The music in the end before your final encounter with Dracula is one of my favorite in the entire franchise(music for Death, Gaibon,Slogra), but the one boss fight that gets me is Simon Belmont's against Death. The intro being all the forms and souls of Death himself fusing together with a bad ass withering sound effect, as he becomes the final guardian to stand in your way to reach Dracula in his tower, waiting for your presence.Even though a majority of professionals who master this game and make his battle look like a loading screen full of boredom, I still tend too enjoy it. Overall my statement is that Super Castlevania 4 is the best Castlevania game in its entire franchise for the emotion that reaches to the players.
I'm impressed you managed to beat that fucking red skull without getting hit. I hate that fight, there's just too much shit going on to handle, it always just turns into a DPS war where I make sure I go in with full health and just trade hits with the boss til it's dead.
The Skeleton Rider and Jouster, Rowdain The Half-Human Serpent, Medusa The Orphic Vipers of Hydra The Licks you up, Puwixel The Giant Golem, Koranot The Undead Couple, Dancing Spectres The Supreme Knight, Sir Grakul's Armor The Mechanical Monstrosity, Frankenstein The Gold-Encrusted Giant Bat, Zapf Bat Undead Mummy, Akmodan II Two of Death's Subordinates, Slogra and Gaibon Dracula's Right-Hand Servant, Death or Grim Reaper And, The Prince of Darkness and Master of Castlevania, Lord Dracula
I agree completely. SCV4’s Death was the most incredible entrance of all the games. I never really cared much for how Death was essentially transformed into Dracula’s secretary in the later games. Ridiculous.
Two of the bosses names are quite fitting when spelled backwards. Puwexil, the skull with the tong (lixewup, licks you up) and the stone golem after, Koranot (tonarok, ton a rock). Konami had a sense of humor, and sometimes they'd show it.
I **so** wish I had seen this video before doing my playthrough series of Super Castlevania IV. Had no idea about the strategies you utilized with Frankenstein's Monster and the Mini-Gold Bats.
Bjorn Berkers Several of the sounds are noticeably off but the two that sound exceptionally goofy are Gaibon's fireball spit sound and the sound from Dracula's beam of light. It seems like the sounds that are off are the ones that have pitch bends.
For a real SNES sound, SNES9x 1.53, BSNES and Virtual Console are a good choice. ZSNES crap out a lot of games, Super Mario World has weird sound effects, Earthworm Jim 2 even play the sound effects, just a "corruption sound", etc.
That quick and violent Dracula battle is the frustration of Simon Belmont having to fight this bastard for the third time. He should have stayed dead after his organs were burnt. Next time let Richter deal with him.
I can't even beat the final 4 castle bosses (I'm including dracula) without dying a million times, and you did it with no dmg. What kinda sorcery is this?
***** want a fcking cookie, punk?? lol just kidding around. Practice makes perfect tho, even this uploader must have gotten his butt kicked before mastering this game :)
+Zepher Tensho yeah i hear the NES castlevania's were some of the hardest? i wonder if it's true. my first castlevania was the gameboy one (super slow and kinda hard/annoying), then the Snes one, genesis and Ps1 etc strangely enough i found symphony of the night the easiest
I also have to ask... how DID you get so lucky in the Slogra battle? Seems like he barely dashed at you at all, and he does it nearly constantly when I've battled and reached his "2nd form".
I wonder if the ball guests (minions and bosses) are based on the story of Vlad The Impaler killing his guests one day? I also wonder what it would've been like if Simon fought Bogeyman (Pyramid Head from Silent Hill: Homecoming") in their place? What would it be like if Dracula's second form was Count Orlock?
This game was a breath of fresh air. It had awesome graphics, great sfx, an unforgettable soundtrack and above all.. I DIDNT WANT TO CRUSH MY CONTROLER THROUGH THE TV AT THE BULLSHIT DIFFICULTY. Gasp...even thinking of #2 pisses me off lpl.
nice i did also a full in-depth playthrough No hit but i said hell with it and used sub weapons.. got to love that OP Cross th-cam.com/video/uTJcepiXFoQ/w-d-xo.html really adore this epic timeless classic and it's whole series
Wow...tell me boss on level 4 isn't a dead ringer for the oafish modern day Donald Trump? The face, hunch, and of course, his knack for tearing things down. It's uncanny!
Respect for playing through any Castlevania game and not taking damage
And respect for not ending dracula too fast during Simon's theme
You couldn't have said it better 👏
- Amazing pinpoint controls for every boss battle.
- Misses the stairs at 10:27

@@LoneWolf_Cub_Ogami_Itto until now that song is badass

The Skeleton Rider and Jouster, Rowdain
The Half-Human Serpent, Medusa
The Orphic Vipers of Hydra
The Licks you up, Puwixel
The Giant Golem, Koranot
The Undead Couple, Dancing Spectres
The Supreme Knight, Sir Grakul's Armor

The Gold-Encrusted Giant Bat, Zapf Bat
Undead Mummy, Akmodan II
Two of Death's Subordinates, Slogra and Gaibon
Dracula's Right-Hand Servant, Death or Grim Reaper
And, The Prince of Darkness and Master of Castlevania, Lord Dracula
Undead Couple: Paula Abghoul and Fred Ascare
The only character missing seems to be the werewolf out of all of the characters in this villain cast, him and the creature from the black lagoon
Missed opportunity to call Koranot the ton of rock.
just reminds me how good the music in this game is.
One of the best castlevania games ever made besides symphony of the night.
+john doe Nope! Aria of Sorrow was :P
I'll be honest. Death had the coolest intro in this game.
yes :)
:D
Dracula has something to say about that
I agree completely. SCV4’s Death was the most incredible entrance of all the games. I never really cared much for how Death was essentially transformed into Dracula’s secretary in the later games. Ridiculous.
Just finished beating it no damage, f***ing A this game will chew you up and spit you out what a masterpiece

And the Dancing Spectres were named Paula Aghoul and Fred Ascare.

I don't know whether it was deliberate, but I appreciate you finishing Drac on the Stage Clear theme.
Man what a fool you make out of Death. Excellent work sir!
One of the best castlevania games if not one of the best games ever
I really wish the programmers kept the room quacking during the fight with Death. It would have given the battle extra drama.
12:40 when’s those blocks stop dropping and that music starts leading to the final battle, that’s when you know that Shit just got real.
you the absolute KING of SC 4, maximum respect player !!
The only boss I ever had any trouble beating was Slogra
Nothing says "I mean business", quite like a jewel encrusted bat, pooping gold.
I'll do you one better, 3 jewel encrusted bats, pooping gold!
The mummy boss fight gave me a good laugh. Good strategy. XD
Still my favorite version of the Grim Reaper. This one was just ruthless.
Agreed way harder than Castlevania 3’s in my opinion
Oh, Death is using Boomerang Cutter! Oh, those are sickles.
Some of the bosses have just the strangest death animations
Very impressive!!!
Man thank you! I was having the worst time against Death!
try doing it without upgrading whip on hard
The SNES emulators never seem to get the SCV4 sound effects quite right.
Sounds ok for me
Bjorn Berkers Several of the sounds are noticeably off but the two that sound exceptionally goofy are Gaibon's fireball spit sound and the sound from Dracula's beam of light. It seems like the sounds that are off are the ones that have pitch bends.

I haven't played this game but the bosses look a lot easier to handle than the ones in castlevania 3

+Zepher Tensho git gud, pleb
How very original. Guess you'll be thrilled to know that I can geth thru these bosses just fine now.
***** want a fcking cookie, punk??

I wanna see someone boss rush Castlevania 3. I think there's one out there actually
+Zepher Tensho yeah i hear the NES castlevania's were some of the hardest? i wonder if it's true.

okay!

The Dracula battle you got lucky with those flames that's were I always got super damage
This is my game of the infance :')
there is a invisible bridge in lower left hand corner just below the stairs to Dracula
+Andrew Anderson mega bonus yes!!!
Simon is fighting the background on the Konarut boss battle.
I mean Koranot
Hit the skull in stage 4 and almonds fall from the celing.... Man CVIV was/is great!
Respect
The controls seem much more responsive for you than they do for me on the SNES Classic. I've never been great at Castlevania, so it could just be me.
michaeloffgrid I just beat it for the first time on the snes classic and I haven't had any issues
SUPER CASTLEVANIA 4
This game terrified me as a child... They don't make em like this anymore...
excelente
love this
Have you ever notice Simon's head, its like Richter's head
Thanks dude!
I saw that jump cut at the gargoyle u aint slick. Lol gj tho I coudnt imagine how many tries that took u
and the one at dracula
Not striking a pose after defeating a Boss should be illegal xD
This game was a breath of fresh air. It had awesome graphics, great sfx, an unforgettable soundtrack and above all..
I DIDNT WANT TO CRUSH MY CONTROLER THROUGH THE TV AT THE BULLSHIT DIFFICULTY.

really adore this epic timeless classic and it's whole series
Still wondering how you did this with them two massive balls over your shoulder
This sounds weird compared to the original game. Not bad, just weird. I wonder what happened. Simon’s theme is actually kinda groovier here, NGL.
pro tip:be stoned on stage 2 boss battle on your powerful whip its trick and easy! (closer to boss stage 2 on be stoned and attack him its easy?)
Lena- Lenok By "stoned", do you mean petrified?
