The only problem with bells is that their attack and projectile speed are so freaking slow, on top of their AOE splash damage only exploding at the very end of their max projectile range or if it hits a wall. Honestly, the explosive AOE should explode on impact with enemies, not just when it hits a wall.
I can't wait for Kiseff to start adding more areas. I only joined recently (right after the Thanksgiving patch from what it seems), but I've been enjoying my time since then.
I started the day after the EA version was dropped. So much fun and fluid action really got me into the game. And of course, I get to make all the *fuzzy creatures* in the editor that makes Vailguard blush.
Bell was basically hammer, but with a multi hit projectile, which made it absurdly strong. You're also not technically "rooted" when using heavy weapons, as I've found if you hold a direction while attacking, your character will slide a short distance. Quite useful for strafing around enemies
You can also dash right as that slide starts, and you'll go farther while losing zero damage uptime. I've been playing a paladin style mystic build with hammer bell and I've been super mobile with it because of that😊
the auto-pickup was indeed in the game, i happened to me various times, but i didn't knew what exactly i was doing to make it pick up the items automatically. as a proud user of colossus tone, i can say that it barely matters i still steamroll crescent grove without a problem.
I was wrecking the game with the collosus bell to the point that i just built around the bell and was unstoppable lol there was no point in anything else. Glad he fixed it so i can actually use the rest of my skills and move around like midgame. More fun that way. My scepter became practically useless.
So far, good changes overall. I can't remember if the bell fully roots one when using it. In any case, jump attacks got around this. I don't mind the nerf much, but part of the problem is that, well...outside of the other Colossus weapons, few others can even compete.
Absolutely agree. I am very happy with the dev making changes. It's a relief in a world where it seems that the opposite happens more often than not. I give all the dev 100% my support.
All i really wish they add already is a official controller support, cause i can't get used to the ones that other people made A controller input customization just like elden ring, souls like games, or even hollow knight would be enough for me. And i also wish they could add a new race that could be felines, so we could make cats, jaguars, Lynxes, cheetahs, leopards, etc.
I haven't joined the Dev Discord to see if these Bugs/issues have been reported. Bugs I have found, Rare occurrence Diva not spawning, Grove Spike Traps invisible for some players. Common bugs almost every lobby without fail, The Grove Door can get stuck on both sides for player's and Rage Boars attacking twice which only seems to happen when playing online, but its only a Rageboar issue and doesn't happen with any other enemy types. Usually when I block a second attack will ocur when the Rage Boar is still in its stun animation. Which can be parried twice by parrying letting go waiting 0.5 seconds and parrying again. But it shouldn't be happening at all. Not a Bug but complaints in general the Colosus Bell nerf is fine but the Charge attack needs a buff its so underwhelming that its not even worth using and a lot of people feel that way. Does way less damage for no benefit. Charging hammer could be faster but its fine. A huge issue I do have is enemies glow purple when they are about to attack... but then guests ARE purple so they change into the same color which is not only hard to see but doesn't make any sense. Luckily this issue has been kind of addressed with the additional sound ques for when slimes and guests attack. I major quality of life change i would like to see is the ability to switch characters in a seasion without leaving the server, this will prevent hosts from having to shut the entire server down just to change classes and make it easer to play with players on their current level. Lastly this could be a feature i just haven't found but i cant find a way to take just 1 item out of a stack instead of taking the entire thing.
You should report it! Use the Steam Forums! I have found some bugs, specifically with UI Party issues, but that's the only one that has reoccurred and has been reported and replicable.
it seems like a relatively good update even with the Bell Nerf. watch out when joining random Lobby some of the people will wipe your entire account inventory
I did a solo grove run to test the bell nerf and it still shreds enemies so quickly the 16 dmg nerf didnt really affect it at all lmao The only way to truly nerf the Tone is that lessen the multi hits like make it 3 instead of 4 multihits that would definitely hurt it more

I got 50 hours out of it, so that's kind of a you problem, but the answer right now Is really not much. There's only two out of 6 Dungeons in the game and something like one out of six wild zones. In its current state it's not much more than a game demo but that's why it's early access game isn't planned to be completed until 2026. Its a Solo Dev project, which means there's literally only a single person working on the entire game.

yeah the colossus tone was really strong. me and a friend wiped the floor with the Rageboars and Cannonboars when we got there as lv19 mystics, meanwhile when i was a lv21 fighter i was having a really hard time killing them. i was relying mostly on my friend who had the bell for damage.
As a Colossus Bell Mystic main, totally understandable.
The black one isn't bad either, I mean it's understood that that thing does a lot of damage

there are 4 zones that indicate there are at least that many. if you know where the gate of moons is at you'll see them yourself
