    It's always a blessed day when you drop a video! Capital and Ken White Construction should have some sort of friendly competition and make a video out of it. Like a skid steer competition, or tractor competition or something to that effect. Would be entertaining.

    Asphalt pronounced as Ash-falt in Australia, with the odd guy or 2 saying Ash-fault (and more pronouncing the U in Ash-faUlt)

    Always tuning in for some asphalt paving 🤘 curious do you run the cat cb2.7 on the asphalt if so for the first passes then have another roller for finish?

    • @capitalasphalt
      @capitalasphalt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Right on man! Thanks for the support and for watching our channel!
      So normal we run out 1 Ton roller first to get the first pack, then the cb 2.7, then back to the finish roller.
      Hope that helps you out!

      Rototilt has a dealer local to our area, they have great customer support, and a proven product.
      1 year with it now, about 400hr and I couldn’t be happier.

    Gotta question , here in the us we lay a binder coat then go back over with a top coat , is the asphalt your using have a mixture of bigger and small aggregate?

    • @capitalasphalt
      @capitalasphalt  ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly man, I love this question. Paving in Canada and Paving I’m the states is definitely done differently.
      To answer your question, yes it does have a mixture of both. We pave 2.5” for our residential clients, 1 lift. I feel the best method would be to do 2 lifts at 50mm each (2”) however, the issue is the customer pays a significant amount more for this service.
      Practically no one in this area does this for residential clients, we do however, do this practice and recommend this practice to all of our commercial clients. Even some commercial clients insist on just one left of 50 mm Asphalt , even though it’s always are preference to do to lifts of 50 mm Asphalt for all commercial projects.
      Hopefully this answers your question, thanks for watching her channel .
