  • In this Uk travel episode I take you to Little Moreton Hall, an extremely rare survival from the Tudor period. This half timbered moated manor house has charm and character in abundance. Come take a glimpse inside the hall before we head to Mow Cop Castle and have a walk around home.

Wow, I came here from Nicki Positano video recommendation. Like Italy, Great Britain is my other great love. I can never understand how someone can leave that part of the world. You just validated my thoughts.
This video was excellently articulated and professionally presented. 🤩😍.
Thank you for the wonderful tour of that magnificent estate house. I'm glad it's still taken care of. 👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌

Thank you so very much for subscribing to our channel - the support means to much! I absolutely love places rich in history so Italy is very high up on the list of places I can't get enough of. We've visited Rome countless times as well as Puglia and the Amalfi Coast but that still hasn't even scratched the surface of what I want to explore in Italy. We're lucky to have such a wealth of history here in the UK and in such density. I can't wait to share more of it here on this channel 😊 Have a wonderful week ahead.

Little Moreton Hall's upper gallery was featured in scenes of 1986 film "Lady Jane" featuring new stars Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Jane Grey and Cary Elwes as her husband Guilford Dudley. The gallery is a stunning piece of Tudor history and was used for scenes with Jane being whipped by her mother and a visit from Mary who would be queen. 👸 Unforgettable photography of the gallery.

Easily my fave period for manor houses; you can keep your Chatsworths and Highcleres... I'll take these wonky Tudor fellows. I prefer them in their natural/biscuity colourways, but there's just something about the oak beams and wonky panels... love it. Thank you for this lovely little walk!

I say, jolly well done indeed. I was raised in Cheshire, and my father, being an historian, dragged the family around various places of historic interest, including Little Moreton Hall. After I achieved my own degree in Early Medieval History at Oxford, I revisited the Hall on several occasions, and now, in my senior years, and living far away, it is an absolute delight to walk around this rare survivor once again, albeit virtually.
Thank you ever so much for uploading this delightful video - stunning in every way :)

Thank you so much for a charming detailed 'slow' tour of this Tudor masterpiece! I love all of the nooks and crannies, and while there is a lot of glass for the period, I note that the individual pieces are quite small. The 'Sphere of Destiny', not the 'spear'...so funny. The creative spelling of the day is always entertaining. Such an enjoyable autumn day, as I start August here in California. See you again soon!

I am an American who has never been to Italy or England so I enjoy seeing and learning about the natural beauty and history in Europe. I certainly didn't know anything about the Moretons. Lovely look into Tudor building...really enjoyed being transported! Anyone know the piece of music used? Dreamy!

Little Moreton is such a fascinating place! I’m returning again over the next few weeks to film an episode for vlogmas when it’s all decked out 😍🎄✨ I used quite a lot of different pieces of music for this episode, which one did you mean? The one at the start?

Who owns this house? I think I saw an episode of Ghost Adventures done here.
