I see you’re not using the “funnel”, but a pyramid. I’m glad, because I think the “funnel” image is wrong. So darn wrong. it gives the subconscious concept of something getting to the “bottom” like magic, thanks to gravity. If it was a funnel, we should also imagine to pour alive spiders: the unlucky, weak ones will fall down, but the rest will fight to get out. Like that, makes more sense, but still you’re forcing them and no living being would like it, so won’t work.
But using a pyramid, makes so much more sense: you have to convince them it’s a good idea to hike to the top, so make them wanna get to the top. Free will works better.
      Makes sense? 🤔

Hey Dan, I'm planning on opening a service based business and was wondering how much does location matter. For example, should I open in the more expensive part of town and deal with higher overhead that I may not be able to pay or open in a less expensive area but deal with loitering and potential criminal activity. Everything in between seems to be taken already. Thanks.

Dan hands down, you're the man!! I recently let into my house a door to door vacuum cleaner salesperson, purely out of curiosity as to how he was going to sell this product to me. He brought out a folder, started telling the WHOLE history of the company....sigh...I lost interest and just had to stop him. I then said I don't really care, I just wanted to know, how well does the vacuum cleaner work!? I said, show me how it works and you might have my attention. Long story short, I showed him his way out very soon after that. So this concept of letting a client/customer get a "taste" of what you have to offer is spot on.

Wow, I love the new effort behind your editing. The way the pyramid shifts so it stays parallel to you when the camera angle changes, that´s fantastic. Also how it just blurs everything behind it instead of simply covering it up completely. Finally, the way you keep looking at it as if it was really there floating in front of you. Amazing.

Dan, great video, as always. This is actually a vivid example of a Nurture Marketing Strategy. You build a sales-relationship with an individual. Our goal is to identify where they are at in the product-purchase life-cycle and nurture them to purchase. All you need to find out is 1) Who your clients are? and 2) Where are they in the product purchase cycle.

Dan great lecture. As for me i'm in software engineering and one of the ways i give a taste is by having some apps out there for free. Some of them might have ad's on top running for revenue but some don't have any kinds of ad's, its just a free app they can use for something they need or play a game they might enjoy when traveling or needing to kill sometime. I think its a great way of getting the rest of your potential customers by giving them a taste to savor and enjoy. Then later on they can look at what other goodies you have to offer and partake of some of those, even the ones with a price tag because they've seen you have a quality product to offer. Keep up the great work.

*I'd say that if you really want to get out there and start getting more customers you start with getting a mirror for your business. See what you're bringing out there and don't forget to bring people value. Not any kind of value, the actual value they need. How? It's easy there is a small secret weapon (maybe not that secret) it's called social media. People buy from people they know.*

Thanks Dan for the clarity and insights. Something that seemed to be common sense but not so common in actual practice.
Will definitely categorise my leads accordingly .
    Cheers!

Sifu. I always knew this back of my mind. But was not sure. I today learnt to think about the 90-60 percent slab market space.
It was awesome. I think I can use this technique to sell service and goods too.

I will show people the qualities that they have to choose and make a video off.
I am doing smartphone, tablets, smartwatches and macbook repairs.
The most common repair are screen replacements, there are a lot off different qualitities on the market but which one is the best for the customer.
From the customer perspective they will only choose price because they dont know the difference about budget quality or someone else triple AAA quality.
This video made so much clear for me
Thankyou for this and i will brainstorm more on this to have the best solution on how i can let my customers taste my quality!

It's always better to prove with actions; than with words, or to brag about how good you are. Just show them how good you are by giving them a piece of you. Actions speak louder than words.

As a Memory Coach, what I do is give them all the techniques and skills upfront and have them experience the result of memory improvement straight away. That way the prospect knows that my service not only works, but gains an insight into how the skills can help them with what they really want and hire my services. Just thought I'd share.

I provide free samples to my clients to try at home , I also ask if they have a preferred fragrance category. If so, I send them scent samples from that category. As always great video, thank you so much for sharing.

Magnificent video, in these few minutes of listening and watching this video, giving a sample is something I always felt I should do when prospecting for customers or team members.
As a hair stylist, all of my cold market clients came to me because, I gave them something valuable that gave them results they wanted and loved, but they were always expecting a bargain after that.
Now as a beauty marketer/vlogger newbie, I hear people in the industry saying create curiosity, never mention the product or company, the other half believes in plastering the walls with the company's name and product samples to attract people.
I cannot go forward and I feel stuck. How do I attract the right people who wants the products and do not mind paying for what they need and want?
