Terysa, next time you have the camera on Nick, can you please say the word "workshop" - because I want to see Nick's eyes glaze over when he thinks about his workshop! 😄 I was impressed with the thickness of the bulk heads before, but am even more impressed with seeing the level of workmanship with securing the furniture. Really impressive.

I think progress is flying along at least from my perspective as a TH-cam audience member. I imagine from your perspective it might seem a bit slower given you guys are seeing the progress on almost a daily basis. The construction methods and attention to details are extraordinary and its an amazing opportunity to see it all come together. Stay safe. Thanks for keeping us up to date its fascinating to watch and sailing RR2 isn't that far away.

It's starting to be a lot easier to picture the actual layout and space you're going to have, maybe not QUITE enough room to bounce on the bed but close LOL. One _HUGE_ positive about being on-site for most of the build, and working so closely with the PM and guys on the floor, is you're going to KNOW exactly where every bit plumbing line and electrical cable is.

It’s really interesting watching the build process move forward with the various pieces. It also helps that you continue to point out different parts that were previous discussions, like the water tight bulkheads and compartments, which also makes it easier to understand where those sections fit into the actual boat. What do they use as the actual mattress platform since the bed birth area looks a little short for a typical king size mattress?

Just an idea for more content. I know I would and maybe a lot of your viewers be interested in the inner workings of the Sea wind factory. Obviously you are covering this in regard to your boat but a higher level about how all Sea winds are produced the differences the difficulties suppliers employees design sales certification legal etc how Sea wind are coping with both building a factory and producing your model at the same time.
I am pretty sure Sea wind would be happy to cooperate since excellent PR for the company though of course you would have to be aware of any propriety information they would not want shown.
I do appreciate how easy it is for someone to come up with an idea or in this case the beginnings of an idea without regard for the hundreds of hours it would take or the extra work required by multiple people especially when no one has any idea how well it would be received.

I think this is so amazing .. to see your yatch being built.
A few videos ago I asked about insulation. Is there any? Another question. I hear lots of yatch owners talk about mold. Especially those in the tropics. Seeing how the hull and inner form are made and fitted, how do you control mold between inner and outer forms. If you have A/C, there will be condensation where warm and cold meet.

    • @sailingrubyrose

Fibreglass doesn’t need insulation as much as aluminium or steel

I think it is time to start your Splash Day countdown. Let me help: April 12, May 31, June 30, July 15 = 12+31+30+15 = 88 days +,- to go. When there are 10 days to go will be the time to make your provisioning list, and buy a nice bottle of champagne. With 1 day to go - pinch yourselves, and have an adult cocktail, or two just to settle your nerves. Yeah, 88 days to S-Day and counting! Best, :¬) Webhead USA

Hi there Nick and Terysa, Again thank you for another wonderful vid about your build. I have a quick question that perhaps you could inform your viewers. Making your choise on either 24volt system or a 48 volt system? You have travelled quite extensively and I wonder what the most common boat volatge system is around the world - and getting things like parts/ having something serviced by an expert etc.

I wonder if they realised what letting you in to film on a regular basis would be like? - No other manufacturer has ever, as far as I know, given a customer such free access, I understand that its more than a simple Builder/Client relationship - any signs yet that they are regretting agreeing to such an indepth series...!!! best wishes and keep reporting progress.

Nick, who noticed that the anchor box was too small first? You or the builders? Surely it must be enlightening for the builders to have another experienced (and motivated) sailor around to evaluate the build? Things should begin to move more quickly now. While I know the design of the boat is set in stone, and as you know, I'm not a sailor and if you remember, I have a serious fondness for Privilege Yachts, I do have a question for you. That 4 x 6 space in the middle of the bow, could have been been sectioned off and then used to expand the width of the forward staterooms, particularly where the beds are, to move the beds further towards the centerline of the yacht, giving you more room in the cabins? It may not be possible, I can't really grasp the way the yacht is laid out, but I'm curious.
Also, I would assume you're probably a couple of weeks behind on the videos, doing the editing and such, but do you have an expected rough date for completion?
Finally, Nikki and Jason have announced Curiosity is up for sale. Did you get them a deal on Hull number 3? LOL
