- It was a big mistake i have done to my bike during initial stage. When i went for extra accessories for my bike JC Road, Bangalore, few people encouraged me to go with silencer wrap saying "this will reduce heat and increase thump". Since i was not aware the consequences of these products, i fell in those ppl words and opted for this wrap. As a Result, i got this punishment where i regretted for using silence wrap.

Hi bro, Same issue I have faced
I tried 3 steps 1) rub the sand paper on silencer untill smoothness 2) apply yellow primer 3) apply Matt spray paint.
Note -*first 1 week after riding you will face huge paint smell on silencer ...later no smell
*if u Directly applying Matt paint spary on silincer paint skin will remove in few days due to over heat

Heat Resistant Paint, automobile shops la available bro....thats only best
Neenga show panathu, acrylic paint, it will pears off and melt soonly,..when ur silencer reach peak heat.... Be carefull, it also seems to stick our pants while driving

Hi I am having a old Electra bullet since 2012.In my opinion not only the silencer wrap also the black nylon rope what they have wrapped over your steel Bumper it will not let the water to dry easily when ever u drive in rain or water wash..Better remove that black nylon thread too.Else that would cost more for replacement. Incase if u get a hole in your silence pipe just go directly to quality direct seller in chennai and you can get same black one at a very low price..
No need to remove that rope coz it came with bumper.

No need to worry about it bro, it's just worth of around 2k rs also if won't affect your bike engine or silencer. In this case no need to remove until it get boke down. Well mine is 3 years old now.

This is common sense bro. Sorry to say. We are all educated and should think once while doing.
If exhaust wrap is good, RE would even do it for their bikes for free . Then why didnt you thought even once why RE didnt wrap the silencer in first place?? . Do you think RE want save some 400-500 rs..???
Exhaust gases are very very hot and even exhaust valve spits fire. The exhaust gets incredibly hot from the outlet pipe.
By covering it you are not allowing thr heat dissipate properly which infact destroys thr silencer, increase in engine heat and may fry the valves in long run.
But good thing is you have known your mistake, removed that shit and make the silencer gets black powder 2 coatings bro 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Very true bro it will spoil the bend... i experienced the same bought new second hand bend and Again wrapped ... FYI the wrap is just for looks not for performance or thump... just for the look o have done it for the second time. It will last atleast 3 years....

Hi bro, when u r servicing Ur bike.... Did the service engg didn't advice u....Glass wool is a insulator material which won't allow heat to dissipate.... Which is against the concept of silencer....Anyway it's all learning....

No need to remove, it came like that. So no need to take tenson on that, even it get rist also it won't affect the engine or bike.
