I like the little bit of Vietnam after the boat update. It is a place I will probably never see for myself and your perspective isn't an over produced documentary. It's just life and great to see.
Wake up. A quick wash. Go for morning coffee (LOCAL coffee). Dicker for stunning flowers. Back to home or possibly stop at café for local equivalent of fish/chicken congee (porridge). Eat. Begin work, filming, editing, speaking with family/friends/business associates. Research, research, research. Look at RR2 in progress!! All in all, you share EVERYTHING with us and I am very appreciative. The focus of your amazing videos, currently, is Ruby Rose Two, which shows your dedication to design philosophy, construction, technical awareness, aesthetics and learning as much as possible. I was lucky enough to have sailed quite a bit when young. Dad was from the Netherlands and owned a large schooner. We sailed from San Francisco to Oceania a few times, so I have a bit of familiarity with everything which you've been sharing, and I love it. You and a few other channels have also inspired me to begin working with a naval architect on the design a new boat to be built, and is the other reason why I watch you and Terysa, as well as other channels, so avidly, picking up gems of wisdom in order to proceed with confidence and excitement. Thank you for everything which you have been doing!
RR2 seems so massive. Maneuvering her around the docks is going to be interesting to watch. I really appreciate the glimpses of life in Vietnam. Please keep them coming! I’m also very impressed with the effort you’ve made to learn the language. The subtitles really added to the video. Thanks, and hope all have a great day!
It is hard to please everyone. Thank you for the effort. I love the boat build. I love the construction aspect and trying to picture the end result. The motorbike drive added depth, socialization, and foreign language, and who knew you would purchase flowers for yourself? I'd love to see the chicken and where he lives. RR2 is coming along nicely. She's a beast. 💐
I also like the combination of boat building progress and life in Vietnam. Viewers can pick and choose what sections to watch. In addition, I'd love to see more video of going out for dinner and drinks. It's hard to go wrong with food videos!
The life in Vietnam portion of the video was fun, but I still enjoy the boat building portions the best. It is so rare to get the see the inner workings of how a boat is created and the thought process that goes into this.
Agreed. There are countless channels with fast spliced doorlatchclosing-elevatorride-dooropening-dashboard-coffeepoured-backonascooter-morekeysinlocks-cuttingsomething videos. The detail of this build is truly unique content. Also looking forward to seeing how she sails.
You know, I hadn't thought of it but I was getting a bit bored by the boat build as well. Watching you buy flowers on a scooter was actually pretty interesting. I understand that you've got to show us what happens, and most of life isn't actually TH-cam worthy, but I'm in favor of this new direction of including your random day-to-day in Vietnam. It puts the You in TH-cam for the rest of us.
I'd echo what most people say - just do what makes you guys happy, we're along for the ride! I'm particularly enjoying your experiences & lifestyle in Vietnam, along with embracing the build, the people doing it & you immersing yourself in the language. Wonderful stuff stay well! 🙏✌️👍
I think Nick ran out of superlatives trying to describe how big the cockpit and salon are... LOL I really enjoy seeing the snippets of your life in Vietnam as well. Nick's comfort with the language is also super awesome, it must have taken a lot of practice to get the tonal stuff as well, since most Western languages don't use it.
love your videos, including your visiting Vietnam, I was there in 63 and 68-69 in different circumstances and thanks to you I will visit the place again
"Today is actually a boring day"! OMG! It would be instead our exciting day with a cup of coffee, a bunch of red flowers, and the freedom in riding a motorbike.
No matter what people say Nick, your videos about the process of RR2 are OUTSTANDING! I know that the previous monohull videos are basically “fillers”(since we’ve agreed on catamarans), and that without Terysa the videotaping, editing, etc. is way too much for you alone. Nonetheless, thanks for coming back to the factory. The Vietnam sights are also cool 😎
Loved the life in Vietnam footage. I would hate the noise, congestion, traffic, overcrowding and the horrid weather but watching it from the comfort of my sweet cabin in the woods feels nice.
Hey Nick, I can appreciate that some folks don't care about the build, but like you, I'm a bit of a nerd. The design and the way these boats go together is a huge deal when it comes to performance and safety. If folks out there are ever going to buy a boat, it's great info to have. On the other hand, one thing that amazes me is how fast you've picked up Vietnamese! Can you show us what tutorials (or classes) you've used / taken and how much it takes to get things across - it's got to be very challenging.
This is the way it is: For now I am absolutely saturated of being shown boats, which is why I was happy today that this was actually about the build and about Viet Nam. Being subscribed to a channel does not necessarily mean I watch all their videos. But when videos become interesting for me again (as they did with this one) I’m on again. Of course for someone who isn’t into the building thing, it is a long dry stretch till launch! But yes, I do enjoy you showing aspects of your life there! Keep up the mix! And the more realistic images/impressions you can bring of how people (not boating Westerners, but Vietnamese people) live, the more we can understand the culture. Living with chickens in a flat sounds … interesting! Although I am sure there will then be complaints about animal rights and stuff - but my vote is: bring it!
From one cruiser to another, I think it may be important to stick to what you value first, second as a creator. What you build as a platform is important to what kind of viewer you reach and ultimately the product. “If you build it, they will come”. If you think you’re most effective with the “how this bulkhead is laid crowd” and not “what did you have for breakfast”, stick to that steadfast and don’t feel the need to cater. Take care folks, see out there.
Like how nick shows his respect to the Vietnamese culture by speaking some of the language. If nick is using an app, hopefully they'll sponsor one or more of his vlogs so nick can share what he uses. Please more travel tips , do's and don'ts, how to pick places to eat , and some impressions on the climate . Also , please share what skill challenges there will be going from a mono-haul to a cat.
I re-subscribed after you gave us a look at life in Vietnam. I’m thrilled your new boat is being built - albeit SLOWLY - the details and updates of which are - respectively - quite stodgy. My country was at war with Vietnam - wrongly - and I’m fascinated how the people, culture and economy have progressed. I’ll take the five or so minutes of your posts to learn more about that. Do you ever talk to the workers building your boat? Not management, but the guys and gals doing the work? What are their lives like? Hope Terysa gets back soon and can show how women fair in Vietnam. Be safe over the and stay healthy! 👍👏🌹
Good video. Yes, more about your daily lives please. And we don’t mind the noise in the background at all. That’s part of showing us what it’s like to be there.
Thank you for the effort filming some snippets of your life in Vietnam Nick, its really appreciated... 😁😉Keep it up!😁😉RR 2 is looking amazing so far! 👌🍺
We love the detailed boatbuilding videos! Priceless. A little snippet of life in Vietnam is interesting too. Language lessons great. When Terressa was with you I think you also showed yourselves out and dining etc. so think you have had a good balance! There are plenty of pure travel channels out there. Indigo traveler is our favourite. He did one on Vietnam. Once you launch, there will be mostly travel footage which is why we watch yachting videos. Tks Nick. Regards Murray and Jean
Thanks Nic, I’m kind of with the chic I do enjoy your boat building but seeing everyday life in a foreign country is also enjoyable. Please don’t take this as an entitled prog meaning me. I can appreciate the hard work that you and your Miss put into these videos. So thanks again.
Really enjoy watching the boat build but, I too would like to see more of the everyday life/cultural aspects of your time in Vietnam, and all the other countries you and Terysa travel to. Yes, it's a sailing channel, but having half/half of sailing (or boat build for the time being) and showing more of the culture (the real stuff, not the boring usual touristy stuff) would be great. The Wynns are the only channel which, I think, have struck the perfect balance doing that. Btw, I am grateful to you both for the time and effort you put into making these videos, which are free for us TH-camrs to watch! ;) PS. hope your eyes are better now
I want to see more of the Boat building. How they put it together and far it out. How and where the electrical goes and the plumbing of the boat. And the engines going in. And how the furniture is made and installed. Thats what I would like to see. So Thank You so much for what you have shown so far and keep up the good work. Ok until next week. Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii.
Most interested in the boat build, but I really enjoyed the snippet of ‘real Vietnam’ at the end too, helped provide a similar balance to sailing + visiting places that we’ve seen in the past / will hopefully see in the future…
Thanks, Chick Flick Cherry. I too was/am getting bored of boat build videos and was wondering why RR wasn’t showing hardly any Vietnam. I mean, you’re in an exotic location after all and a travel / sailing channel. Please and thank you.
Obviously I enjoy seeing aspects of your life and travels but the boat build and your sailing knowledge (and experiences) is a big draw card of your channel. It’s something interesting and different to my life so it’s fun to watch. Thanks for the great content always ❤
Nick, it's so funny, but- I turn off the videos where you & Therysa go out to dinner, show off the pretty food, etc...Hahaha- I'm sooo into the build, I could watch for hours and never, ever get bored! So, I am completely opposite to 'Chocolate covered cherry' when it comes to watching the videos! Hey, different strokes for different folks. I appreciate that you separate the boat build from the lifestyle stuff- easy to switch away when I get bored. Thanks again for immersion into both- just thought you'd enjoy BOTH sides! Be safe & please- keep it coming!
Definitely lean towards the boat building..What a great boat that is going to be for you two! Also enjoy the day in the life in Vietnam. I think its a good mix for your videos.
OK - life is also important and I enjoyed your drive. Thankfully no food - since I always get jealous seeing what you served (mouth dropping) 😉 Thank you for the update. I'm an technic guy so I was waiting for! I expect you learned some of the language - was it difficult? I feel that respectful to the people.
As long as I get to tagalong with you fine amazing people whether it’s building a boat climbing a mountain or just sweating profusely picking up flowers I absolutely adore your content lol 😂 And I will always be excited to watch the next video
Great episode. As a former expat I love seeing life in Vietnam from your vantage point. What might be mundane for you guys is often really fun to watch! Take us on a grocery shop next time!
I spent a week in vietnam 1 month before covid hit. I loved it there and could live there easily. I do like the boat build but got to admit love the area better... DO BOTH. lol
More vids about the boat build less of other production boats. Maybe some stuff on how bulk heads break and what manufacturers are doing to strengthen their boats or what we should know?
I'm assuming you're referring to parlay revival's experiences? We do pepper our content with a lot of details on boat building processes, materials and techniques but yes, we could look at doing an episode that's more dedicated. Will have a think about best way of doing this. cheers.
Rule 1 of shopping in Vietnam- never get off bike. WHY? Interesting. Love the vids, interesting see the boat come together. One hell of a jigsaw puzzle. Looks huge at this stage. Wonder how much "depth" we will lose once cabin roof and windows, furnishings and galley all installed. Well done guys.
Your Vietnamese is pretty good. You're very brave riding motorcycle there. I'd love to see the night life around where you're staying. It's exciting to see your boat is taking shape.
I'm happy to see the build, its your channel and you have built it on what you believed would be interesting viewing , so why change ? 99% of us subscribers love what you do and do well
Dear GOD! Seriously chick flick cherry. Obviously not planning to sail anytime soon. I absolutely love the boat build videos. It’s so hard to get my head around all the technical parts of a boat build, but you kid’s do an amazing job walking us through. My dream is to hopefully have a boat life, so please keep inspiring me.⛵️🌏🥽💦🤿🐠🎣🐚🌴☀️🇦🇺
Interesting Nick, and thank you for the view of Vietnam. I do find it interesting that a straight man would buy flowers for his apartment and not his wife or girlfriend. Not knocking the purchase at all. Very tender.
Boat build is amazing. But, the glimpse into life in Vietnamese culture is amazing. Nothing is mundane or boring, especially since a lot of us may not get to expeience. I have type 1 diabetes, what is pharmacy and medical care like and access for non citizens?
Thanks for the look at Vietnam today. Very different from the Vietnam I remember from news footage. Good on you for trying to learn the language. I too skipped a lot of the design videos..... whoops. I hope they finish your boat soon. You guys are so excited about it. Can't wait to see your dream come true.
Thanks for this, as others have mentioned, it is nice to see the life aspect. My wife and I will be retiring early and spending seasons abroad, living as opposed to vacationing so it is nice to see! I used to work for Neilson so will be pulling in favours all over the world and who knows, Vietnam looks like a good candidate! :)
I'd rather see just the boat building rather than dinner after dinner after dinner out on the streets. But that's just me. I will continue watching regardless.
I enjoyed both portions of the video. As RR2 is going to be your home, I am very interested in all aspects of its build and features. On the other hand I do like seeing clips of your life in Vietnam. All of your videos have been very entertaining. Nice editing job. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for the life in Vietnam content! I too don't enjoy boat builds. I'll start paying more attention now that you are doing more than build updates. Looking forward to seeing RR2 out.
I'm most interested in the build of the new boat. The life in Vietnam is also very interesting. The boat reviews are not interesting now that you have made your selection. Your new boat looks amazing, I love it. This will be a tremendous boat. It's funny that at least 4 TH-cam channels are all building new boats.
I think they are just killing time on the reviews to save the channel while not sailing… but I agree… why? Why not go home and enjoy life together… but that’s me
I like both the boat build because who ever gets to see this stuff? But I also like learning about what it’s like to live in Vietnam not just visit. How long have you been learning Vietnamese? It sounds like you can really communicate. Recently watched one of your sail trim videos which helped us get a broaching problem under control. Thanks! Keep it up! ⛵️🤩👍🏻
Yes! The channel KINGINGIT is riding motor bikes in Vietnam. Their last took my breathe away with the mountains and the culture. I would like to go there now! Thanks for the update! The boat build is looking good!
I like the little bit of Vietnam after the boat update. It is a place I will probably never see for myself and your perspective isn't an over produced documentary. It's just life and great to see.

Yes, it's going to be a bit of a learning curve when we take delivery!
It is hard to please everyone. Thank you for the effort. I love the boat build. I love the construction aspect and trying to picture the end result. Thanks Jess 😊 Lots of boat building stuff coming up, especially for you Patrons ❤️
Agreed. There are countless channels with fast spliced doorlatchclosing-elevatorride-dooropening-dashboard-coffeepoured-backonascooter-morekeysinlocks-cuttingsomething videos. The detail of this build is truly unique content. Also looking forward to seeing how she sails.
Great video. I like boat building content and life in Vietnam content, can't go wrong with either in my opinion.

Absolutely fantastic. Wow, Nick. What an episode.

Yeah, he's a real parrot. Very good at languages and accents and music etc.
Rick running out of superlatives?....😁
love your videos, including your visiting Vietnam, I was there in 63 and 68-69 in different circumstances and thanks to you I will visit the place again
also, I love the boat building. But the glimpses of life in Vietnam are amazing as well.

I love both portions of this video. I like to see how the boat is coming along and love to see where you are living.
I love both the build and private life, bc I do love travel, it's why I watch your channel.
So thanks for the new segment, doing wonderful.
impressive Vietnamese! boat building is interesting and daily life in Vietnam. all good. Greetings from Iceland
love the blend of build and daily life. Have fun

I do love Saigon, super-vibrant.
We would like to see more of Vietnam!

I really love when you film some of the delicious food you get to eat everyday!! I still like the boat stuff though!
Cheers mate 😊
Top notch boat build! Glad your back documenting the process! Cheers!
I like the boat build stuff but a bit of what happens around the area and the culture is a nice touch.
I re-subscribed after you gave us a look at life in Vietnam. I’m thrilled your new boat is being built - albeit SLOWLY - the details and updates of which are - respectively - quite stodgy. No complaints from us!!!👏👍👌🫶🐨
Good to see you back at the build. Some of the meals you have would be nice as well.
I really loved the portion at the end regarding life in Vietnam. Would love to see any forest/beach walks or exploring that you do.
We love the detailed boatbuilding videos! Priceless. A little snippet of life in Vietnam is interesting too. Language lessons great. When Terressa was with you I think you also showed yourselves out and dining etc. so think you have had a good balance! There are plenty of pure travel channels out there. I think both the boat build and the Vietnamese culture and daily life view are quite interesting.
Thanks Nic, I’m kind of with the chic I do enjoy your boat building but seeing everyday life in a foreign country is also enjoyable. Please don’t take this as an entitled prog meaning me. I can appreciate the hard work that you and your Miss put into these videos. So thanks again.
good idea! show us more of your life in vietnam!! THX
Love the boat build series, l think 70:30 ratio would be good.
The build of RR2 is very cool, but sharing your other adventures is great.
Thank you buddy
Great to see the progress on the new boat. Can’t please all the people all of the time. I find ALL of your episodes very entertaining. 👍
🙏
Really enjoy watching the boat build but, I too would like to see more of the everyday life/cultural aspects of your time in Vietnam, and all the other countries you and Terysa travel to. Yes, it's a sailing channel, but having half/half of sailing (or boat build for the time being) and showing more of the culture (the real stuff, not the boring usual touristy stuff) would be great. The Wynns are the only channel which, I think, have struck the perfect balance doing that. Btw, I am grateful to you both for the time and effort you put into making these videos, which are free for us TH-camrs to watch! ;)
PS. hope your eyes are better now
Yes, definitely more of daily life! I've spent years in shipyards and pretty much know the drill now ;-)
Really enjoyed the snippet about everyday life over there. Always interesting to see how others live!
Part of the appeal of sailing channels is the adventure of experiencing new cultures, exploring their history and their lives. Very interesting, IMHO.
🙏
I'm fascinated by the boat construction, but also by the change in Nicks voice when he speaks Vietnamese?
He's been learning for a year now and he's incredibly good.
I for one love the boat building. Great channel, thanks for the content!
Thanks, Chick Flick Cherry. I too was/am getting bored of boat build videos and was wondering why RR wasn’t showing hardly any Vietnam. I mean, you’re in an exotic location after all and a travel / sailing channel. Please and thank you.

Sweet home, Wow!
Nick, it's so funny, but- I turn off the videos where you & Therysa go out to dinner, show off the pretty food, etc...Hahaha- I'm sooo into the build, I could watch for hours and never, ever get bored! Be safe & please- keep it coming!
Lol, thanks David! Glad you're loving the boat build stuff 😊
I really enjoy the detailed boat building vids. AND I enjoy the life in Vietnam clips. Looks like such a cool place (metaphorically). So keep both.
Show us it all, to see places that we might never see ourselves is cool, and so film anything interesting
Nick the boat building has been really great, Keep those coming! I am really impressed of your effort to interact with the local community!
Definitely lean towards the boat building..What a great boat that is going to be for you two! Also enjoy the day in the life in Vietnam. I think its a good mix for your videos.
Brilliant view of the project. You make the whole process fascinating.
OK - life is also important and I enjoyed your drive. Thankfully no food - since I always get jealous seeing what you served (mouth dropping) 😉
Thank you for the update. I'm an technic guy so I was waiting for!
I expect you learned some of the language - was it difficult? I feel that respectful to the people.
Flowers? Nick you must be expecting Terysa back....LOL
Oh, Congratulations, the boat looks like it's coming along VERY nicely!
I have been hoping for more “life in Vietnam” content
Thank you
Thank you, chickflick cherry! I'm too getting kind of borde of all these building stuff. Culture is really fun! /Catta
love and miss you guys..... if i could fast forward i would, your peeps are very excited for RR2 : ) Hugs from the US
As long as I get to tagalong with you fine amazing people whether it’s building a boat climbing a mountain or just sweating profusely picking up flowers I absolutely adore your content lol 😂 And I will always be excited to watch the next video
Hey, I am enjoying the boat build, but the addition of life in Vietnamese great looking forwardeo see more of the Vietnamese culture, thanks!
Love the HH44, that is truest innovative boat
Way to go adapting to your comments! You guys rock!
DO BOTH. lol
Are you picking up the language just on your own or do you take online courses? I'm quite impressed at how well Nick does at language.
Very intelligently designed, encapsulating ERGONOMICS to the Max! 👏👏👏
Thanks Nick great vid. love the build
More vids about the boat build less of other production boats. Maybe some stuff on how bulk heads break and what manufacturers are doing to strengthen their boats or what we should know?
Bulk heads break on crappy condomarans that are built for the U.S. Bahamas charter market
I'm assuming you're referring to parlay revival's experiences? We do pepper our content with a lot of details on boat building processes, materials and techniques but yes, we could look at doing an episode that's more dedicated. Will have a think about best way of doing this. cheers.
@@sailingrubyrose thanks for replying. Nahoa at present are now very worried in the Indian Ocean. I hope they get to a safe port with their kids

Beautiful episode, love the spice of life in Vietnam. Love that you’ve taken the time to learn some Vietnamese as well!
🙏
Thanks for the look at Vietnam today. Very different from the Vietnam I remember from news footage. Good on you for trying to learn the language. I too skipped a lot of the design videos..... whoops. I hope they finish your boat soon. You guys are so excited about it. Can't wait to see your dream come true.
Love the boat build but also would love to see more of Vietnam
Thanks for this, as others have mentioned, it is nice to see the life aspect. My wife and I will be retiring early and spending seasons abroad, living as opposed to vacationing so it is nice to see! I used to work for Neilson so will be pulling in favours all over the world and who knows, Vietnam looks like a good candidate! :)
I'd rather see just the boat building rather than dinner after dinner after dinner out on the streets.
But that's just me. I will continue watching regardless.
🙏
that is actually very good to see, liked it.
Amazing boat build. 💐👍🦅🇺🇸😎
love it.
I enjoyed both portions of the video. As RR2 is going to be your home, I am very interested in all aspects of its build and features. On the other hand I do like seeing clips of your life in Vietnam. All of your videos have been very entertaining. Nice editing job. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Brian!
Thanks! Keep it up! ⛵️🤩👍🏻
Glad it was useful!
Would love to see a food shopping video.
Love it
Cool video
Looking forward for more videos 📹 😀
I have to say, i enjoy the blend of build and local living. Are there any botanic gardens there? They would please the gardeners on here😂. Thanks.
Yes! The channel KINGINGIT is riding motor bikes in Vietnam. Their last took my breathe away with the mountains and the culture. I would like to go there now! Thanks for the update! The boat build is looking good!
Thanks Trish! Will check them out 😊
It’s KINGINGIT! Not killing it!
Part of the sailing life is showing the areas you visit as many people will never visit them. Just doing a walk and see is great. Enjoy!
Love the life vlogs! Keep them going
