It is wonderful to see Sohyang perform "Lean On Me" again in 2021. And as you said, Sohyang seems to get better with time. Her singing now carries an air of polish and ease that made her appear almost majestic on stage. She was in total control. That B5 note just pops up so naturally it's ridiculous but we have seen what Sohyang can do. Great to see you again.

Started with , Begin Again Korea , something about working with the young singers and being in a group, she just Soared, you could see the joy in her face and she was so relaxed, I think the Pandemic actually helped her, by keeping sick people away from her and extra rest! She is also not worried about making it big in the States since she turned down the latest Record Company , Sony about 1 years ago! She just doing what she enjoys! She may never be really rich but has Love and Great Family Life and Support, time to do her Charities and Church work, she has been writing again( a couple Faith books) and has time and Energy to do Shows and Has Enough money I think and she can Always write another Fantasy Novel! She actually didn't go sharp. The moment she sings "on" in "you can lean on" she modulates from G# major to G# minor, and both B and Bb are in that scale. The Bb5 version just sounds less drastic because she also hits it directly rather than doing a glissando up like she does with the B.

I have watched the fancam video (only audio) of her Immortal Songs version many years ago (maybe that video is deleted now?), and she hit B5. I am not sure why but KBS edited the highest note and some of the adlibs on that performance. She absolutely did her best because Michael Bolton was watching her.

In doing this they for some reason flattened her note to the B-flat. That is what I have heard anyway.
