Yup! I grew up in rural Oklahoma. This series was so endearing to me since my dad was a car guy, and we always had some old cars he was restoring, and the good ole humor and down home intrigue just made the show that much more appealing….in ways I couldn’t understand or put into words as an 8 year old boy, but can now look back and continue to enjoy. I watch those shows now and actually discover some things that I didn’t realize then since I was usually just watching the General Lee!
I worked at universal studios in the seventies as a prop maker and had the pleasure of seeing Daisy Duke in person in one of the hangers and she smiled at me and wow talk about a beautiful woman, it's been around forty- five years and I still remember that smile that left me feeling excited that such a beautiful actress like her would give me a smile like that 😊 and seeing her today she has aged very very well. Your still very beautiful Catherine!
You can’t say enough good things about Denver Pyle. The reason he was so great as uncle Jesse is because I truly believe he had that in him naturally. I don’t think he had to do much acting. He was also Briscoe Darling from the great Andy Griffith show. Two of his most natural parts. Every child should have an uncle Jesse in their life.
Schneider still looks really youthful. Wow!! You guys were my absolute heroes growing up in early 80s. It was all do great on Friday night until the Dallas intro played. Had to wait a full week for the next one. Thank you guys
This was so fun! All of you are still the same, voices and everything. Thank you for doing this show. You still have many, many fans still out here and new upcoming fans because of it.
This was so amazing to watch! Tom, Catherine, & John WILL ALWAYS be Bo, Luke, & Daisy. Maybe one day I'll get to meet Catherine & Tom. Last year on October 8th 2022 I met John Schneider & he was such a genuinely nice guy & a sweetheart. My love & prayers will always go out to John after his loss of his Smile Alicia ❤️🙏🏻🫂 John Schneider & James Best is the reason for my love for the show The Dukes of Hazzard & will always be forever.
James Best's performance in the episode "The Ghost of General Lee" will bring tears to your eyes when he's telling Uncle Jesse the boys drowned when they crashed into a pond.
Sonny Shroyer, same episode. I mean ya just wanna cry when Enos tells Roscoe he cant swim. 😢😢😢 probably one of the most emotional episodes ever on that show. Yeah. James and Sonny....
@@crazylegs4737 Was that the one where Boss Hogg was kidnapped by gangsters and Roscoe begged Bo and Luke for help because the gangsters were going to kill Boss Hogg?
@@JoeR203 No it was the last episode of the series in Season 7. Roscoe was trying to be a magician and Boss Hogg went in a magic box. But Boss escaped through some kind of trap door and Roscoe really thought he made his fat little buddy (Boss Hogg) disappear. lol That is all from memory. The one you are referring to was about stolen money plates. That caused Boss Hogg to be kidnapped and was told he would die if somebody didn't bring back those stolen money plates. Hope that helps.

He was having a pretty crappy week last month and I wanted to cheer him up, so I bought him the complete DVD set of the show. His face lit up like it was Christmas morning and watched all 7 seasons that weekend. He even shed a tear during the episode the General Lee went into the lake and everyone thought the Dukes were dead. I'll admit it, I laughed at him. But it was really sweet seeing how much this show still means to him 40+ years later.
That’s a great story. Seeing anything related to the Dukes of Hazzard invokes memories of my childhood with my grandfather. He was a Kansas farmer that wore overalls pretty much everyday. Pretty much the spitting image of Uncle Jesse without the beard. It was a simpler time.
There aren't too many stars from this series alive anymore. Sorrell Booke, Denver Pyle, Peggy Rae, James Best, Waylon Jennings and Don Colley just to name a few. God bless them, and the rest of the wonderful actors/actresses that were in this show. It's great to see these three still getting together, keeping the memories alive.

I was there, I was standing back next to the double doors that you walk through to get into this room. So if anyone was there, I was wearing a shirt from the Fall Guy TV show. The cast members were talking about Boss Hogg's speed traps. one other country singer acted on the show. Mr. Mel Tillis and soon-to-be Mrs. Dorthery Best. I was going to raise my hand and say that. but time had run out. I had a wonderful time at this event, I had a great time talking with "My Friends" Tom Wopat, Catherine Bach, John Schneider, and others. The lead actor who played BJ Mckay was there and I had a great time chatting with him throughout the show on Sunday. I'll be uploading my video on Retro-Con 2023 some time in the near future So keep your eye's open for it. I'll add some of the photography I took there. I have a few rare photos you'll want to see.
Just seeing this now - Love it! John nailed it when he stated how we love the show still as fond memories of who we watched it with. And Tom gave a great description of the show - good fun family entertainment. Wish there would have been time to ask Tom about his County Line movies - really enjoyed those. Thank you for this. And Thank you to Catherine, John, and Tom for still taking the time to engage with fans!
Like so many others, my greatest memories of this show have everything to do with family. I'm the yougest of 5. I'll never forget the entire family gathering around to TV just for the Dukes.
It's hell. They don't make a manual on how your supposed to deal. I know I lost someone I loved so very much. The reason their is no manual is because it's a different perspective from each and everyone. No one ha does grief the same. You may due well one. Then you break down the next. It's such a guttural gut-wrenching thing. Be glad if you never had that to contend with. 🙏🙏🙏❤

Don’t forget Frank Hamer in Bonnie and Clyde
Alsooo..He played 5 episodes on the Rifleman.
Denver Pyle also played on Grizzly Adams for the 2 seasons it was on.
@@georgebarlow2484 Mad Jack, with his mule, #7.
Also Denver Pyle was in an OG episode of Twilight Zone called "Black Leather Jackets"
Schneider still looks really youthful. Wow!! You guys were my absolute heroes growing up in early 80s. It was all do great on Friday night until the Dallas intro played. Had to wait a full week for the next one. Thank you guys
Glad to see John smiling ❤❤❤
Love the show and its great to see these three still together and obviously decent down to earth people.
So great to see them all together.
My love & prayers will always go out to John after his loss of his Smile Alicia ❤️🙏🏻🫂
John Schneider & James Best is the reason for my love for the show The Dukes of Hazzard & will always be forever.
I love watching The Dukes of Hazzard. ❤❤❤
It’s awesome seeing the three Duke cousins back together again! Loved watching the Dukes of Hazzard when I was growing up.
DOH still as relevant and enjoyable as back in the day. Nothing but love and respect for all of them.
Yeah. James and Sonny....
yeah and also the one where Roscoe thought he really made Boss disappear with his magic trick. Roscoe was in tears over his little fat buddy
I met sorrell Brooke when I was a kid, I thought he was really mean in real life, but was so nice it confused me😂, he even picked me up and set me on his knee while explaining he just plays a mean character but its not real😂😂 just so i would understand
I worked with James best, years after he retired. not knowing who he was at the time. He was always good for a laugh. He was always yodeling. Very down to earth guy.
What? You didn't know who he was? Didn't you watch Andy Griffith show? He was like Elvis back in the day, he was in tons of old shoes, and westerns
Yeah I got to meet James Best in a play Hickory North Carolina On Golden Pond that was April of 2014 I know he passed away April 2015 I am so glad I got to meet him
It is so nice to see you all. I grew up watching the Dukes of Hazard and I Love 💕 watching you all Such great actors. Love ❤️ you all. God Bless you all and your families ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Such an awesome show during an awesome era of TV.❤
Dukes of Hazzard show is good I grew up watching the Dukes of Hazzard ❤❤❤❤
Great to see everyone doing so well. Luke Duke was my favorite character on the Dukes back in the day but they are all great.
Mine too lol
John Schneider suggesting they get up and sit on the table because the people in the back of the audience couldn't see shows u what kinda guy he is, such a down to earth and nice guy, love him
Loved Dukes since I was 5. Watched it religiously every Friday at 8. Love seeing the 3 of them together
One of the best showw ever❤!!! Best of the 80s and I love the Duke boys!!! Great recap..thanks y'all! Y'all made our lives back then. Such a down to earth, good ole country show that showcased simpler times! Life was fun, easy, shows and music were the BEST!!! Loved Uncle Jesse and Daisy, Roscoe, Cooter, Enos, Boss Hogg..Lulu..and Flash the dog!!! Loved everyone in this show...thank y'all for the memories still today that made our lives so great back then!!!🤍🤍🤍🌟🌟🌟⏳🏅🔥Today in 2024 it would still be just as great to see you all on screen still!!! Hats off to y'all...loving you guys still here in Alabama!!❤❤❤
Cannot believe it was an entire week ago that we were spending time with them, being in the same room with them, talking to them, getting our picture taken with them!!!! Thank you so much for this video. We had an amazing weekend at Retro Con this year (as usual) and the "stoked" wears off all too soon. This helps to revisit the moments that were so great and keep us going til the next one. YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaw!
Prayers to John a great guy... all of these people seem really sincere, John continues to share his light and I am sure his wife is waiting with the good lord. John, thank you for all your positive vibes. You seem to keep good company.
Jesus said there is "NO" marriage in heaven. We will all be like the angels and brothers and sisters in Christ. Ready your Bible. Never assume.
Moments like this is why I love RetroCon. Fantastic show, can't wait to come back next year.
Good to see you three together.
I love this! Dukes Of Hazzard was my favorite growing up. I’m so glad to see you back John
My grandparents, parents aunts and uncle would be playing cards in the kitchen while all the kids watched the dukes, after the dukes was over they all came in and watched Dallas and us kids fell asleep. The good old days.
That’s exactly what happened at my house growing up. I love to reminisce about those days 😊
What a amazing set of memories they have. And so darn gracious.
Just A Good Old Boys. Never Meaning No Harm. The Dukes Of Hazzard Was My Childhood Show.
I just turned 60 and the Dukes of Hazzard was really an influence in my life. Small town boy that was a bowhunter and loved NASCAR/Muscle cars and a huge Waylon Jennings fan. Still watch the shows to this day when they are on.
I loved every bit of this. Thank you so much for posting
The Dukes of Hazzard is still one of my favourite shows ever, great memories, lots of love and respect from Australia. 🙏
Brings back great childhood memories, feels like Im 10years old again carrying my Dukes Of Hazzard lunchbox and matching thermos to school.
Good to see y'all back together. One of my favorite shows as a kid. God bless

Duke of hazard was a awesome show it’s a great show thank you John cathy and Tom for that injoy show ❤😊
he's right this was a family show, where the whole family could watch.
They sure don't make great shows like they did back in the 80's. Glad I lived through those great years. The good old days❤
No matter who tried to get the parts, they chosen the right actors, I just loved , " The Dukes of Hazzard " series.
Ah, come on. You know damn well it should have been Coy and Vance the whole time. 😂
So, this is after his wife's passing..? Yes good to see John in good spirits and surrounded with his closest friends/family and fans who love them and DUKES.
Why not he's already been dating
He’s dating already? How do you know?
@@1turfguyWhere did you see this. I've not saw anything. Yet it he is and I don't think this is true. His beloved Smile, is gone. He is still here. Life is hard so is grief. I lost my Husband two years ago. I've not dated. I thought I've been through a lot of hell. Yet this is nothing like a divorce. It's permanent. You want see them walking down the street with someone. They are gone forever until you also die. Then you need to make sure your right with God. If not you never get to see them again. I know he loved Alicia so very much. Many dream about a love like theirs. Yet never find it. I find it sad to speak about John if you don't know this to be a true fact. Catherine and John are close as if they are family. Well all 3. I think it's great to see them all together in one place. 🙏💕💖😊
@@melaniekolomyja7335 Exactly. Say it was true. This doesn't mean he didn't love his wife. She's gone. Shen people go to heaven. They only wish good things for the ones they left behind. I watched my Mom stay single for 10 years after my Dad died. She was 10 years you her and she could have had a relationship with someone else. I can say I know that's what my Dad would wanted for her. Not to be alone. She got so lonely. No matter how much time we spent with her. We could not fill that void. That's heartbreaking. Unless you just a person who loves to see someone else in pain. Wow sad. 💖😢

This is my husbands all-time favourite show. Never missed an episode when he was a kid.
Great interview! John and Catherine appear very close! Thanks for posting.
It looks like they are dating now.
@@frank-xp6pjoh FFS they aren't dating! 🙄🤦♀️🤣

Wow love to see them again
I was a kid watching this iconic show in the 80's, with my grandmother. :)
Thank you all for all the great memories
Love Catherine in dukes of Hazzard bc shes is so damn gorgeous even though the show ended shes still beautiful as ever.
She sure is!
I say daisy still be cute in da 80s I wuz wishin i had a general lee and daisy mane
This was great to see. Made me feel like a kid aga😅n . Thanks.
My all time favorite TV show 😊
It helped make Friday nights so special, the Dukes, then Dallas, a wonderful Friday night lineup.
Thanks for sharing. Takes me back to a simpler time.
Watching the show in the 80s were some of the best years of my life growing up Just the Good ole Boys🇺🇲👍
Such a great show and memories of my childhood
Just seeing this now - Love it!
John nailed it when he stated how we love the show still as fond memories of who we watched it with. And Tom gave a great description of the show - good fun family entertainment.
Wish there would have been time to ask Tom about his County Line movies - really enjoyed those.
Thank you for this.
And Thank you to Catherine, John, and Tom for still taking the time to engage with fans!
Miss those days of watching this show !

Miss Daisy Duke..still looking beautiful 😍 🤩
As a kid, I grew up watching this show back in England. Loved it! Even had a Dukes of Hazzard car racing set at one point.
I so wish I could've gone to this!
Like so many others, my greatest memories of this show have everything to do with family. I'm the yougest of 5. I'll never forget the entire family gathering around to TV just for the Dukes.
still friends 50 years later...nice
Good to see John is doing well. Never easy to lose a loved one
oH AMEN HAVE LOST 4 FAMILY MEMBERS TO CANCER

Such fond memories of sitting in my grandparents living room watching the Dukes of Hazzard on Friday nights. CBS had a fantastic tv lineup back then on Friday nights. Then get up Saturday morning and watch Bugs Bunny cartoons for about 3 or 4 hours. Great times to be a kid.
