      How does the pro feel? Is it like a sticky rubber? Or smooth but grippy like a silicone handle on a spatula or something?

    • @SlickVega
      @SlickVega ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tonytiger2450 It's hard to describe, not "sticky" but definitely grippy. Not smooth, but kind of soft and grippy. Really great for getting a good hold if the gun has blood/sweat/water all over it. Only down side is after a year or so it starts to wear off in high-contact spots

    I have carried my Glock 17 with granulated talon grips and a few small strategically placed pieces of my 12 year old son's skateboard grip tape on duty for years. I've tried the rubber and pro on other Glocks I own and I think the granulated grips are by far the best. You just need to rub some of the granulate off so they arent as abrasive.

    In theory we should find watching you fit aTalon grip to another pistol boring..but I find it strangely (disturbingly?) soothing! Bedtime stories for guys with gun issues!! Nice work!

    Can you do a video sometime on removal of a talon grip? I've always been curious of how much residue would be left behind and how hard it would be to remove the residue. It would make me feel better about using more talon grips on handguns I have. I currently only have them on my Walther PPQ.

    Regarding the bubble. You took care of it without issues, so I guess if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, but I think you could make poke little hole and reheat rather than peel up after heating and compromise the integrity of that first adhere. Although idk how good the adhesive is on these bad boys so maybe idk what the hell I’m talking about and NOT puncturing holes in your new talon grip is the way to go lol.

    hi Justine, I just went and purchased a Glock 17 gen 5 with factory night sights for $649 and? the lower front part of the frame matches the rounded edges of the slide!!! YES, I couldn't believe it I ask the dealer was this customized? he said no he just got 3 of them in this week and that Glock has corrected that issue with the frame not matching the slide on the 17s and 19s because of the complaints they were getting I suppose? -it was the very reason I bought it and really wasn't planning on a gen 5 til I saw this issue corrected and I believe this will be a big selling point for the gen 5s now but I am still seeing a lot of the gens 5s in stores where the frame does not match the slide

      Not really a "tacky" feel - just the natural friction of a rubber surface. The good thing is that it stays that way. I've had some on for years that still feel the same.

    Just put the rubber grip on a G43. From unpacking to the female hair dryer, 5 min. Heated it up to the point of being very hot to the touch. Had air bubble just under trigger area. Instead of peeling it back. I used a sharp scissor point, small safety pin will do too. Poke it and push out the air. Vala, no more bubble.
    For those of you that don't have a female in your life. Use a fish hook. I kid, I kid.

    You don't pay for the Talon grip. Does that mean that they are a sponsor and the reason why you put these on so many guns ?

    • @JustinOpinionChannel
      @JustinOpinionChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      It's kind of a chicken and egg question. I've used Talon grips for years, and I love them. The folks at Talon grew to appreciate that I was giving their products some attention, as more people started to watch. At some point, I requested a discount code so that my viewers could save a few bucks - which they gladly provided. I still kept purchasing most of the grips I use until they scolded me and said "quit buying them, we'll send them to you". Every little bit helps with expenses, so I am okay with that. I try to be diligent in telling viewers they were provided by Talon just in case you think my opinion is for sale. So, sort of a pseudo-sponsor, I guess. Hope that answers that part. The reason I put them on so many guns is because I prefer a polymer pistol with a Talon over one without, almost all the time. There are some exceptions - I think the M&P 2.0 is fine without one, as is the Honor Guard. I've had the pleasure of meeting some of the folks at Talon, and they are great people running an honest company that was founded on (at the time) a unique idea to improve polymer pistol grips inexpensively. I like that a lot, and so I am pre-disposed to show them lots of love.

    Talon web page is pretty basic. So what is the grip texture on this gun? They have three you can select, and moss is a color, so there is rubber and sandpaper. Which is this?

    • @JustinOpinionChannel
      @JustinOpinionChannel  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      These are the black rubberized - my personal favorite. I sometimes use the granulate (sandpaper) for a dedicated range or match gun. The Moss as you observed, is just a color variation of the rubberized.
