Rhett, you and Rick are the reason I've picked up my guitar again. Your channel is so inspiring, witnessing your journey. You letting us peek behind the curtain of a professional recording and touring musician and imparting your knowledge. So insightful. So authentic. Thanks, man.
I’ve been binge watching all of your videos! Great content man. Very transparent and still inspiring/encouraging. You’re doing an amazing job! God bless.
Dude just discovered your channel thanks to Rick Beato. Amazing stuff. I’m a guitarist/keyboardist as well trying to do the music thing full time. Live about 45 min south of Chatt. Keep up the great work man.
@rhettshull you turned me on to Novo and I have been lusting for one ever since. Just finally got one and was super excited to be rewatching this and realize it was the sparkle green one in this video. Thanks man!
You're making it happen Rhett!!!!!! Props to you and continue being an example that nothing is impossible with focus, determination, and a clear set of goals. I'm transitioning to a full-time focus on VoiceOver and I can so relate to your insight on making your pursuit of a creative artistic career one of focus and diligence. On a Novo note, I had one ordered from Midwood Guitar Studio in Charlotte and I canceled it to buy a Collings acoustic. I absolutely love the Collings, but I think I need to revisit the Novo again. Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Great video, Rhett! I think a mindset like ‘there’s no plan b’ is the difference maker that you need to be successful - when you can’t see yourself doing anything else... that helps you through the lean and tough times otherwise the grind and stress becomes too much like a job you don’t enjoy instead of a passion you can’t live without.
After playing on and off for 30 years, and selling them for 10, I played a Novo at a local shop, and there is no substitute. Congrats on that one, and your career brother.
Rhett- your video on the novo serus j - inspired me to sell all my guitars and purchase one sight unseen. - incredible magical instrument, absolutely love it - worth every penny. Thanks for your videos.
Man I wish Novo was open to taking wood provided by the buyer. I’ve got some 125 year old 2x6 pine joists we had to cut out of our ceiling (unfortunately) with knots, lathe & construction nail holes, and even some old K&T holes. Could make for a storytelling instrument!
New subscriber from Alabama now living in Mississippi. Watched your whole backstage journal series over the past few days. Cool stuff. Documenting everything, especially on video definitely helps your craft and is also a good thing if you ever hit the "big time" and need to write your biography. Lol. Keep rockin'!!
I’ve stuck in Jacksonville for work an deep diving TH-cam videos of the channels I follow and saw this. I would love to hear more of your thoughts thinking back to this moment to where you are now. Thanks for the content from a Schmedium time sub 👍🏻
Man, I just came across Novo Serus. I got the impression u had picked it up in France or something. I’ve got to try one. That truck you were following could have been hailing a portion of a radio tower. They put up the first few sections with a crane and a helicopter drops on the rest.
Hey Rhett I just started watching your channel a few weeks ago and I really like the content man. I have sent your videos to lots of friends- I appreciate the time you put into it!
Rhett ive been watching and subscribed since i saw your morgan review ypur videos have been good and have gotten better keep pushing man i love the channel
Definitely some good advice, for myself a reminder to just keep going. It's all to easy to become disheartened when you're not seeing the financial results that you need. Having a well defined goal is crucial but not always easy to set. New novo looks awesome too ;)
Really cool guitars, I would love to give one a try but I doubt there are many west of the rockies! I appreciate that they try to do something totally different than you normally see today. I love the sea-foam green in particular!
i made a list of goals in a notebook , to meet every week,month,year..for a 5 year plan when i moved to Nashville.Met all my goals in 2 years. ahh history.
I can’t believe you have one with a jazz trem AND one with tele bridge. I gotta check one of those things out! Great vid. Appreciate what you do and wish you the best in your endeavors.
Great stuff, Rhett! Dang, now I want a Novo. They look incredible! 9-5 work hours is what it's all about and to add, using a timer for each task has been a huge help for me. Helps me to hit everything I need to do on a daily basis and not let one thing take over. Cheers!
Not in a bad way, but some part of me wants this channel to stay small, u know. It’s so nice to follow somebody that is SO inspiring and great to watch, but not everybody needs to know...u know?
Adding TH-cam to your life is great, but the time it takes must be daunting. Unlike RickB, this is not your full time gig. So how you find the time, to make videos that say something, the technical aspect of making them look good, requires time, skill, and dedication. I am sure your goal to do this in a professional manner, is just as important as your performing on stage, with a guitar in your hands. My hat is off to you. Keep the faith. It looks like you have actually added a "Plan B".
Thanks David! I’m am trying to make this sort of a full time thing, but it’s proving to be a lot tougher than I had originally thought. I don’t see this as adding a plan b however, I see it more as part of my plan A. If that makes any sense.
Hey Rhett. I'm betting because you want to do your relationship with your audience in a high professional way, you know it will take a lot more than just sitting with a camera and mic. But that's the way you do things, and the way you must do them to please yourself, your pride, your soul. I am also sure you have a grip on your life plan, that I can only assume. And, I really like the tone of your new ax. Keep on keeping on, stay true to yourself, and bless you man.
amazing how the green day guys never worked a normal job went from high school to a record deal you do really have to be young to start same thing goes with the beatles
This video is responsible for me buying this Serus T: i.imgur.com/OGAz8XR.jpg Great video man! Oh, and I also ordered an aged pearloid pickguard direct from Novo because it looks so great on yours.
Dude, I love your channel, but please stop filming while you're driving. That is dangerous AF. I cringe every time I see you do that. I know it makes for a cool video, but it's not worth the risk. Otherwise, keep up the awesome work!
‘Me and my wife are tryna buy a house’ well Rhett from 3 years ago congrats you just done it 🎉
Really interesting Rhett! Great topics and love the music in the video!
I realize it's pretty off topic but does anyone know of a good place to watch new series online?
Rhett, you and Rick are the reason I've picked up my guitar again. Your channel is so inspiring, witnessing your journey. You letting us peek behind the curtain of a professional recording and touring musician and imparting your knowledge. So insightful. So authentic. Thanks, man.

Thanks man! So happy you dig the channel!
Fascinating trip to Novo. Im from the UK and bought just about the first Sectis they made. Incredible guitar, total marriage of form and function.
Dude just discovered your channel thanks to Rick Beato. Amazing stuff. I’m a guitarist/keyboardist as well trying to do the music thing full time. Live about 45 min south of Chatt. Keep up the great work man.
Those guitars look awesome! Keep up the grind, Rhett! Thanks for sharing your experience

As I watch this, you’re over 80k subscribers. Keep up the good work, as an aspiring professional it’s been very helpful content.
Almost 200K now. Crazy to see his channel grow
Yes, that is boom section for a large crane and those are counterweights underneath it
That new Novo you just picked up sounds and looks amazing! Congrats!!!
So So good to see a video like this from such a cool guy and brother guitar nerd filmed right here in my neighborhood.
6:29 Holds up 4 fingers, "We have 5 guitars for them." I love this guy lol
After playing on and off for 30 years, and selling them for 10, I played a Novo at a local shop, and there is no substitute. Congrats on that one, and your career brother.
OMG the Pink Sparkle with the white p90's and binding on neck with block inlays .......im in love!!
Rhett- your video on the novo serus j - inspired me to sell all my guitars and purchase one sight unseen. - incredible magical instrument, absolutely love it - worth every penny. Thanks for your videos.

The fact you had David Crowder Band at the begging on your phone makes me like you that much more.
I’ve stuck in Jacksonville for work an deep diving TH-cam videos of the channels I follow and saw this. I would love to hear more of your thoughts thinking back to this moment to where you are now.

Hey Rhett I just started watching your channel a few weeks ago and I really like the content man. I have sent your videos to lots of friends- I appreciate the time you put into it!
Thanks for sharing!!
These Fano guitars are super nice! The body shape is reminiscent of a 50's Rickenbacker. Really attractive.
6lb 2 oz. Nice! Looks and sounds amazing to. What more can you ask of a guitar, really?
Love your channel man, like what you’re trying to do, and best of luck! Keep it up!
Rhett ive been watching and subscribed since i saw your morgan review ypur videos have been good and have gotten better keep pushing man i love the channel

You make really entertaining videos. I realized I've been binge watching all your videos for the past couple days. Keep up the good work
The Novo Logo is so similar to the Tom Anderson Guitars...but I wish I can have a Novo...... gorgeous guitars
Definitely some good advice, for myself a reminder to just keep going. It's all to easy to become disheartened when you're not seeing the financial results that you need. Having a well defined goal is crucial but not always easy to set. New novo looks awesome too ;)
"Trying to a buy house"... "Got to go pick up my new Novo". love it
Thanks for introducing me to your favorite guitar. Frist time I heard of these guys. Blessings.
Really cool guitars, I would love to give one a try but I doubt there are many west of the rockies! I appreciate that they try to do something totally different than you normally see today. I love the sea-foam green in particular!
Always a pleasure to watch these videos and always looking forward to the next.
Love that monologue at the end man👏👏
Why would anyone want that old style tele bridge? Any reason to give up on being able to have proper intonation?
"It's not an instant gratification game". That line jumped at me. Thanks.
Rhett, Do you ride if so what kind of bike do you have? I''ve raced off road/street since the 70s
i made a list of goals in a notebook , to meet every week,month,year..for a 5 year plan when i moved to Nashville.Met all my goals in 2 years. ahh history.
I can’t believe you have one with a jazz trem AND one with tele bridge. I gotta check one of those things out! Great vid. Appreciate what you do and wish you the best in your endeavors.
Thanks Sooby! I would definitely try to get your hands on a Novo, they’re amazing.
That emphatic neck-to-bridge move at 5:33 before it's even plugged in...
Took the plunge, placed order for my Serus J! Hopefully a St Paddy’s debut!
Would love one of those dude. Can understand you coming away with two Novo’s....
Great stuff, Rhett! Dang, now I want a Novo. They look incredible! 9-5 work hours is what it's all about and to add, using a timer for each task has been a huge help for me. Helps me to hit everything I need to do on a daily basis and not let one thing take over. Cheers!
The shape of these guitars reminds me of the Fender JagStang
Rhett how can I get Serus T?
Fantastic as always
I love your vids. Please keep them coming !
Really nice guitars. Your commentary is helpful too.
Nice playing, Rhett!
It's a piece of crane boom
Not in a bad way, but some part of me wants this channel to stay small, u know. It’s so nice to follow somebody that is SO inspiring and great to watch, but not everybody needs to know...u know?
Thanks for post, big fan of Novo guitars. Matthew eating crisps and Devon drinking coffee. Just like Instagram then ha ha!
1:10 I am interested in knowing the song used, because golly gosh was it absolutely cool.
Thanks Rhett

"It's not 10,000; It's not 100,000". It is now, Rhett.
The gps was funny but yoyr reaction killed! Lmao!
David Crowder is good stuff
you deserve more subscribers
7:30 "5th Novo" haha man, i dont have that kind of money lol
Dennis Fano casually in the background
Any one know what the music is at 1:10?
Yup part of a crane
Do they make basses?!!!
The truck is carrying a jib for a crane
I have the green sparkle T with the gold foils and come back to this video once a week to do the leo dicaprio point at it when it comes on screen
Great video, Rhett. I need some advice on buying a Novo guitar. Can I send you a message or e-mail? Thanks!
Sure man, head to my website and you can contact me through there.
www.rhettshull.com
One day, man, one day...
Honey I’m dropping another $4k on a guitar😜
So right now at 45k subs you are making around $15 an hr?
Nice video
If you know Kyle Ingram, tell him Kevin says " hi ."
wheeeeee Monteagle.....
You should make a new novo for 200k subs
FJ Cruiser?
Novo guitars look like they were build by a bloke in his shed out of reclaimed wood
I’m thinking selling my Mcarthy PRS to get the Serus S.
So was that Denis Fano?
In the background, yes.
OK, but not the dude you were dealing with. I would love to hear an interview/discussion with Mr Fano.
Im working on that!
I look forward to it :-)
Lucky dog
amazing how the green day guys never worked a normal job went from high school to a record deal you do really have to be young to start same thing goes with the beatles
Scaffolding!
Dude.
This video is responsible for me buying this Serus T: i.imgur.com/OGAz8XR.jpg
Great video man!
Oh, and I also ordered an aged pearloid pickguard direct from Novo because it looks so great on yours.
That Serus T is BADASS! Great choice!
Thanks! I don't think it's as light as yours, though.
I made sure to let them know, over at Novo, that you're responsible for the purchase!
These guitars appear to be "distressed".
Rknroll
Dude, I love your channel, but please stop filming while you're driving. That is dangerous AF. I cringe every time I see you do that. I know it makes for a cool video, but it's not worth the risk. Otherwise, keep up the awesome work!
Each to there own, but that’s an incredibly ugly guitar. Looks like it’s made out of an old table.
