Always great my man❤️👊 the best days I’ve ever had were following you guys around, I quit jobs missed school, broke up with girlfriends or dumped me lol! True friend! Ty for all the great music and times.
Thank you, Alain. I remember seeing you and Morrissey play this one live in '00 at the Roseland in NYC. A beautiful piece of work. Again, my gratitude for making this.
I never ever understood why this was "just" a b-side, and not even on the album. The absolute best song from that period. I guess Moz kept the habit from the Smiths days to put gems on the b-side of the singles. Just an incredibly well written song. And one of Mozzers best vocals ever.
This was one of my favorite songs. And did you mean Spencer corbin? I swear the four of you were the greatest band not only Morrissey has ever had but ANY singer ever had.... and Vauxhall and I is a beautiful work of art as a result The way you made those guitar sound is right up there with my favorite twin-guitar attacks ever of all time.
So glad you’re doing your videos again!! Wonderful song and playing. You have that thing, like JM, to write and play with pure feeling and emotion. Corny as it is, you wrote most of the soundtrack to my life. Can’t wait to hear you in person again. Thank you! 🙏
Glad you've started doing these videos again. You're one of the greats. I remember it was getting late, I was on a small beach in Greece, the place where I just had dinner was behind me. The moon was rising. I took my shoes off and listened to the studio version of this. As I stepped into the lapping water, Lost ended then Wide to Receive came on. Nothing in my life was right but that moment.
I have listened to this, like, 11 times in succession and it's just lovely and you sound brilliant. Thank you so much for taking the time to record and post this. ❤
Here in Brazil, it was quite complicated to have access to the artists' singles. So, when you got it and the songs were great, it felt like a gold mine, something invaluable for a fan. "Lost" is one of those songs you can't get enough of, and it's on an extraordinary single (Roy's Keen). I love this song. It's one of his wonderful compositions with Morrissey. Congratulations. 👏👏👏👏
Goosebumbs.... Thanks a lot Alain to name full speed on the drums Spencer. ... got friends who didn't survive in the jungle for hard goodies/poison, I got out. Whyteside Forever.
Absolutely brilliant yet again Alain ❤ really can't wait to see you in Belfast - having to travel up from Dublin as I'm out of the country for the Whelan's gig!
Can you tell us the history of this brilliant song? What did Spencer's demo sound like? How often did he give songs to Morrissey? Did Spencer play any the guitar on the recording? I'm just curious how the whole thing came together. This song was an instant 10/10 after one listen. P.S. I was so happy to get to see you in Vegas and Boston last year.
Now that I listen to strumming, I'm thinking that must have been you playing the guitar on that live version of Tiny Dancer. No mistaking that style you have. Although I am a guitarist for a living so I would totally nerd out on that :-)
Maladjusted b-sides are great. I was lucky to find Rare tracks (released in Japan) from my local record store in Helsinki. Having all 6 b-sides. Maladjusted re-issue with these tunes are better version of Maladjusted in my opinion. I remember Alain said long time ago, Edges are no longer....is his best tune and indeed, it should have been A side.
All these deep cuts from Malajusted and Southpaw - mind blowing. ❤🎸
Cant believe this gem of a song was only a B-Side should have made it on the main album
Always great my man❤️👊 the best days I’ve ever had were following you guys around, I quit jobs missed school, broke up with girlfriends or dumped me lol! True friend! Ty for all the great music and times.
Really need all this songs in a show in Mexico! 🇲🇽😩 The best line up ever! 🎸🎶
