@@ResidentNotEvil5 there are battery operated individual smoke alarms selling that is not connected to anything. It just alarms when there is smoke. People can turn it off manually.
But must have the knowledge of how to using too. And rescue children and elderly out of dangerous first. Before scdf firefighters and Singapore police officers arrival in few minutes
You know... ... Town Council PURPOSELY moves burners into fire hazard zone with tons of inflammables around, and in space where any burning pieces can reach flats several floors up... ... I have seen such pieces on corridors still burning over the years. You tell Town Council they say you are arrogant and no common sense... ... Then SCDF saying prevention is with Town Council, and Town Council is like hiding away in some caves taking pay every month nia... ... In Singapore, we even have one block directly exposed to like 13~14 burners within a block's distance! Tell me this sort of things... ... and deaths won't happen? Go to MP, MP and CC and folks all quiet quiet nothing done, but move in more burners instead. Walk around Singapore, look at all those burners... ... some are even burning toxic garbage people conveniently throw into them, and the utility of burners are so low you don't really need so many. But you report, they are rude, and they purposely lock the burner in fire hazard zone and increase burner numbers to the block. You can expect those folks sleeping, suddenly start burning... ... cos a spark flew into the home and... ... that's about it.

MP please ask HDB officers too install fire extinguisher at the AED equipment there. See the resident's already helping the house owner's to opening the door but because of the smoking he is not scdf firefighters can not anyhow going in the house to rescue them. If got fire extinguisher at HDB lift 🛗 area there. Neighbour actually can helping one anothers
Louvre windows and aluminum grilles can be broken with a strong chair and people trapped in the room can still escape. From the video clip, the grilles looked like it's made of wrought iron.

very very sad and tragic,these home fires, terrible way to die...i think people studying engineering or technology should put a priority on finding an invention like an emergency system to help stop fires from causing such destruction.
