    We do our coping the same way as you guys. We have also let the mud dry and then applied techniseal glue to hold down our coping. Just using mud is much cheaper though. Both ways have worked well. 50% of our liner pools have a top mount.

    Great work! Very few contractors out there that could pull this off without looking like a disaster.

    I always mortar on the coping around the pool. Do you usually glue it if they pour the concrete to the top? Let me know!
    Great videos! Cheers

      As long as the pool was installed with a side mount, we glue. In this case it was a top mount, so we had no choice but to use mortar.
      Thanks for watching, I appreciate you taking the time.
      Cheers

      @@capitalasphalt Nice! Do you ever have to shim or have trouble with alignment on the side mount when using the glue technique? I always just go the mortar route since the concrete is never usually set perfect. Let me know! I enjoy watching your videos, you guys do great work. We are out of Durham region GTA but I was visiting some family in Ottawa and saw some of your work. Looks just as good in person.

    Is there a reason you didn't run the retaining wall along the back of the property? I would be worried about all of that subbase slipping/eroding and undermining the pavers.

    • @capitalasphalt
      @capitalasphalt  ปีที่แล้ว

      The base material is all clear stone. It will not be moving anywhere. The walls do go further then you can see on camera. We instead over-based the area by about 3ft to make sure no movement would happen, same idea when building a road for a car. The home owner is installing a deck next year in the “ unfinished section) so spending the money on a wall didn’t seem to make sense, plus I’m very confident how we installed it will be just as long lasting.
