I’m so glad that your first ever campaign went great. You’re so right that a good group, with matching schedules, is hard to find. That’s one thing that hasn’t changed since I first started playing, in 1977. If your DM decides he needs more time to flesh out his homebrew, and your group wants to keep going, there are actually published modules that carry the story from Lost Mine further. Look into it. May the dice smile upon all of your endeavors. 🤠👍💕
@@pavelZhd well ACKSHUALLY, 1 CR is around enough for a party of 4 party members, so, CR multiplied by 4 is the actual level. So, technically, a 1/4 CR goblin is level 1, since level =/= CR, or else a level 6 barbarian is strong enough to kill a level 6, four member party.
Kelsey: "Half-elf boy named Lyre" *looks at my half-elf bard/cleric named Lyre* "I didn't know you had adventures before showing up in my brain. You little divine scamp, you"
In my opinion Kelsey, I like the fact that you gave your Teifling character a long backstory. It shows how much work/dedication you put into her. I'd love to see her in action!
what's even cooler to me is that the entire story isn't a grand adventure, it still feels like the first chapter, like "yea, I can see them doing all that at level 1"
I'm hoping to use my own paladin character sometime when I do finally play D&D! Okay, So: Phyria (pronounced "Peer-ria, like Phyricc Victory or Pie-ria if you prefer) is an orphan who was taken in by the Church of the Holy Light. (Or whatever Paladin order you can think of) pretty basic, her parents were killed/murdered and she was raised by the head priest and she was ordained with all the other acolytes. But she was different. Although she was pious and respected the teachings and worshipped their god, she always wanted more. She was always altruistic, studious, thoughtful and quiet. But fiercely protective of her brothers and sisters. Like that time the temple was attacked by wolves. Even though she was young, she showed promise and was placed into the elite ranks of the Paladins. She excelled at martial skill and the Holy Light, until finally it was time. Time for her to leave and protect the weak from evil. And that's all I've got so far. But I'd like to play with the Paladin tropes and make her have a good sense of humour too. Laid back, not stuffy and religious all the time. World wise and intelligent. Hoping to utilise her soon!
My character is a teenage Orc named Ragor Leafborn, who was born as the world's first and ONLY Orc capable of using magic. Because of that, he was ostracised by his own people, even his parents, and got banished from the Orc village for being *Non-Orc like.* Thankfully, he was saved and raised by a kind and powerful wizard, who taught him everything he knows about magic. Now, Ragor is the world's first Orc wizard and hopes to aspire future Orcs to make different lives too.
As a huge Fantasy fan and DnD enthusiast, as well as a fan of several DnDtubers like; Dingo Doodles, Cami-Cat and JoCat, I must say that this video has captured my attention and has gained my love & respect!!! I hope you make a video on your very own campaign one day!
I also love how Kelsey thought that making a DnD video was cringey unless it was done by other animators that is influential enough for her to make a video on it! Talk about copying each other's ideas, huh? LOL
Oh thank God she mentioned that she only loves us platonically. I thought for a second that she meant LOVE love. And I am NOT ready for that kind of commitment to a TH-camr I only just found. I appreciate the clarification.
Love hearing the stories. Don't call roleplaying cringy, it's an amazing outlet that needs to be normalized as something fun, not something to shun as nerdy. Your art is amazing and I hope you continue!
My School now has Clubs for Students and I think I should gather some folks to start a D&D club I have never played D&D but I really want to and the fact you can just create and Narrate your own Story with Friends sounds like creative Potential I'm not very good at drawing but I have somewhat of an idea of what or who i want my character to be. Either a Jester or Runaway Broken Robot
"I didn't make you, only for you to never come up again!" Oh don't worry, she's going to show up and completely blindside you. It happens with with like 99.9% of all backstory NPCs. One moment you're just minding your own business when out of nowhere the GM is just like "bam, backstory time bitch!" And you just have to roll with it. Pun intended.
Hi! (Oh... god this is awkward) I want to start playing dnd but I don't know how to tell my friends to play with me. You got any advise? (I'm REALLY desperate)
@@mormo2764 Oh, hello! Nice to meet you! Speaking of DnD, you can tell your friends how the game allows you and you friends to role play in a fantasy world and how you can bend and twist the story in any way you want! You can also teach them about the races, classes and many skills that the character bulding might hold. There is no right way or wrong way with bulding a character and interacting with the game's environment! Just let loose and have a lot o fun! That's what you should say to your friends! :D
I started DND recently at my school and everyone has helped me out as a beginner. My character’s a faun I named Dion who’s class is sorcerer Edit: here’s my whole character cause no one asked :) Name: Dion (her real name is Diana, but she changed it cause it’s lame to her and reminds her of her old community) Class: sorcerer Race: halfling (light foot, faun) Background: criminal Alignment: Chaotic Nue. Appearance: She has dark brown hair with gold horns and hooves. Her skin is tan. Her fur legs and tail are black with a yellow tip at the end of the tail. She has two piercings on her ear and a tag like necklace. She has the top half of a toga as a shirt and she doesn’t wear pants lol. She has a staff too. She’s 16, has red eyes, is 5ft and weighs 115. Background: She was born into a faun group that lives in the forest. She was kicked out and banished from her community due to committing crimes like stealing and straying away from some of their ideology. She believed that freedom is necessary and that reaching out to others is a good thing. So she was pretty much a loner for a while. Due to her loneliness and lack of social interaction, she kinda lost some people skills and became anxious about other people. Until she found someone to help her out of her shell a bit, another criminal. They hung out at taverns and had fun stealing a few things. They eventually split, but she’ll never forget that criminal. She’s a very touchy person and loves forming friendships and being the mom friend. Safety is one of her ideals along with protecting others. As long as she gets something in return too. The end. :)
My character is a Dragonborn named Val, raised by his mother who is a dragon. His mother was fighting a bunch of adventures but then a human bard seduced the dragon and well… Val was born. The adventurer left and the dragon was actually floored to have a child and named him after her most favorite thing valuable treasures, or val for short. Now val is older and tired of the same cave and his mother throwing him at high heights in an attempt for him to fly and sets out to call his dad a chad then collect his mothers deserved child support. Also theres a side plot where he has a prince in love with him but thats not really important.
That’s a half dragon….. Dragon born are a slave race from another planet , Now you could be a half dragon dragon born which is technically possible but dragon born have a racial hatred for dragons because of you know being enslaved by them so I don’t know how likely that would be It would also depend on what Color your characters mother was. I’m not sure if and gold would see the reason to have a child like that if anything if she was a red dragon maybe she’s trying to build an army of loyal servants . Maybe an above average white dragon would do that white dragons are always weird in the lore
Being Dm is basically spending 20 hours putting up maps and lore and things to do for the current session only for that one party member to kill of the guy who's gonna give the mission for that session
tbh, premade characters in my mind are fine for 1 reason: You can just.... ignore the personality stuff they automatically put in because it's your table, so you can just use the abilities, hell even if you do stick to the personality, everyone's gonna interpret big strong, slightly slow barbarian chad differently
Pregens can also have personalities and backgrounds that new players can sink their RP teeth into. What’s best is to present them with clear goals related to the oneshot. Sure it’s railroading, but so is all guidance.
Love DnD and have enjoyed watching your videos for a while, Playing DND is lots of fun but one of the things I have learned as DM is making content is hard. I am excited to see the work you put out!
I can absolutely relate to the meticulously plotting out of every detail and interaction of your characters life, I have several characters each with about 10 pages of backstory, most of whom I haven't ever gotten to play and likely will never play because I have become a forever DM.
Damn. Kelsey gave her character 3 separate arcs and I can't even come up with a reason for why my atheist dwarf would suddenly worship a deity and become a paladin.
Out of spite would be a very funny reason lmao Religious NPC: "so what made you convert to our religion? Was it the spiritual calling of god?"🙏🙏 Dwarf: "Eh, oh no. I just asked ironically and for some reason they actually answered so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
I freaking love d&d so much! I'm currently in 3 d&d campaigns and one pokémon tabletop RPG campaign. I'm playing a firbolg grave cleric in icewind Dale, a firbolg fortune telling circle of the moon druid in ghost of salt Marsh, and a tabaxi rogue in a side campaign. In the pokémon tabletop RPG, I'm playing as a girl named Kirsten who is a researcher that is obsessed with ghost pokémon and has a dead mom! Her starter is a shiny pumpkaboo!
Lost Mines is a solid starting campaign, my group also started with it and moved in from there. My halfling rogue started off falling into a dead horse to owning an orphanage for wayward girls that in no way teaches spycraft and assassination techniques after killing a lich trying to ascend to godhood.
YES! Tell us about your campaign! Spread the word, make it more popular! As a DM, I do agree, it's a lot of work, but as long as you're having fun, it pays off every minute spent on the preparation !
once i get my new desk i’m gonna start learning to draw, and one of the main reasons is to make my own dnd art cause i’m too broke to commission other people to do it.
I was born deaf, so I didn't really grow up playing D&D. My first game, originally my boyfriend got into it, and he mentioned me to them. GM suggested changing it to a play by post so I could join... Everyone agreed. It was one of the most thoughtful things I've ever had a group of mostly strangers do for me. I recently went though with a tough decision, and got a cochlear implant... So my current game is actually prepping to swap from play by post to a voice game.
You never forget that one character who touches your heart. Mine is a Tabaxi Domain Of Life Cleric named Zarba Rook. He is a very sweet Lynx like Tabaxi from a little town and travels the world to experience it while searching for ruins in hopes to discover Long forgotten healing techniques. He's an absolute sweetheart that does have a bit of a mouth on him sometimes
I love DnD. We started playing 6 years ago and haven't stop playing weekly since. 6 out of our 7 players also DM so there's always at least one, more likely two or four campaigns running at a time. We love it so deeply and also write ridiculously long backstories. We recently commissioned an artist to draw our whole party and we couldn't be more excited for the results. 🥰♥️♥️♥️♥️
i'm super into storytelling and making characters, so i'm trying to get my friends to start playing dnd. i practically designed an entire party in my spare time, from your classic tiefling warlock and dragonborn fighter to some more unique combos, such as haregon bard and fire genasi artificier. i even threw in a couple of gag builds such as hexblood hexblade and swiftstride shifter multiclassing as an echo knight and swashbuckler, affectionately dubbed "double hex" and "hit-and-run" respectively. i'd also be super interested in hosting a steampunk-themed homebrew session someday!!
D&D is an amazing (and expensive...) hobby! I always love it when people on this platform encounter it and genuinely have fun playing it! Here's to many more fun adventures.
Eyy! One of my players is a Tiefling with daddy issues for my campaign, and the father was killed too (but by someone else)! I ended up using the background info to try and make a very interesting encounter in this nearby village! Hope to hear more D&D stuff soon!
Kelsey: (casually mentioning The Adventure Zone) Me: (hides all the graphic novels and the saved playlist on Spotify) Me: PFFFT ADVENTURE ZONE? WHAT DAT?!?!?!?!
Yeah, the people at a table can make or break a game. Sometimes you’ll come across a problem player or a group who are nice on their own, but all have issues with people at the table. Sometimes you’ll come across a garbage group, it’s just the way things go sometimes. That being said, although it’s all well and good to make sure that some people in longer campaigns or home games won’t argue or ruin the game, don’t hesitate to participate in Adventures League or Events. There’s a lot of good people there, and even if you come across a few bad eggs, there’s moderators and organizers, and you could always switch groups. Additionally, since you’ll likely be playin one-shots there a few times, even if you have a bad group it’ll typically only be one rough time. Additionally, you could meet new people and make new friends. I really hope that you don’t let that ruin a potential hobby-D&D is too fun to be lost because of a botched introduction to the game. 🙂
@@master0fthearts894 I've decided that it's not for me, as I don't like participating in anything with strangers. As fun as it sounds, I'll stick to writing stories of my own lol Perhaps my friends and I will manage to organise something again, but that's highly doubtful.
@@no0t2 DMing is hard depending on how many people there are and how much prep you do. If you do zero prep and have 3-4 people, the game can be incredibly easy to run as you don’t have to prep, you don’t have to handle every player, and a lot of it can go by pretty easy. It can be hard if you do too much prep or have over 6 players, though.
I've been playing DnD with my family since I was a junior in high school. My dad was our DM, since he has been playing since he was a teenager. DnD is our family game night, especially since we have all mostly moved out of the house. We are currently playing a modern setting my dad has written that includes going to different realms, space pirates, family drama for a couple of the characters, and this groups becoming the next generation of heroes to protect their own realm. I love this campaign so much!!
I'm actually making a D&D campaign with a group of friends and even if they aren't experienced I truly wanna help them and one already has an idea for his character
Hurray for DnD! It's such a fun past time. Really helped me getting out of my shy streak, dm'ing can be so much fun :D:D Good luck in your dm'ing adventures!
I'm DMing Waterdeep: Dragon Heist and my first campaign was also Lost Mines of Phandelver! It has such a soft spot for me so I love hearing about everyone's first adventures 🥺
ONE OF US! ONE OF US! ONE OF US! god, I hope that "youtube animator dnd campaign" thing you said wasnt a joke, I mean I'd still be happy with all the god-tier stuff you guys already make but that'd send me over the MOON
Omg yes d&d is so much fun! The character I’m playing now is a half-drow cursed shadow sorceress who has a fascination with learning :3 she wants to be a cryptozoologist and she has a black cat that can teleport as her companion. I love to draw her and I’m even making her an npc in my homebrew campaigns that I run UwU Then I have a second character that’s a blue charismatic tiefling, an absolute charming bb, who’s a conman. I have a lot of fun rping as him cuz he’s chaotic and sarcastic. He’s a fun time and I like to draw him too
WHAT A COINCIDENCE. Me and my friends are about to start a custom campaign set in this magical sorta steampunk, sorta dieselpunk world in the middle of a war. I'm playing an Egyptian themed warforged monk but the kicker is not only is this a custom world but because of it the DM has let us go wild and write about the far off lands that our characters have come from. We're about to start it over break and I am actually so dang excited to jump into the campaign.
I started my first campaign today at my school and it was so fun. My group had to look for a werewolf cause one of our friends decided to run out in order to tame it. We ran out of time though once we killed it and we don’t know what’ll happen next
I am currently DMing a DND Campaign and 0MG, the WORK you have to put in. And the whole time, its mostly improve so its a chaotic beautiful mess lmao. CHEERS TO DM'S WHO MAKE THE ADVENTURE POSSIBLE! lol
my friends started playing dnd a while before me and i still vividly remember when my dungeon master friend told me all the spoilers and i thought it was exciting, so i jumped into the campaign a little late and once it was over, i ended up revealing that i already knew what was gonna happen (my other friend who was a player ended up romancing an npc as you do when you play dnd and some drama happened at the finale) and that same friend left the call and promptly chewed me tf out TToTT
Tiefling rogue is the top edge? Oh my sweet summer child, still so innocent. *Laughs in Fallen Aasimar Devil pact lock + Shadow sorcerer multiclass* Seriously though, welcome to the wonderful and oh so delightfully weird world of tabletop rpgs! And just in case you were wondering, schedule timing will always be the biggest headache lol.
I started dnd around 2019, a little before dnd started getting super popular. I’m so glad to see so many people enjoying it! I am sad that I’m no longer going to be playing with my old group and may not find another. I got to play a lot though at least!
mm, there's this special part of pathfinder where you can basically get teleportation as part of a movement action. it's my favorite. only caviats are that it's 10ft per level in that class and you have to see where you're going. you can take someone with you, but each person also use up amounts on those feets you can teleport. perfect getting out of jail card amongst others.
I'm also a little obsessed with D&D so it's super cool to see one of my favorite TH-camrs actually talk about it!! Also, edgy tiefling players unite! In one of my campaigns, I play a character who started out as a very innocent himbo (his name is Salmon Pacifica btw, just thought I'd share lmao) but now has a crap ton of trauma thanks to my DM lol so he's edgy now
i just started dming a campaign yesterday after 7 months of only playing it as a character and i love it so much already as i got to give my player a ridiculously fluffy cat name Furball as a familia and watched them accidently ask to court the villain. d&d is a 10/10 always
It's the first video of you that I'm seeing and I would love to see an animated campaign sort of thing. Love your art style and your character (I'm 100% biased maybe, 'cause my first and only DnD character was also a female tiefling rogue). Keep the great work.
You are now a D&D TH-camr, and no, it may not be undone. 😂 But in all seriousness, Emily and Maaz were not the first D&D TH-camrs there’s ever been-Puffin Forest and Dingo Doodles are other animation-story channels that talked about D&D long beforehand, and they’re pretty entertaining, so if you want more stuff like this Kelsey, I suggest you check them out.
I had a hopeful robot doctor turn depressed robo mad scientist in a attempt to rid the world of death after they witnessed both their brother and close friends die
I actually have a funny story about dnd. So I was playing a campaign with some friends, and I played a halfling rouge. We were in a kingdom ruled by a dictator. I had a step by step plan to win. Step 1: Buy a pair of stilettos that made me as tall as the dictator. (I had plenty of gold) Step 2: Cast Disguise self to make myself looks like the ruler Step three: kill the tyrant
i love dnd. My friends were like yo your besties brother is making a campaign. And i was like sign me up. And i was thrown in not knowing anything. Dm's been playing for 12yrs. I almost a year and im still figurig out my character. Well my bean is a half orc cleric that is shy but over the campaign has gained confidence. She is very self conscious about showing her face due to orcs not being seen in a good light. Shes very sweet, very strong, just an al around sweetheart. Wish i knew the world map before dm threw me into it. He was like wheres your character from a i was like (👁👄👁) what? but its been fun so far.
I've been playing D&D for years, but only really play it now since my group has a preference for it. I've picked up a lot of systems over the past few years and really found I'm more about Powered By The Apocalypse TTRPGs like Masks or Avatar Legends. Those systems are more about Story telling, narrative, and character growth (my type of thing) rather than number crunching (more what D&D is all about). I would recommend checking them out if you like world building and characters but don't want to get bogged down by mechanics (also it's a lot easier to DM... A LOT easier...)
In my dnd campaign, my party was nearly killed two separate times by orcs and lava, before leaving our starting village to be destroyed by a teenage dragon and proceeded to start a drug company that works out of a random cabin in a creepy forest.
Hey sweet! I'm playing my first campaign ever this January! I'll be playing as a Tiefling Bard raised by a noble family that finds out she was stolen and sold to said family. Wish me luck!
Once you get comfortable enough with TTRPGs in general, I highly recommend giving Pathfinder 2e a shot. The sheer amount of character customisation is outright insane, especially if your GM implements Free Archetype rule Maybe you wanted to play a barbarian who can grow in size and spew fire? Or a drunken fist monk who brews "mutagenic" beer? Strategist fighter/trapper hybrid? A wizard who can give their spells an extra oomph via sheer hatred? A simple thief with his loyal cat? A walking pet shop ranger? Pathfinder 2e has it all and much more
Fun game, as a new player and dm... I wish I had known how much work was needed, don't get me wrong I absolutely love it.... But its a balancing act between keeping players entertained, challanged, and alive, all it takes is one crit and the cleric's down. Homebrew is fun but be prepared to play test it a lot. But... You never do your best first time, be prepared to learn alongside your players and learn how to improvise, because players will always learn multiple ways to surprise you
I would love to hear more about your dnd experiences! It's one of my favorite hobbies nowadays, I actually just got back from DMing a winter one shot for my friends!
I play d&d and it's so fun to be like a mage druid ect. But they are SO hard so make cause you have to know how to use spells but d&d is very fun! If you want to play d&d there are usually groups so you can play from 11 and up most of the times
So I absolute love and , the thing is everyone around me including some of my party members are not so interested and enthusiastic as I am. and watching your video it was like having a friend who is so involved and enthusiastic and I absolutely adored it
as a dm, dming is awesome and also the worst at the same time. i do suggest the adventure zone balance because it really does teach you. sometimes the rules can be tossed out for the sake of fun and storytelling. they wanted to build a world and that they did. TAZ saved my life and i don't say that lightly. i recommend it to anyone who needs a good story.
Yo I didn’t know you played! This is so awesome! Right now I’m playing an Aaracokra bard with memory loss and only one wing named Uno. The party found him with they were raiding a doctors house for a quest and were just like “ooo can we keep him [palidan group dad]!? Pleeeeease!” Anyway he made fast friends with the tefling scorcerer and they like to commit arson together. Anyway yeah awesome vid! I love your animations and it’s nice to have a content creator in Utah!
Tbh I only watched you for like 2 weeks, and I love your videos already, plus you're art style it gave me inspiration for my style, and I finally found out my style, thanks to you.
I've seen somewhere that the Golden caps on tiefling horns indicate marriage, and silver caps indicate being a widow (yes i am a nerd and looked up tiefling stuff because they're awesome)
Most of my characters have no names but like, stories fleshed out and designs and everything. No names tho. Only one has a name so far and he's a Minotaur Barbarian that multiclasses in Warlock because some shady shit happened to his ring that got passed down from generations. His name is Faris Steelhorn. Idk it's still a wip. I also have this character that uh, idk if it's quite uP tO CodE fOr DnD but he's a Giggledog Monk! He doesn't speak a whole lot of English, so he struggles very hard to speak and remember words. (Which is amazing for me, even if I'm a native English speaker, I am very shitty at remembering words.) His back story is that his Wawa, (An aunt or uncle figure), taught him to fight, and was entirely willing to do anything to train him. His family is a little tight on money, but they spoil him quite a lot, so he doesn't suffer too much. He mostly just loved the thought of learning to be strong every since he was young. Then there's the fuckin Kenku. He just travels the land and does what he can to get money. He's rather tall for a Kenku, and humanoid and scrawny. He lives in a horse drawn carriage with, well, a horse and his dog! Very small dog. His goal is to just travel around, making a name for himself. Then there's a grey, freckled and young Half-Orc that comes from human parents. He has 3 brothers and 2 sisters, all human as well. He is covered in a bunch of little scars and scratches, as well as his siblings, since all the kids were such close ages they often just wrestled and climbed trees near the house. He is just very wholesome and curious, always wondering what's beyond his village's borders. I'm thinking of naming him Sun or something but idk. That's all I can remember off the top of my head lol
My adventures into D&D: always wanted to play but never had a friend group to join. Go to a karaoke event and meet someone who has played for years. Get adopted into her game and now after 2 years I have been a part of a few small campaigns, DM'ed one myself, am apart of 2 ongoing and am the person most people come to when they need help with understanding the game and how certain mechanics work. *Oh, and got a group from my old job all into it!

Because of that, he was ostracised by his own people, even his parents, and got banished from the Orc village for being *Non-Orc like.*

Your art is amazing and I hope you continue!
i’m so obsessed with dnd i have a campaign with people from my library. my characters name is mars which is why i made my account on here mars lol
Hi I love your pfp/gen
Yoooo what species is mars, they sound really cool

Me, the unlucky .1% where I put in work for a backstory only for them to be never used
Oh hey! I love to play D&D! No wonder why Kelsey became a half-elf! She looks more menacing!
Hi! (Oh... god this is awkward) I want to start playing dnd but I don't know how to tell my friends to play with me.

@@mormo2764 No problem! Mormo is a cute name! My name is Sir Moony! :D
I started DND recently at my school and everyone has helped me out as a beginner. My character’s a faun I named Dion who’s class is sorcerer
Edit: here’s my whole character cause no one asked :)
Name: Dion (her real name is Diana, but she changed it cause it’s lame to her and reminds her of her old community)
Class: sorcerer
Race: halfling (light foot, faun)
Background: criminal
Alignment: Chaotic Nue.
The end. :)
That's so sweet !
What's your character alignement ?

I responded to the wrong post, SORRY. I stand by what I said though.
Ooo I had a halfling with +5 intimidaton and once cut off a goblin's head to stand atopit and threaten more goblins lol
So your character was basically the offspring of a Bard coming back.
That is quite epic, and *really* meme-worthy.
That’s a half dragon….. Dragon born are a slave race from another planet , Now you could be a half dragon dragon born which is technically possible but dragon born have a racial hatred for dragons because of you know being enslaved by them so I don’t know how likely that would be
It would also depend on what Color your characters mother was. I’m not sure if and gold would see the reason to have a child like that if anything if she was a red dragon maybe she’s trying to build an army of loyal servants . Maybe an above average white dragon would do that white dragons are always weird in the lore
I have a dragonborn monk named Sun Tzu and his whole thing is that he quotes the Art of War before, in, or after battles
CHADS GOTTA PAY HIS CHILD SUPPORT
Who else feels like there's at least a 10% chance of Kelsey making her own Fools' Gold here?
I'd be so down
*I'd love to see that!!!*
I would be down for that.
OH FUCK! I FORGOT ABOUT FOOL’S GOLD I GOT TO CHECK THE CHANNEL FOR AN UPDATE!

Aah a fellow dungeon master....
Good luck my friend
I can absolutely relate to the meticulously plotting out of every detail and interaction of your characters life, I have several characters each with about 10 pages of backstory, most of whom I haven't ever gotten to play and likely will never play because I have become a forever DM.
Dnd is hands down my favourite game and my favourite special interest ever. It's a joy seeing this XD
I love D&D, I play every now and then, and I’ve been playing as a character named Soda Pop for a little over 5 years, and I still love playing as him!
What a coincidence that this comes out as soon as I start getting into DnD
Damn. Kelsey gave her character 3 separate arcs and I can't even come up with a reason for why my atheist dwarf would suddenly worship a deity and become a paladin.
Maybe like they were down on their luck and were like eh this’ll be a goof and then they actually got powers
Out of spite would be a very funny reason lmao
Religious NPC: "so what made you convert to our religion? Was it the spiritual calling of god?"🙏🙏
Dwarf: "Eh, oh no. I just asked ironically and for some reason they actually answered so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
I mean a pc doesn't even have to be religious to be a paladin
@@respectfulevil9022 Really?
@@lunch_trey yes. The paladin is just devoted to an oath. That's where they get their powers
Oh man I'm right there with you. I'm so interested in Dnd but none of my friends are the type to get into it 😔
D&D is an amazing (and expensive...) hobby!

As fun as it sounds, I'll stick to writing stories of my own lol
Perhaps my friends and I will manage to organise something again, but that's highly doubtful.

I'm not really a DnD kind of guy...or a table top kind of guy in general, but this was an interesting story to hear. Good on ya.👍

Seriously though, welcome to the wonderful and oh so delightfully weird world of tabletop rpgs!

Good to know I’m not the only one thirsting for adventure!
You are now a D&D TH-camr, and no, it may not be undone. 😂
But in all seriousness, Emily and Maaz were not the first D&D TH-camrs there’s ever been-Puffin Forest and Dingo Doodles are other animation-story channels that talked about D&D long beforehand, and they’re pretty entertaining, so if you want more stuff like this Kelsey, I suggest you check them out.
Don't forget about Jocat with his Crap Guide to DnD and Cami-Cat who makes original DnD inspired songs!

I actually have a funny story about dnd.
So I was playing a campaign with some friends, and I played a halfling rouge. We were in a kingdom ruled by a dictator. I had a step by step plan to win.
Step 1: Buy a pair of stilettos that made me as tall as the dictator. (I had plenty of gold)
Step 2: Cast Disguise self to make myself looks like the ruler
Step three: kill the tyrant
I'd love to see a video about the campaign you DM'd! That would be amazing to see!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
He was like wheres your character from a i was like
(👁👄👁) what?
but its been fun so far.
It’s like I always say: Come for D&D, stay for practically any other RPG.
In my dnd campaign, my party was nearly killed two separate times by orcs and lava, before leaving our starting village to be destroyed by a teenage dragon and proceeded to start a drug company that works out of a random cabin in a creepy forest.
Not to mention finding someone willing to run Dungeons and Dragons for those that want to play in their story created for the Players
DND is so much fun started playing 5e in college
The sheer amount of character customisation is outright insane, especially if your GM implements Free Archetype rule
Maybe you wanted to play a barbarian who can grow in size and spew fire?
But... You never do your best first time, be prepared to learn alongside your players and learn how to improvise, because players will always learn multiple ways to surprise you
My character casually being a male brown bear that’s a rouge and only speaks beast… plus his name is Catherine.
I love your style omg

as a dm, dming is awesome and also the worst at the same time. i do suggest the adventure zone balance because it really does teach you. sometimes the rules can be tossed out for the sake of fun and storytelling. they wanted to build a world and that they did. D&D is awesome and it is so much fun being a DM, sometimes though I do just want to play; but I still always come back to my campaigns.
Yoooo d&d is my bread and butter lol. I'm not very good at it but I just love the potential of stories and characters that can happen
My character in D&D is a very funny person, she even made a chair laugh!
(Which is amazing for me, even if I'm a native English speaker, I am very shitty at remembering words.)
His back story is that his Wawa, (An aunt or uncle figure), taught him to fight, and was entirely willing to do anything to train him.
