Blue tongues eat the snakes young and while not totally resistant to venom they can and do take a lot.The Brown's small fangs and head would make this battle pretty even.See how the snake was hesitant when old blue was face on?
No, the Western Brown is very similar to his eastern brothers, whereas the King Brown/ Mulga, is a member of the black snake family, and would probably dine on other browns if given the chance...
I have 4 king skinks 300 plus long and 2 1500 long race horse goannas and their 4 young ones about 400 long and a 3 meter python at my property in hills. Lots of wildlife and swamp and few snakes which im glad off. I feed all the lizards.

Aaron K Please don't go around killing snakes. Its so unfortunate when someone dies while trying to kill the snake. After all that is when over 50% of deaths occur. Yes they are venomous. The venom isn't actually that toxic. Its just produced in very large amounts. It is considered dangerously venomous and is responsible for around 2 deaths in the past 100 years.
Typical Black Snake.... bite and hold on and then pump the venom. Too many people believe the "King Brown" is of the Brown snake outfit because of its colour; which it isn't. That is why this blokes name was changed some 20 years ago to the Mulga. Very good movie just the same
Ian Watts yep. The name was changed to mulga because a guy died from the species. He was struck on the hand while lifting a piece of tin. He sought after medical attention but unfortunately he said it was a "brown snake". Little did he know mulga's are actually a black snake (psedoechis) and not a brown snake (psedonaja) he was given brown snake anti venom and died 20 hours latter. This led to the name change from king brown to mulga and also led to papaun black snake antivenom being used to treat mulga snake bites.
