This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This Core Concept video focuses on Martin Luther King Jr.'s sermon "Unfulfilled Hopes", and discusses the analysis he provides of three different characteristic responses to the tragic element of life, that dreams remain unrealized, hopes unfulfilled, and that cries for a solution go unanswered. Two of these responses, those of bitterness and withdrawal, are negative and motivated by anger and hate. The third response is that of creative and dynamic will.

Great video. My reaction to this was that someone used his philosophical inclinations and training to transcend 'philosophy' and tell a meaningful story about life. If you're going to be producing more videos like this, count me in.
I've already produced many videos like that one
Thank you for this, prof. Sadler.
