I went on the Saturday as forecast the better day out the two for the weekend. Luckily they got it wrong as wasn't as wet on the Saturday as they said it would be. You're not kidding about the lack of people out and about, a bonus for you indeed :)
Saturday I went to the Watercress Line for the Spring Steam Gala where it was fine for most part of the day. Not see watch videos from the previoud 2 days to see if numbers were up the rest of the weekend. Certainly no issues with the rain trying to avoid getting others in shot or walking in to someone elses.
