  • @dr.honeypot6268

    you should wrap the entire 4 foot board in duck tape, fiber tape, and fiber fix it and actually read and use the fiber fix it properly as it is resin based so it needs to cure to be strong. also by wraping the entire board you wont run into any issues and will make sure it goes until the tape/ resin actually breaks.

  • @pyromaniac000000
    @pyromaniac000000 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    Thought, a primary use for tape like this is to stop leaking pipes quickly. If you keep adding water to a container, the bottom will increase in pressure, and if you had a small hole at the bottom, and patched the hole with various types of tape......you see where I’m going with this? Maybe a pvc contraption, a bucket to catch and conserve water, and test how much pressure they can take before tearing open.

    • @12434567891
      @12434567891 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      only rubberized or silicone tapes are used to stop leaking pipes. duct tape is not used to stop leaks( unless its a small vacuum leak) , it is used to temporarily fix things that are breaking, such as a wooden chair leg, or maybe a window pane, plastic laundry hamper, stuff like that. That is the sole purpose and reason for tape, to hold stuff together til it gets where it needs to go, or you replace and fix it. Even the rubber and silicone tapes are temporary fixes for leaking pipes. But if you are asking how much pressure tape can hold, you just seen the answer. it holds anywhere between 30-45 pounds of pressure. seeing how most waterlines are pushed through at about 60 psi, sometimes more or less, Duct tape would not be a good or viable option, seeing how it is not waterproof, and the adhesive is terrible in wet conditions.

      Daniel Byrne he went out of his way to go “um actually” so ya. And either way, most people will use duct tape to fix a minor leak until a real plumber can get over to fix it. Because it’s better than causing massive water damage to your house. And either way, it would be comparing multiple tapes, not just duct tape, so again, his comment deserves massive criticism, as does yours, because your comment lacks any forethought and just attempts to mock when it only accomplishes you looking like a child desperate for attention. Anyway, I’m tired as hell, and i get ranty when I’m sleepy. Go Red Forman yourself.

    • @12434567891
      @12434567891 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pyromaniac000000 i wouldnt have said shit, if you didnt make the stupid comment that tape was used to fix leaking pipes. No one uses tape to fix leaking water lines. If they do, then they are stupid, its not made for fixing leaking pipes. And your pvc contraption idea, is basically what he does with the weights and brick. literally the exact same thing. Im sure you're fun at parties too, like one of those people that show up and eat all the pizza, while going you know this party would have been better if you bought pizza.

    You might want to test the water-resistance of the tapes. Duck tape (original name, btw) was given its tag due to it being almost impervious to inclement weather, hence its name. It was adopted for use in the heating and cooling trades and acquired the duct tape id.
    Just a suggestion...
