In 2016, this man was my US Government professor. I am not exaggerating when I say he changed my life within the tiny scope of that class. One of, if not the greatest lecturer I’ve ever listened to. It’s wild I got to learn from him at Austin Community College and now here he is, blowing up online. He deserves it.

Sins slow our spiritual progression and ultimately stop it. Repentance makes it possible for us to grow and develop spiritually again. The bare minimum that God requires is to live a repentant life. The privilege of repenting is made possible through the Atonement of Jesus Christ/ So both Belief in Jesus as God and Repentance are needed. See 1 Corinthians 6:9 Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

@@mranderson1635 This is very important Look ill share something personal. I’ve personally seen Jesus (Not worthy), Heaven and Hell. Hell is worse than what you think (I was shaking after that experience), and Heaven is better than what you think. I have also received a personal healing miracle, I can go into details if you want. This is how God works. If you give Him the benefit of the doubt, He gives you more and more. Would I spend even 2 minutes preaching if I had an ounce of doubt? (I’ve experienced way too much)

@@irvinaduda9527 I have some underlying health issues which can lead to premature death, so I heard about fasting can help fix many issues so I decided to give it a go by dry fasting (no food or water) I could only do it for 1-2 days a week without feeling too weak, but a few months in my heart started racing and it let weaker and weaker. When I would eat something unhealthy it would race hard. One night it was racing hard and a tall figure in white appeared and was praying towards the picture of Jesus in my room, he said something like “please don’t let him die from a heart attack”, then soon after he disappeared and I heard the audible voice of God tell me some stuff then that voice stopped then I felt my body being lifted and life being pumped back into my heart and I was healed thank God, Jesus is God and He is very loving and a miracle worker.

Well that's a romantic view, i'm not familiar with arab/muslim views of their history but i would venture to say that it also has romantic elements to it. For example I would think that the conquering of Byzantium is hailed as a great achievement by islam but I think that's also wrong. It did wipe out a civilization after all.

Hell is worse than what you think (I was shaking after that experience), and Heaven is better than what you think. I have also received a personal healing miracle, I can go into details if you want. He reminds me of my Latin teacher in highschool, who originally was also an archeologist. He had the most fantastic historical stories and insights we loved listening to. He would wander on and on until the end of class. We loved every minute of it ❤

Best person to listen history from. And he suddenly mentioned my favourite book on Earth, "Crusades Through Arab's Eyes" by Amin Maalouf. That was a shock in a good way. Listen to him in other videos, like the classic one about Khalid bin Valid.

WHAT IS HE MEANING OF LIFE?
To have a relationship with God on earth so you can spend eternity together in Heaven. So, what pushes me away from God? Sin (lying, unforgiveness, sexual sins from lust, dishonouring parents, steeling, taking the Lord’s Name in vain etc) which leads to hell. But Jesus died on the Cross and rose from the dead to give you the ability to repent and Believe in Him as your Lord and Saviour to go to Heaven.

Idk to be honest he seems often quite inaccurate historically. He is maybe a good political scientist but not a good historian. Let alone he described an obvious Greek word as an Arab one in one of his lectures. Shouldn’t happen or at least he should specify why he thinks it is rather an Arab word, although it is classified as Greek origin.
I truly appreciate his lecture as well. Check out Ian Morris and his talks on history, equally as fascinating.

People often say, “I’m not hurting anyone so it’s ok to sin (lying, stealing, sexual sins, disrespecting parents etc)” The same God who said to love your neighbour first said to love Him to the best of your ability. If you carry on sinning, then you do not love God but are selfish like the devil so you will be joined to your father in hell or repent of your sins and believe in Jesus as God so Jesus adopts you as His child and you will join Him in Heaven forever.

@@slowmotion3542 Repentance is the way provided for us to become free from our sins and receive forgiveness for them (WE ARE NOT FORGIVEN UNLESS WE REPENT). Sins slow our spiritual progression and ultimately stop it. Repentance makes it possible for us to grow and develop spiritually again.
The bare minimum that God requires is to live a repentant life. The privilege of repenting is made possible through the Atonement of Jesus Christ/ So both Belief in Jesus as God and Repentance are needed. See 1 Corinthians 6:9

I have discovered these lectures recently and they way dr. tells the history is better than 99% of any best documentaries. I guess it's so interesting because he also explains what's between the lines.

Dr. Cassandra's lectures are like a black hole, once you fall into it you can never get out. I feel so lucky to be his student. He widened my vision a lot. Even if you already know and never noticed, he offers you lots of surprising perspectives to see different pictures of a point. He is really amazing. Actually, he rewrites the history . In fact, He is Heredotus of the modern era.

@@irvinaduda9527 I have some underlying health issues which can lead to premature death, so I heard about fasting can help fix many issues so I decided to give it a go by dry fasting (no food or water) I could only do it for 1-2 days a week without feeling too weak, but a few months in my heart started racing and it let weaker and weaker. When I would eat something unhealthy it would race hard.
One night it was racing hard and a tall figure in white appeared and was praying towards the picture of Jesus in my room, he said something like “please don’t let him die from a heart attack”, then soon after he disappeared and I heard the audible voice of God tell me some stuff then that voice stopped then I felt my body being lifted and life being pumped back into my heart and I was healed thank God, Jesus is God and He is very loving and a miracle worker.

JESUS IS PROPHET OR GOD?
People see miracles, signs and wonders and assumed Jesus to be simply a prophet. People assume things all the time, but they can be wrong. If someone sees you hang out with smokers and assumes you smoke and tells everyone, yet you don’t smoke. People get things wrong all the time but being wrong on Jesus divinity is a BIG mistake that shouldn’t be made.
Jesus claimed to be ONE with the Father, so he claimed to be God hence the crucifixion but He also rose from the dead defeating death, I follow the living not the dead.
Matthew 16: 13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

Same! This is the first unbiased teaching I have come across on the subject and fills in alot of gaps and questions I had.
Well that's a romantic view, i'm not familiar with arab/muslim views of their history but i would venture to say that it also has romantic elements to it. For example I would think that the conquering of Byzantium is hailed as a great achievement by islam but I think that's also wrong. It did wipe out a civilization after all.

Oh hey Roy, I bought The Crusades through Arab Eyes by Amin Maalouf. I mean move over LoTR, GoT! The book is an absolute barnstormer and fascinating and I feel like I am learning an entirely new history but completely relevant and the parallels with what is happening in Jerusalem today! Look ill share something personal. I’ve personally seen Jesus (Not worthy), Heaven and Hell. Hell is worse than what you think (I was shaking after that experience), and Heaven is better than what you think. I have also received a personal healing miracle, I can go into details if you want. This is how God works. If you give Him the benefit of the doubt, He gives you more and more. Would I spend even 2 minutes preaching if I had an ounce of doubt? (I’ve experienced way too much)
