Please include the tortoise shell pick guard more often. With all due respect the butterscotch/black is kinda been there done that. Let’s think out of the box more. Thanks Fender ❤
If they put a tortoise shell on the butterscotch, there'd be a bunch of comments complaining it wasn't black. The good news for both crowds is that it's an easy mod.
Would love to try the red one - it looks pretty similar to my American Vintage ‘63 in transparent crimson.. half the price but I bet it’s more than half the guitar.. looks really nice.
I’m waiting for a telecaster in gunmetal grey, rosewood fretboard and tortoise shell pickguard!! Please 😍 Ernie ball music man used this combo is was killer. Thanks!! ❤
Look up the fender tele in tungsten finish, there's at least one used on reverb. It's pretty much exactly what you're looking for besides the pickguard. Can always add one after the fact tho
Agreed. Pewter looks great on the Clapton Strats. A similar gunmetal color would be great. I think a metallic bronze like the one used on the new Affinity Jag would also be stunning.

Hi love the opening riff intro, the guitar with the rosewood fretboard sound killer. I two teles the ventura '50 model in red, and the Modern Player Series, but they both have maple necks. I want one with a rosewood fretboard. Is there a difference in tone between a maple and a fretboard? Thank you for posting this.
4:23 what wood is this tele made of. would be great if each wood had their colors. The fact that you can get either chambered ash or chambered mahogany in the same colors makes it difficult for me to choose.
@@OkdudeCoolStory With that weight it's got to be chambered The Fender Player ll Telecasters comes in four chambered models Butterscotch Blonde - Chambered Ash Aged Cherry Burst - Chambered Ash Transparent - Cherry Chambered Mahogany Mocha - Chambered Mahogany
@@tobbebergman7583 I bought the white blond model, ash body and the Sweetwater listing does indeed say it’s chambered. Looks like a nice dark piece of rosewood on it as well!
The classic gear tuners just aren’t for me. Fender is such an iconic brand, you guys just can’t seem to add all the features I’d like at a reasonable price point. It’s a shame.
You can upgrade to Fender locking tuners easily. No special tools are needed. Undo the screws, pop out the old ones, and slide in the new ones. Tighten them up and play.
@@bryancollins6796 sure, but I’d also like a rounded neck heel which they used to do on the MIM Nashville’s. Not paying for an Ampro2. Also, they used to use sealed tuners, no idea why they went away from them
I chuckled at the descriptions "player friendly" and "new vintage colors". Who'd want an instrument that WASN'T "player friendly"? And WTF is "new vintage"? At least the video title wasn't the clickbait bullshit that is de rigueur on YT.
@Fastskull The Tele is obsolete. Everything in this guitar. Strat's form is a model all around the world. Very well balanced. The Strat bridge, with this vibrato, is extraordinary. It is super compact, extremely easy, and pleasant to use. My most powerful guitar wasn't a Strat, but with the main form of the Strat. It would have been impossible with the Tele form....

Tortoise is pretty ugh in my opinion
Pickguards are $10. Have at it.
I just got my Lefty Player 2 Tele today. Thank you fender for putting reverse tapper pots in finally. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
That red one looks 😋

I’m getting the butterscotch blonde squire so hopefully it will be good for me.

Look for a Telecaster American Series in Pewter. It is kinda the same color.

@@randrothify I actually own the American Series Telecaster in Pewter with a maple neck. It looks great !
How about some more lefty models?

Ash. If you look on the website and select a colour it tells you what wood it's made of.
@@jimmythefish thank you
Nice guitarist
I wonder if Fender managed to get the weight down to about 3 Kilos with the chambering !
Then it's a winner !
I just ordered one from Sweetwater that’s 5lbs 15oz!!!

A Tele 5lbs 15oz ????
If there's any truth in that we have a winner !

I like Fender. But not the Tele
