Ok but what if they very slightly changed Vel'koz?
His Q could be a sphere (2 charges) that rapidly casts on your cursor for high damage
His W could pick up that sphere, to throw it at enemies to slow them
His E could be a knockback that also displaces spheres, stunning enemies if they get hit by them
His ult could just launch all the spheres at an enemy for massive damage.
I think that would make him MUCH easier to play honestly
Also u can get ult stacking passive and after getting certain ammount of stacks ur ult should execute , that also would be good change
make him look like an anime girl as well, that way he would be more popular and get more buffs

His W could make the spere instantly deal AOE damage and slow targets and give speed to everyone
His E could be a shield that also displaces sphere to you, also dealing damage if they get hit by them
His ult could just launch all the peoples into the sphere for massive damage and aoe displacement

Playing Vel'Koz is like playing a lefty guitar while being a righty, and playing an odd time signature, while being upside down and underwater - all that with an alternate tuning.
As both a musician and a Vel'Koz main, I'd play Vel'Koz over any of these things alone all day 😅

5:25 Exactly, I truly believe Yone is insane I legit wait for someone to teach me his flaws. You can outplay Yone as much as you want literally sidestep his Q and shit and yet you still get plastered when he E and beats you repeatedly with his sharp stick, impossible to outrade in E and you cannot avoid trading since it dashes the full length of the lane when he has E Q3.
Happens to me on champs like Taliyah who is supposed to counter him and still gets the stick regardless of any stuns and W hits.
"Just respect Q3" sure but in the end he decides everything like hes a tinder hot girl.
Surely sometimes you get some ruthless poke in land everything and space perfectly but 99% of the time if you dare hit him he empties his kit and flattens your healthbar

You either go dark harvest or comet on vel'koz, for first item recomended Imperian. got S+ 2 times in a row support role with teleport combo use W to apply passive than use Q for max demage and/or E for stun or R to finish it of also dont use R untill u apply pasive on enemy or it wont deal any demage, with passive R masive demage. U can deal from 600/700 all the way up to 800 demage if passiwe applied on Q with dark harvest and some items well good luck

It's like he says, to land those skills shots you need to position yourself in a way that makes it easier to hit the enemy. If you are against melee champs you can make them chase you and put skills shots in their path towards you. By zoning them you can make their path predictable and trap them in the angle of the Q. W is easier to hit through minions, so you can use it to stack the passive and bait them to jump on you to land the Q point blank and proc the passive at the same time, dealing massive damage. The E should be used either defensively close to you or when you are sure they can't evade it anymore.
vel'koz is fine. just give ori and syndra real mana costs so they cant play urf from lvl 1
I wonder if the short ranged sub second knock up long delay long cooldown has something to do with it.
About building Rylai's on Vel'Koz it's true you don't get as much value as other champs but I think it's still worth it for the additional bulk and the fact that your W is the easiest to land so you can apply the slow more effectively. It also synergizes well with the ult. Plus if you have Liandry's it extends the duration.
litherally everyone hates playing into yone but hes meta in to lanes. zed is held weakish because everyone hates to play against him. why not nerf the fucking yone w at least
Has he talked about Zoe before? I feel like some of these concepts definitely apply to her Paddle Star (Q) as well, but somehow I feel he will say she is easy to play lol
Zoe is super fucking hard to play because she's so unconventional. Sure, her basic (and most toxic) combo is simple to do, but going about everything (laning, positioning in team fights) is different to other mages
Playing Vel'Koz is like using a glass cannon. You can easily destroy your enemies but you can also easily get destroyed. More often than not you can't carry because you can make 100 good plays but just one bad play and it's over. So when you play this champ make sure you have reliable teammates and at least one good front liner that can take the aggro off of you.
I feel like velkoz as a champ is just obsolete.. is there anything he can do better than other champs (aka is he ever best in slot)?
would you ever pick velkoz over Syndra? all his power is in his q which you need to be surgical to hit especially during laning - his w does next to nothing for you - he is super immobile (Syndra knock-back is far superior to e and buys space easier aka can't be jumped as easy, her poke lands easier, she scales better, executes just as well)..velkoz is almost like Morgana where all the power centres around her relatively slow moving hard to hit q that can't pass through minions
its like whenever I want to go Morgana, I can just go lux instead - bind can travel through minions, higher damage output, better range
when I want to go velkoz, I can just go syndra instead
there is just no slot in which velkoz would be a better pick as a control mage, hence he is obsolete - imagine how much better you have to execute on that champ to achieve the same result
@@johnkirk1772 Well first of all he does true damage from the start of the game which no other pure mage can do except Ahri on her Q return. So he has higher damage potential early because a good chunk of his damage ignores magic resist. Second, his ult converts into true damage if you proc his passive, which simply melts tanks with high resistances like butter. Third, the Q may take precision to land but it’s unique in many ways. It splits into 2 at an angle and when it does so it disappears momentarily. So you can hit around targets, corner an opponent between the angle and terrain and add delay to have the right timing. Once I even managed to hit Yasuo through his wind wall by timing the split when it was almost on top of it by accident. So in short he has his strong points, though I agree his kit and scaling are lackluster compared to the recently released champions with crazy damage and mobility and overloaded kits.

I get the point of Nemesis but he himself chose to play Vel'Koz into Yone. It's like picking Malphite into Sylas and saying that Malphite suck (ofc it's not that extream but still)
Even then he did very well in lane plus got fed and Yone was still able to win the game by facerolling his keyboard in side lane as per usual

It's honestly not that bad, I mean, if you are not in lane with sylas its bad bc he can use your ult to gain advantage in lane, but I have played malphite vs sylas in top and you can actually outplay him most of the time.
Yes and then he also didn't use his advantages by deciding not to back a couple of times when he had tp ready, forcing him to take fights with item and hp disadvantage. Could have gone way better for him.

We dont talk too much about the mistakes of high level players, they know what they do wrong when they look at their vods the next day, and we can all tell that theyve made a mistake cause we are addicted to the content

Vel koz is bad in mid, but if hes the enemy supp, hes the biggest demon out there, with the most braindead ult.
*disclaimer* unless his enemy supp is Xerath, then you cry cz his excessively long range bs is easier to land than Vel. Other than the ult, but if you're close enough to land Vel ult on Xerath he's likely close enough to interrupt it

It's kinda wierd for me that many people say Vel'koz Q is hard to land. For me it's a lot easier than landing Yasuo Q. Most player have no clue how to dodge it if Vel'koz player use it properly.
Yasuo's Q and some other spells go through minions and champs. So if your target is behind you can still hit it. While with vel'koz you have to avoid the things between you and your target. That's the pleasure of playing vel'koz but it does make it harder to hit the target consistently
