Gaz, Boz, Spencer and you are an important part of the history of music, playing with a great like Morrissey. This is a deserved tribute to Mick Ronson.
I was lucky enough to see you play at a show in Dallas at Reunion Arena back in the early 90s. Stayed up late to catch y'all on Carson. Like the previous poster mention , Your Arsenal was outstanding.
Brilliant. I love this song. i also loved the video. You all looked so cool prowling behind Morrissey through the back streets of, I think, Paris. Love your acoustic versions.
This was the song in 92 that made me abandon everything else I was listening to. The video was so cool , the band looked awesome. I wanted to look just like that. I think you guys may have ruined my life...lol
Your Arsenal and Vauxhall & I, back to back masterpieces you partake in. That album is amazing thanks to Rono's touch. Moz tried to go back to that sound in Southpaw Grammar, but didn't quite got there. The way Mick understood the power of the electric guitar was unparalleled. RIP, Mick Ronson.
Great acoustic guitar cover of one of my favorite Moz songs! I always felt this song was Ronson’s tribute to his own playing on Bowie’s Rock n Roll Suicide
this album "your arsenal" was my initation to english rock music ! i still listen to it since 1993, well i was 16 then, imagine how such a music can "collapse" and touch an adolescent mind and heart. your compositions are still for me such good music ! thanks for this share and hope to see you on stage one day. But now that i can play it such a pure way, without studio and distorion effects, this song will be heard in European streets ! Fred from France
Happy belated birthday Mick. I forgot that he worked with you guys on Arsenal. Thanks for the nice words about him Alain. Your songwriting skills shined on that album~ Rob/Boston
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. The whole of YA has a fabulous feel to it and this closer is just amazing. Evokes great memories from '92 and is still a gorgeous song.
Listening to your arsenal yesterday for the first time in years n always what's out in front ? This dude what a perfect pair Moz n Alan Whyte made. His sound is trademark distinctive. Not getting his props imo
Dear mr. Whyte. I just saw you on Jonesy (Steve Jones' radio program) and although a Morrissey fan since 86, apparently I didn't really understand your impact on his career. I do now. Obviously I went to spotify to listen to your ep's and basically I just wanna give you the thumbs up.... What a rant, but I'm sure you get it.... Cheers mate!
It's almost 2 in the night here in Italy and I've just stumbled on your solo version of one of my favourite Morrissey songs ever. I don't know if it's because I'm particularly emotional nowadays, but I had to hold back my tears. It's true: your partnership with Moz has been unique. Even the b-sides written by you, Moz and Boz are incredible. Thank you for this beautiful tribute to Mick Ronson. I really wish you could join Moz once again in the near future. These songs saved my life.
alain you are a great musician. I'm glad you're working with Morrissey again, I hope you can write together again. out of curiosity what tunings do you use on your guitars?
Alain, I've always loved your chord progressions. The way you arpeggiate your chords has been a big influence on my own songwriting. Did you also write the vocal melodies for the tunes? Or, did Morrissey compose the melodies over your musical arrangements? I've always been curious to know the process of how you and Morrissey collaborated.
maked me cry brother thanks :) yes his work with Bowie was incredible also and got me into music, your home videos have been an incredible UPLIFTMENT for us all Im sure, LEGEND!! HUGE love from the wild rainforests of south west Australia!
Alain congratulations for your brilliant work. Believe me, It wont be missed by time, Its eternal. Excuse me of my question is stupid, but how you achieve this clean and brilliant sound of voice and guitar ar video ( acoustic ambient??)
Trying to learn this watching pausing almost have it- not quite yet😀 beautiful song ,love this video best dressed lad you are ! just love the shirt👍 hope you still have it?
Alain, thank you for posting this. I love Your Arsenal and especially this song. I’m hearing guitar bits I’ve never noticed. Your playing is so beautiful and captures such emotion. It’s a lovely tribute to the great Mick Ronson.
Mi tema favorito del your arsenal, siempre entro a TH-cam a ver el vídeo, la versión de estudio me da una mezcla de melancolía y fuerza con el sonido de la guitarra electrica de Alain, está versión acústica es única..
These renditions are great. Also, not sure who picks the order of songs on the album but "Seasick, yet still docked" to "I know it's gonna happen" to "Tomorrow" is such an exquisite transition.
Thank you so much for making these clips and giving us a vocal that is true to the style without being a replica, makes for a good cover. I've always wanted to play this and could never find a good tabbed version. Your version here gives me some hope I can figure it out, especially with endless hours at home. (Please, keep that fret board in the shot for us playing along at home.)
Tomorrow is criminally underrated by Morrissey. Only performed 33 times on the Your Arsenal tour and 100 times in the 22 years since then
I love the Your Arsenal album and era - such a lovely tribute to Mick Ronson. This is an album you all created that stays in hearts forever 💞
I never knew Morrissey until 2015 when I chanced upon him and The Smiths on TH-cam. Since then he just grew on me and I admired your work with him.
Incredibly brilliant version of this song by the co-writer. Will always love your input in Morrissey's work, Alain.

It was directed by Zack Snyder, I think, which put me in a shock when I discovered that fact.
@@shtan5583 Indeed, it's the best thing he ever has directed.
Me too!

Dalmo Chequer just a little eq and a sprinkle of delay here and there but other than that it is how it sounds
I can still remember when I first heard this, I had to travel miles to the record store to get it. Such brilliant talent. Thank you
He worked with some of the greatest musicians and you're right up there. Touching tribute of a great composition.
