    I'm a die hard Mt100 fan. That being said i don't think this was a fair fight because the Wacker has extra counter weights bolted on the back. If the MT would've had it's own extra set then it would've lifted that pallet just like the Wacker.

    I always backfill behind my walls with 11/2 lateral rock, locks the wall together and no settling

  • @digger7871
    @digger7871 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

    The problem is dirt backfill behind the wall. Dirt settled and silted through the joints then the rocks tip back. Also staggering the joints better would have helped

    I know drainage behind walls is a good practice but there is nothing in this assembly that is keeping water from passing through it. If it were a poured concrete wall obviously it would be absolutely necessary but on a wall like this just having drainage rock behind it would be enough. Again, this is just my opinion and it certainly doesn’t hurt doesn’t hurt to install the pipe.

    How many turns on the asphalt paver screw do you need to make a slight change. Would half a turn do anything?

    • @capitalasphalt
      @capitalasphalt 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Great question. The answer is for every action, there is a reaction. A half turn would definitely give you movement. It takes about five paver lengths to see the full impact of each reaction you make on a paver.

      @capitalasphalt thanks for the reply...I am trying to lay a batter pad when paving. Sometimes I get different heights when paving strips in a large area. I made about 10 foot strips which means I had to extend the paver wings 1 of 2 feet. When I start a strip we dump some asphalt on the ground to get a pad. Back the machine up set the machine to float on that pad. Are there any changes I should do before or after setting the machine on the pad? Is the only way to tell if you need adjustment is to pave a few feet? Under the wings is where it was low and the seams were not matching up. One guy had keep throwing shovels back to fill in.
