My high school played this every year at graduation and still does. Even now almost 20 years later, I still love this piece. I played 1st Clarinet. Best wishes to all of you!!
Wow, I listen to this and it takes me back when I used to play this piece during the period of time of 1999- 2004 with the Juana Diaz High School Band from Puerto Rico. It's so nostalgic and it was definitely one of the best pieces played in such an extraordinary and marvelous way. I played the Alto Sax, was first chair and leader of that section.
I played this about three years ago when I was a junior in high school. This song oddly made me cry. It just made me super emotional. I was a flautist (Flute player for those of you who don't know the term) when I was in high school, and it just really touched me, and still does to this day. I believe I commented on this back when I was in high school.
My high school band director, a brilliant musician..graduate of St.Olaf and the Vandercook School of Music..repeatedly said during rehearsals " There is nothing like a beautiful melody" and that is exactly why this piece is so compelling !
Played this song in my Spiring Concert last year. Used to be 2nd, now is 1st. Beautiful, beautiful song. I'm glad that the clarinets have a song about them, since most of the songs out there show flutes or trumpets as the lead. Clarinets

I haven't played my clarinet in over 30 years and enjoyed practicing with your video. I'm playing this piece in the Alumni Band of my high school. I'm a nurse at my old school and can't wait to play. Thank you so much! : )
There's only two alto saxophones, and two trumpets in our band. Like I said before, I play alto one, and I sit next to the trumpet one. (wierd arrangement, I know) but what the arrangement achieves, is this great harmony between the two instruments. Sounds great. I love this song!!!!
I play this on friday for issma. First flute baby! Wow. We need to work. Were like only half this good. But were only in 8th grade. Perfect blend in the instrements!
