For reasons not to be debated right now, but when I shelved Meteora for about a decade. Yes. 10 years. A lot happened personally and world wide during that time. Dug it back out 7 weeks ago and that album hold up so nicely. Lyrics came belting out I had forgotten. It was amazing. Fun times!!!
If I could only listen to one band, I would definitely choose LP. 1. They're my favourite band and I already listen to their songs on repeat. 2. They've got so much diversity in their music, it won't feel repetitive or like I'm listening to just one band. Chester always said it feels like he's in a new band every time they make a record, and you can definitely feel that as a listener.

So I've loved LP since before hybrid theory came out. My mom (whose a metalhead) worked for virgin records and got their demo (cassette with with you on A side and one step closer on B) and brought it home for us to hear. We ended going to a tiny private show after where we also got to talk with them. My mom legit told Chester that he was the real deal and they would blow up. Aside from the cool story, and all the songs I love by them, my favorite song by them is actually 'Waiting for the end to come'. I highly recommend you hear it. Something about the lyrics being what I'd be thinking right before my life ends.

For me its Disturbed, now Avenged Sevenfold is one of my favorite bands but I like David Draimens voice more than M. Shadows and there are some songs from Disturbed that I like more than some of Avenged Sevefold's, at least to me lol

Lp acrually wrote that song about a record exec that died of cancer, but when i listened to it the first time i believed it was about losing someone suddenly to suicide. Esp the line 'shouldve stayed, were there signs i ignored? Can i help you not to hurt anymore?' And the line 'who cares if one more light goes out - i do'. But then Chester was gone....and it became so real. Perhaps it was a bit of both, but i agree with ur thoughts. That song gets me everytime.

Well , to answer your question it’s easy in fact it gotta be Linkin Park (in my opinion). So many different genres, lyrics you never get bored and you learn a lot so it makes sense
LINKIN PARK. THATS WHO I WOULD LISTEN TO IF I COULD ONLY LISTEN TO ONE BAND. I recently received the Hybrid Theoryy 20th anniversary collectors box set and it is glorious.
This my favorite of their later work, I feel like they married some of the heavier aspects perfectly with modern electronic music here, just tight and catchy songwriting.

Definitely Linkin Park. Only band that has ever spoken to me & made me feel like I'm a valid person despite the mind sometimes being broken, LPU forever.

Well , to answer your question it’s easy in fact it gotta be Linkin Park (in my opinion). So many different genres, lyrics you never get bored and you learn a lot so it makes sense

This my favorite of their later work, I feel like they married some of the heavier aspects perfectly with modern electronic music here, just tight and catchy songwriting.
