My dad used to play this for me when I was a baby... Now I'm 16, he's gone, and I miss him so much... I wish I could bring him back more than anything in this world... But... this song brings me a sense of comfort and hope that one day... I will be in his arms again... I love you daddy...❤️

To lose a father at a young age must be VERY difficult. My heart goes out to you. I lost my daughter to cancer a year ago and I start to cry when I hear music that I associate with her. Music speaks to the slow.
I heard this song every now and then in different places as a kid, but then I never heard it for years. 4 years ago my 3rd son was born, and he would not fall asleep without his little teddy that played a few different songs. This was one of them, but I didn't know the name of the song. I downloaded a piano app on my phone and started trying to copy the sounds from the teddy. Since then I've had to move away, and the relationship with his mother ended. I'm from a different country, and due to illness I've not been able to go back to see him for over 2 years. I've since bought a keyboard, and then a piano, and I tried to play the song from memory. I can now play the entire song, although not as well as you do. I have no idea what the keys are called or how to read notes. I play the entire song by memory, and I don't know how to play any other songs on the piano. One day I will get my life and health back on track so I can see my son again, and I will play him this song.
this piece feels like memories, happy ones. but at the same time it feels sad, reminds you how fast time flies. reminds you that you'll never gonna be able to go back to those days. maybe never see some of your loved ones again. but you made some great memories that's dancing in your mind while you're listening to the melody.
I see all this comments from people enjoying the piece, without anyone harassing anyone, without calling anybody on anything, no insults, just people enjoying under the sheer creativity of a human being they don't even know and I just wonder. Why can't it always be just like that?
I have played piano for about a year or two but my mom always discourages me and says I will never ever in my lifetime be a good pianist. I know I am not the best but I keep on trying but I always feel defeated and wonder why I even live but after listening to this song I feel like I can do anything and I someday will do as good as this. As long as I try I will become a good pianist.
Elena Lin ,I really respect your strong determination, no matter what happens just keep on purchasing your dreams ,I know one day you will become a great pianist, I will remember you in my prayers too, even me,I love playing piano though I am not a good pianist ,I know how you feel, but dear let no one block your way from becoming successful, all the best😣😊😊😊😊
Don't be discouraged. Do it for yourself, not your mother. Pianos aren't meant just to be played by those who are the best. How would the rest of us get enjoyment? I know I will never play like the person here, but that's okay. Stay strong.
Don't worry , just focus on what you have to do , if you give your best God will do the rest, no matter what other people say about you, you are strong and you have the right to live your life , keep practicing and prove your mother that you are born to become a great pianist

After 40 years plus not playing the piano I decided to try again and I picked this piece, this version. I remember hearing my daughter play this when she was taking lessons and i loved it. It takes me hours to go through one page. Once Im somewhat comfortable, I listen to this to make sure Im doing it right. Ill never be this advanced, this is such a beautiful version.
@@goaway123100 Well, it's getting better. So far I have the first 3 pages down pretty good. Still stumbling at times. I've been working on the 4th page now. I'm not taking any professional lessons right now, just using what I learned 40 years ago.

Can anyone else feel the emotions in this piece? Classical is always the best because you can always feel the emotions that are put into making the piece. That's why I love the piano.
I’ve started to learn how to play it so I can show my mom. She asked me to learn how to play it when I was just starting to learn how to play piano. I showed her it today and she was happy.
I really like listening to this music always. It is very relaxing and sounds great. I hope with all my heart that whoever reads this finds happiness and fulfillment
I came across this song when I was 13. It has become my favourite since now and then. From sad to happy, from love and heart broken... Every time it plays, I will found something deep inside my heart...
My mother and mother in law walked down the aisle to this at my wedding. It holds such a special place in my heart. I hope to play it as beautifully as you some day.
When I was a baby, I had a lot of music toys. There was one I remember in particular. It was a little purple box. On each side, there was a picture of a different instrument. If you hit a side, it would play a little short song with the instrument that was on it. One of the sides had a piano. Whenever I would hit that side, 0:52 would play. I ended up forgetting about it for years. Back in June 2020, my school had a virtual talent show. Some kid played this song. And I didn't recognize it at first. When I did, I was hit with memories that I'd forgotten. This song was a huge part of my childhood. I had ignored it and forgotten about it, because half the memories I have from when I was 7 and younger are all distorted and I can't decipher them from a dream and from an actual memory. I know, though, that this was real. These were real memories. I use this song now to help me through hard times. Thank you for making this, otherwise I'd be struggling a lot. I always come back here when I'm upset.
It took me a few years to remember the name of this, but I think this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. When I listen to it with my eyes closed it makes me feel like all is right with the world, and that everything will be okay. I'm in tears as I write this, a 300+ pound grown man...smh. Whoever comes along and reads this comment, be good to each other... we are all ONE.

My biggest regret in life --- I didn't pursue my dream to be a pianist. I am musically astute in piano since 5. One day, my school teacher noticed me playing several songs by ear without the knowledge of musical notes at all. She told me that I should improve my musical skills because she sees that I can be a good pianist one day. At that time, I asked my parents to send me to piano tutorial school but they turned me down because they can't afford it. So I taught myself to play piano as I am growing up and so far, I can play some easy songs on piano. But I think it still would be greater if I can read musical notes so I can play any song. I'm 25 now and still living with that regret. Thank you for uploading this. I often go to this channel whenever I want to listen to this and imagine myself playing this song. It kinda makes my dream come true by at least, in my imagination.
I just can remember my old good times in Portugal during hearing this, and Rosa my portuguese "grandma", was an amazing and adorable person, she was 94 when I saw her for the last time and she passed away have been three years this month. miss my portuguese grandma every day🤍💐 I remember her farm where she lived, the animals, the orchard where the trees were, her cats and her stories, sometimes I stayed until dawn listening to her stories of when she went to Paris, I even keep a doll that she brought with me when she went to visit a friend in Paris, she was in her twenties. I keep with me our last photo and the memories that with her I did.
"Memories" is kinda the cover of Canon in D! Canon in D makes me cry for somehow, it really touches my heart like every note thats played it hits my heart...this is my favorite classical song!
My friend played this song, but as a foreigner, he came back to his country 5 years ago, and maybe I will not have a chance to meet him again in my life...This song is the only thing that remind me about him, thank you very much !!!
Ella me dijo que escuchará la canción, cada vez que la escucho me hace tener paz, una tranquilidad tremenda, me hace sentir que estoy en sus brazos mientras me dice que todo estará bien
its the most beautiful version of this basically beautiful piece. Jacob, you're an amazing piano player, i love how fluently you play with full of emotions, i wish i could ever play on this instrument like you do!
The miss-key at 2:01 reminds us what an amazing piece this is and what a wonder it is. A dance between incorrect notes finds an amazing pleasure for your ears.
I can't express the beauty of this classical music in words. It gives me a sense of higher purpose and makes me glad I'm here to witness the world in all its complexity.
I was looking for a music for my soon Wedding ceremony. Canon is the classic music that I love the most!! Every mood that I change, being happy, sad, depressed etc. I listen to Canon and especially I love it playing by the piano. You make it more beautiful and peaceful. I of course subscribed. Likex10000 Thank you for playing it amazing!
the one thing that never fails to amaze me is the comment section. i mean this in the best way possible. the fact that there are so many languages written here, all praising this piece of music, is stunning
My mom used to play this on piano for me and my brother. That was back when my parents were together and we lived in a nice house and I had friends next door. Now I’m 21, getting older without making progress in my life and my parents live on opposite sides of the country.
I've got a toy, that's a baby toy but I treasure it dearly, that sings various nursery rhymes. I've had it my whole life (14y) and this song is definitely my favorite of all of them, I'm glad I took the time to find the song so I know I can listen to it even when my toy does not work anymore.
This was one of the first pieces that I played on piano (it was far to difficult for someone who had not yet done their grade 1), now I have learnt to play it properly and this is such a great video of such a lovely piece.
I like this song so much. This is the best song ever heard. It feels that I am floating in the air, thinking of something unforgettable. It reminds me when I am a children. It makes me so wanted to go back to my childhood time. I should spend my time wisely too, I really hope that life gave us a second chance.

Best version I’ve heard. Perfect timing, not rushed like most others.
Well, the original Canon in D is much faster. This is the arrangement from 1960s, that everyone knows (and it's very good, no doubt).
rushed means that you're not going at the tempo at which you're trying to play. most other people play it fast but don't rush, because music is art, and art is not rushed

心にぐっと響くピアノの優しさとカノンの優しさはすべての人の心にしあわせと希望をあたえてくれるよ。
Life looks beautiful when I listen to music. So I can't stop the music.
"Memories" is kinda the cover of Canon in D! Canon in D makes me cry for somehow, it really touches my heart like every note thats played it hits my heart...this is my favorite classical song!
Excelso. Gracias por mantener viva esta bella música con tan hermosa ejecución. Muchas gracias de corazón.
Beautiful. Heals the sorrows of the soul.
My friend played this song, but as a foreigner, he came back to his country 5 years ago, and maybe I will not have a chance to meet him again in my life...This song is the only thing that remind me about him, thank you very much !!!

Божественная музыка, благодарю за прекрасное исполнение.
Listening this song while my daughter is playing violin, that's a blessing 💖🙏
Ella me dijo que escuchará la canción, cada vez que la escucho me hace tener paz, una tranquilidad tremenda, me hace sentir que estoy en sus brazos mientras me dice que todo estará bien
Silky hands, angel wings, and a flowing river, that's all I feel.
its the most beautiful version of this basically beautiful piece.
This is the best performance of this piano song on youtube
That's what I call playing from the heart, I can't hear this piece without tears in my eyes, it's simply perfect ❤
One most beautiful songs ever created in my opinion
I can't express the beauty of this classical music in words. It gives me a sense of higher purpose and makes me glad I'm here to witness the world in all its complexity.
A freaking mad man!!! I need his fingers!!! God Bless you!! So beautiful!!!
Ce n'est pas que beau à écouter, mais également beau à regarder ces mains pianoter avec grâce ce si bel instrument de musique.
the one thing that never fails to amaze me is the comment section. i mean this in the best way possible. the fact that there are so many languages written here, all praising this piece of music, is stunning
When i listen to this beautiful musical creativity.. i feel like i m emerged by happiness and peace .. thank you ❤

Best version of Canon that i heard.
I love how he plays it so softly and gently. This is the best canon in d solo version I’ve ever heard
This is the best I have heard yet. Wow
My mom used to play this on piano for me and my brother. That was back when my parents were together and we lived in a nice house and I had friends next door. Now I’m 21, getting older without making progress in my life and my parents live on opposite sides of the country.
Você sabe como essa peça é calmante para minha almas Eu poderia ouvi-la por horas, dias..Obrigado por enviar esta arte para compartilhar conosco
This made me feel happy and sad and inspired me to learn more songs on piano thanks
Tocar asi es uno de mis mas grandes anelos , pero ver a este profesional tocar tan delicadamente el piano me hace amar aun mas esta pieza .
I like this song so much. This is the best song ever heard. It feels that I am floating in the air, thinking of something unforgettable. It reminds me when I am a children. It makes me so wanted to go back to my childhood time. I should spend my time wisely too, I really hope that life gave us a second chance.
A melody that won’t be outdated ever!
I have had this on loop for a while now and it is perfect for studying for exams!
Still my favorite song, ever! Peacefully 😍
