i am in my late 50's and changed my camera on my 2011 terrain! i did break a clamp only because the piece came off so easy and fast i was unpaired lol... no worries .. my only problem was i kept letting the door close and having to hook up the battery to open the door up ! like 3 times lol thanks so much you saved me a lot of money and i felt good to have done it myself
Thanks, this video helped a ton. Just replaced my Terrain's camera. I would've completely missed 2 of the nuts and probably ruined another part if i didn't watch this.
Good video. Fixed camera on my 2013 Equinox by disconnect/reconnect the 2 main harness connectors. Likely oxidation on the contacts over time. Applied dielectric grease to protect the contacts when reconnecting. Works fine now.
Klowny! My 3rd Gen Camaro's backup camera is right arm over right seat head turn backwards! THANKS for bringing back camera girl! Also we can see your face! Nice changes! "Break everything ba-by!"
i HAVE A 2020 GMC ACADIA and the camera works but foggy as if the lens was dirty. I made sure to clean the lens and did not help. still foggy. any suggestions?
MY 2012 DONT SHOW THE LINES IN THE CAMERA VIEW. IS THAT CAUSE MY MAKE AND MODEL DONT HAVE THAT FEATURE OR I NEED A NEW CAMERA ???? DID YOUR FIRST CAMERA HAVE THE LINES FOR PARKING ????
I will be doing this install this weekend. What do you think of the Dorman camera replacement? My current camera on my Terrain is working but washed out from the sun. If light hits it can't see anything. Seems like the colors on your replacement were not very vibrant. This might be a limitation on the screen itself but didn't know if they new camera would be better.
Hello. Is that camera not an original GM brand but it is just for that model of vehicle? I ask because I would install the camera from the Buick Regal on the Opel Insignia. Everything is the same except for the part code, which is logical. Cam for Buick is 60$ and for Opel 400e 😞
Replacing the camera does not make the guide lines show up on the display does it? My 2012 Equinox camera has practically no image to display when it is raining or when the camera at the license plate gets wet, so I want to replace it. Too bad the entire panel on the rear lift door has to be removed to get to the camera to replace it with one that is waterproof. And it has no guide lines on the display.
I hate those Clips, More than Half break off any time I remove a Panel/Cover. I wish they would go back to Screws and Bolts instead of Plastic thst breaks pretty much every time you disturb it

The 4 bolts that are attached to the part where the camera is just keep turning. How can I get them off without messing anything up?
Does it have that part to connect a backup camera to even if it doesn’t come with one? Maybe if yhu want to change the radio
did your original camera have the back up lines or did the new camera have these

Does this also work with the rear parking aid?
The lines are a part of the infotainment center, not the camera.
Two different cars?
The circuitry REVERSES the picture Left and Right?
does this work if the camera is wired to the rearview mirror like in my 2011 gmc terrain
It still has a camera in the back..don't forget to subscribe
Is that your green 3rd gen? Klowny, it seems you had a video on how to change obd I settings with Supertuner?! Do you have a video like that?
Yes it is..check my channel on a video about how to tune..it's a quickie and doesn't go into too much detail
So you can do this without taking the whole back end apart?
Pretty much..Thanks for watching and don't forget to subscribe and hit that bell
Why would the camera go bad? My mopar cameras last forever - GM problem?
It happens. Cars suck lol
