@@TheGarageDoctor i completely agree. i had never heard of anyone saying that before. i thought plastic was standard because it came in the box from the manufacturer but why in the world would we want any kind of plastic near the springs of all places lol
@jameschuke4104 it is preferred that there be no cars in the garage when switching springs, but when the customer has two broken springs, it's much more difficult to get the car out as the door is dead weight
So sick of all this danger zone fearmongering. God forbid you watch any other technician work. If you know how things work, you know what to watch out for.
Bro great content
Great video! Keep them coming.
Outstanding content and delivery
Can you do a video breakdown of weighing the door, measuring it, drum size, and deciding what springs work best?
@nhbackyardgarage1892 Yes, we will make a whole different video on all those components
First door co that put the vise grip on the torsion tube the correct way next to the end bearing plate
i thought the plastic bearing was standard…
@yopanda9162 I should be metal, I don't recommend having any sort of moving part be plastic on a garage door

He is totally in the danger zone when winding.
he kept his body far enough away and he has plenty of experience to wind the springs in anyway that’s best for him.
