Bro imagine when curly’s old enough to join the militia and trains as a wrestler dwarf, turning her fists into deadlier weapons. Also the benefit of wearing proper armour considering she almost died to a single archer.

DF stories go so hard tbh, genuinely unpredictable but sensible plots, characters you grow attached to and almost always a tragic ending. I just lost my 250 citizen mountainhome to a lazy dwarf not pulling a lever across the room and a titan coming for its revenge. 😌

how did you do the timeskip?! i still haven't played the steam version but seeing you can actually choose what your dwarves make statues of...i'm sorely tempted
in DF hack before you get into the game (you're just deciding to do either fortress/adventure/legends) you can type "time" and find timeskip duration in the settings :)
Working is a real stretch, but I used cage traps attached to levers in order to get the caged invaders released in the zones I wanted them to be. Also, you can toss goblins in lava pits the only worry is the goblin fights back once released and your dwarf falls in instead!
could be a vampire, vampires are extremely strong, though they are seldom children. They make great one man armies and can be looked up for all eternity or until they come in useful.

DF hack!!! Type timeskip in the DFhack menu before you load a save. You can turn the weeks of preparation into months or years
