I remember a comment that went somewhat like this: People in 1980s: When AI has been developed enough it will do all our boring jobs and we can focus or making art and things we like to do. AI in 2020s: *makes art so people can focus on their boring jobs*
Here's an old joke: We got intelligent phone, intelligent car, intelligent freezer, intelligent coffee maker and on and on. So were are the intelligent people? Like economy, gap between high and low intelligence is getting wider and wider, and schools are not helping to level things out because they care more about not offending the minority of the minorities.
We gave ourselves to it. For example we used to have to memorize all our friends and family's phone numbers. Now I can't even be 100% sure of my own number and look it up just in case
Artist here... all I could say about AI is it makes the task unrewarding mechanical and boring.... I love taking my time making different iterations making mistakes and finally finding what I like and settling on it. this takes all the fun and any discovery out of Art which is one of the greatest motivations for an artist to do their work

but that is your point as an artist, the people who buy or view your art will likely just see the outcome and if the result of AI and an actual artist is the same, a human being would sadly still lose in the end, or not?
Then don't use it? Clearly you don't feel it meets any needs you want met, so don't engage with it, you're free to do whatever you want. There are people like me who just need a character reference for DND, a scene of some interior because the player characters decided to go off on an unexpected adventure, or a basic world map outline to throw down the locations you have mapped out in some doc. In the example of a nautical pirate campaign, having something to generate a pirate ship sailing the seas during a timeskip/long travel is awesome. I don't want to pursue the "mistakes" and "discovery" of drawn/painted/etc art, my focus goes to writing and creating campaigns, and AI makes that a BLAST.
I can't wait to see them try and express that "stop worrying about your insecurities" campaign while throwing FAKE and literally PERFECT people in your face 😂😢

It's game over my friend. Our power now lies within the integration of these systems within specific work flows. Or, just walk away and develop other skills. Regarding art - the market is absolutely saturated and has been for many years. I have little interest nowadays, beyond supporting two friends who rely on my composition skills.
Why be terrified, as an artist I see many different avenues opening up because of Ai. While it is in its infancy, I believe it will come down to licensing and copyrights.
Artists being paid for their work is the equivalent to being paid for your gaming hobby, or your sport hobby. It's just time to get real about it: you were grossly privileged and now it's time to align with other hobby's difficulties to get by.

@@insideoutsideupsidedown2218 Maybe if the AI has more of a human personality, however that is not really conclusive as we do not really know what a AI would actually do in that situation. My belief would be that it would try and form a hive mind between different AI models to improve itself over rapid generational succession. The difference between one program and another is the code that is entered in after all. It would make sense that if it was an actual intelligence that it would try and better itself in some way shape or form. This of course is all sci fi hypothecating which all to soon will become reality in one way or another if it isn't stopped by prudence or force.
On that last point, gaming studios aren't backing off AI to protect artists, they're doing it because the legalities are still being sorted out and it's too risky to have a multi-million dollar production pulled during or after development. You can bet that once studios know it's safe, they'll be the first to replace their human artists with AI ones.
I worked for a popular health coaching company for 4 years, and was laid off this year (with a ton of other coaches) because they’re replacing human coaches with AI. It’s happening, folks. Even humans are being made obsolete in fields where human interaction is a main thing people are investing in.
That's because AI is cost effective. Automating services at the cost of human employment. Fast Food is replacing cashiers with Kiosks and the like. Convenience of service at the cost of people's work is going to always take jobs away. It's the price of innovation, sometimes for good, sometimes for ill. In the past, we saw the end of slavery not only by war, but also innovation. The Cotton Gin was a major player in this, as it was way easier to use, required far less maintenance than a human being, and was more economically friendly. It did cost people jobs, money, and people refusing to adapt and held onto slaves. But in the end, proved its worth over time.
@@Polomance862 The problem is now the required jump in skills, knowledge and intelligence to keep up with AI, as AI develops people wont be able to compete, what is a health coach supposed to retrain in to still have a job? What is the fast food employee supposed to retrain in? It was easier for workers in the past, they could retrain as technicians or similar, or get trained how to use the new machines, that isnt really the case anymore Not everyone can get a job that AI currently cant do, not everyone can be software developers or engineers. Human intelligence and skills have a limit, humans eventually wont be able to compete at all.
@@conorstewart2214 In an ideal world the gain in productivity from A.I displacing human jobs would lead to a point where less and less humans need to work (starting at the least capable / lowest IQ). They can still have a decent life provided by that increased productivity to compensate for their exclusion from being a cost-efficient worker. I think most people know how things will actually play out unfortunately. All or most of that increased productivity will be accumulated at the top and further the wealth gap. I’m a strong supporter of capitalism but automation has the potential to bring out the worst in humanity imo. If it were up to me all A.I would be banned or at least harshly regulated like some kind of luddite dream 😂.
Honestly, "too far" is nowhere near enough to express just how awful this is getting, Ai feeds into people's delusions (or well.. impression of reality... like with the models, it shows unrealistic figures) and it is making us apathetic , it's erasing our imagination and motivation to create.. yes inspiration will always exist.. as well as creative people, but it's all relating to how you'll go about expressing it... If you don't put your heart into an art piece, music, or whatever you may be making as a fellow creator, the final thing won't have a "soul", it won't speak to you, it won't tell you a story and it won't teach you anything or make you feel any type of way. It won't be fulfilling to the creator/artist or the audience/receiving end. Ai is cool as an idea and a tool, (it can help with *reconstructing* audio, video, pictures etc.) but just like with all things, if let loose and not used accordingly, it can cause chaos, frustration and confusion. To my fellow creative people, never stop imagining, never stop creating and never doubt your skills because of Ai.
You still gotta promp the Ai, try to find the best prompt, how do i word the prompt? Tell ai to redesign, pick the best one out there, etc, Ai is just a different tool that can help you create art. You still gotta do the input.
@@SheWolf_ArtGr Who are you to dictate what's proper and improper? You do you, and others will do what they want to, it's simple. What you deem "improper" I consider INSANELY useful for DND and RPing. I don't care for creating visual art, I much prefer writing to express my creativity. Therefor I don't care about the deeply personal and explorative process of creating my character reference or scene reference if needed, I'd much rather get that out of the way and then explore it by writing the story alongside my writing partner. You do you, and I will do I, but you will not hear me calling your process and/or means to an end "ImPrOpEr".
As someone who likes to draw, AI definitely put a damper on any aspirations I had to make a career out of it. "Making it" in art was already difficult, but the trivialization of the entire drawing process will probably make it impossible to monetize in the near future and beyond. I fully acknowledge that I will never be as detailed, fast, or even as creative as AI with near-infinite resources, and a turn-around time of a few seconds vs days for me. I have no intentions of resisting this new tech, it seems inevitable and pointless. Once a new thing is established, it's not going to go anywhere, no matter how much people complain. I don't have much interest in utilizing it either, I actually enjoy the struggle of drawing a new piece every time. I'll be a dinosaur compared to AI "artists", a novelty at best. It is what it is, and I'll just keep doing what I've always done: scribbling away at the next weird idea I want to draw.
Try to remind yourself that AI cannot create something new, it can only imitate. Machine learning is only as good as the number of sources available on the internet. The only thing which would hold you back from anything is yourself. While we move towards more accessibility, the human element will become far more desirable. Rather than viewing AI Art as something negative, utilize it as a way to form ideas and thoughts into something you can see. Do not replicate what was generated, use that as some conceptual piece. Again, AI cannot create anything new, it can only replicate, and imitate what real people have already created, and is out there on the web.

AI is both incredibly fascinating, and absolutely terrifying. I really don't know how to feel about it. I love technology but we have so many movies and books depicting societies in which AI goes horribly wrong. I'm intrigued.
It's a bit like flight, or sailing, many people died before it was as safe as it was for us today. We are no longer scared, while others back then saw it as "unnatural" etc.

My passion is in writing, and I’m terrified for the future of novels. It won’t be long until AI is able to write novels with perfectly formulated plot, emotional maturity, and overall quality. I’d like to believe that the novelty of something being created by a human being will always be more impressive, but I’m not so sure people will put their money where their mouths are and support authors over computers.
Well they will also be programmed to write woke nonsense and publish them. They talk about rewriting historic books soo… expect to only find that in book stores and you’ll have to shop differently like from your neighbors hoarding old books or stores that stand up to that ideology, wonder how many of those their will be. I’m sure the radicals will find ways to force those shops to close they think of everything to destroy the good you seek.

It's worse than even what you talked about. Because the ugly dark side of AI is that it cannot create anything on its own. It has to be 'trained' first. And its programmers 'train' it by stealing art from others without consent or credit to the original artist. They're especially bad about it with visual art, but it's starting to happen to writers who post online as well. It's absolutely disgusting what they're doing, but they don't care at all.

Except, its a legal grey area and not defined into fair use yet. The way people think it works : It takes small pieces of art from other art and mashes it together The way it actually works: It learns patterns from millions of images + labels (Aka they can learn the pattern that things labelled tree tend to be green, circular, with a brown rectangular shape coming from underneath). Once it has learnt all these patterns, it does NOT NEED the original images it learnt from anymore. It just uses the patterns it knows to create the image from whatever label you give it so if you say "Tree on beach" it will use the patterns it knows of what a tree is, patterns it knows of what a beach is, and patterns of what "Something ON Something" is and try to combine them This process is a digitised version of how humans learn as well, if you were born with no way to take in visual or linguistic information, and had no exposure to what a tree or beach was, you would find it hard pressed to draw one. Every piece humans create has its origin from somewhere, I can draw a tree because I have seen 1000s of trees in real life, and 100s of trees in paintings, yet I do not credit all those paintings.
@@ProductionsDiratia there are artists blind from birth who create incredibly detailed paintings, the reason most don't will be because it has no value to their lack of sight. Need other input to their senses, such as 3d, audio etc. Doesn't mean at all that they can't or have difficulty doing it. I have a blind from birth son who is extremely creative but chooses not to paint as it ends up as just a piece of canvas to him. Never underestimate the human brain.

As a 3D artist, this whole AI craze is scary. It takes me hours to days to even a week or more to do some art. The AI can do the same thing in minutes, and the sad thing is that people won't care where the art comes from. Artists will never be able to keep up. So, if its a money thing, digital artists are in trouble.
It can do the work pretty quick but when it comes to coming up with new things and having the art be fun in the first place it takes everything out of that and turns the fucking thing into a soulless desk job
Computer Science student here, and at my university I have been involved in research into various different methods to generate mri brain images, since medical data is one of the few heavily regulated forms of data and is only available in small amounts. The purpose of the research is to determine which model can supplement real images the best to help train early warning systems for brain cancer detection. During this, I have been educated a lot on deep learning and general ai concepts. One of the major take-always for me was that there has to be some input in order for these models to be developed, meaning that if the data was controlled by the individual , people’s data would be much less likely to be used in a way they disagree with, such as with AI art. Overall, I believe that the best approach to this whole issue is to push for a right to our own data, since that is the crucial aspect that can enable AI and machine learning to advance unchecked, while still allowing for technological advancements to be made. If anyone wants, I’d be happy to talk about my research in detail or just discuss this topic further, since I believe I have a fair amount more knowledge, having learned cs as AI has began to expand.
As a gamer I saw this coming as well, not to long ago (I think a week back), Ubisoft has announced that they have patented an AI script writing assistant tool. At the moment it's focusing on barks in game (random dialogue and noices heard from NPC's) and the script writers are supposed to change it to be more suitable for usage in game. But knowing the industry, it's only a matter of time until it's used to cut corners to save money on hiring script writers.
I have been in the "data industry" for two decades now. AI is turning into both a dream and a nightmare. For years the work that I did (data engineering) felt not optimal. So I find it amazing that AI will be able to do my job in about 5 years time. But it also freaks me out, because 50% of the working population is about to become obsolete... and they don't realize it......
I was a graphic artist in the music industry for 13 years. I’ve played around with some of the AI stuff. It’s got a little ways to go before it can replace a real graphics guy for album art but it’s getting close. I’m glad I shifted gears and went into video production a few years ago.
@@AtomicVertigo_Comics thankfully I don't think AI can replicate what I'm doing right now. I produce a cooking show, and make content for the fishing industry. Graphic design was my bread and butter for many years though. I'd be sweating hard if it was still my main source of income.
I’ve been doing art my entire life and I’m mediocre at best, the idea that a program can cram out who knows how many paintings consistently At qualities far beyond what I’ll ever be capable of is terrifying. I thought I’m young I’m getting better every day but at this point what’s the point. I’m studying architecture and tbh by the time I graduate AI will probably be designing buildings too.
Technically, automation of architectural objects are already a thing. CAD software is already generating 3D models based of drawings, so with AI integration, you'd just need to know which architectural terminology to input and it will create whatever you want in minutes (if even that long). And that's before the technology matures to the point where not even needing to know architectural terminology is necessary (like what you have already seen with progamming and drag and drop web designers happening).
The really scary part is it's not just affecting models and art. Retailers and blue collar employers are looking to intergrate AI into warehouses, retail and food service. It's all in talks everyone is looking to replace actual people with AI somewhere.

There can never be too much PREP!!! We've done it for years and a few times we've HAD to use a good amount of our products, whether it was us using it, or sharing it, or we got caught when things got low and we couldn't get to the store. Having the freeze dried and canned goods is definitely a huge peace of mind! Get to prepping!!!
I love the idea of a catwalk of designer clothes on AI models, that are my exact size and shape. There is nothing worse, than seeing an item, that looks fabulous on a model, but looks terrible when I wear it.
As someone who had been practicing to become an illustrator and stop motion animator, the rapid development of AI was the breaking point for me. It was already difficult to earn a living as an artist when the internet allows every amateur to call themselves one, in addition to fostering the expectation that creative content should be free or close to free. With the rise of AI, I had to put my aspirations aside and try to look for a job elsewhere as quickly as possible. I still believe in the value of human creativity, but having not yet established myself in the art world, the future is bleak. The future of art is a big question mark, and jobs that used to tide struggling artists over are increasingly automated. I cannot, as a responsible adult, make such a gamble when the odds are stacked so high against me. I will still make art, but as a passionate side hustle. However, I think that every crisis is an opportunity. I think that humans will somehow find a way to create that is irreplaceable by AI, just like how painting transformed with the invention of photography. The first artist to do so would rise like a rocket. Also, there would be more value placed on human art with traditional, tangible mediums. Just my thoughts😊 (Sorry, English is not my first language)
As a 3D artist I feel the same way. I have been doing 3D art for around 6 years now, and am always learning more. But I see AI art pop up now that is better then my art and done in seconds. But that is not why I hate AI art. I hate it because it straight up steals all art on the Internet. It has no qualms about it and no one has to say where the art is stolen from. No AI will ever say what art they stole either, and people don't care. So, the art I do could easily be stolen and used by AI, and I would never get credit for it.
@@shayliakara I also hate it, and I admit that I had a breakdown when I first learned of it. Sadly, I do not see a way to reverse the effects. The technology is already here. As artists fight for regulations, I think that it is also crucial to find a way to adapt to AI. Denial has never gotten anyone anywhere (unfortunately).
@@shayliakara AI models don't steal anything. That's a lie made up by people that are ridiculously scared of AI art model generators. I recommend looking into the process of how AI creates the art. There are many great articles and videos on how Stable Diffusion works.

As a Game Developer, I am so proud to be a part of an industry that protects creatives. Also, AI art is illegible for copyright protection, hence its reasoning for banning in our industry.

Not gonna lie I'm actually terrified at the idea that AI is taking way jobs from real artist. To some degree, yeah, it is inventible with the fast growing technology in our world, but gosh this is so depressing. As a teen, I really want to go to Art school and be an animator, but now I don't know if the future that I want is stable☹☹
It's not just art. I work in accounting and I'm genuinely worried for the future of my job. There is very little with respect to most careers that AI won't eventually be able to do.
Art majors have been struggling for years. Only do art as a minor and go study something else as your major that can really have an impact, like finance or engineering or medical etc. Even majoring in business and economics is better.
It’s not just artists, many laptop class jobs will see this take a bite out of the numbers needed to be employed, an ad department can go from 15 to 2 people for example, accountants, programmers, customer service/support, utility operators, some levels of engineers, journalists, analysts, software developers, graphic designers, architects, side hustle economy, you name it. The numbers of employees required in each of these and much, much more, will be taking a huge dive very soon, 5-10 years, everything will look drastically different. AI is not developing at a linear rate it’s under exponential development in capabilities currently.

This is basically just like Carole and Tuesday, where AI becomes an enssential part of human society ranging from pets, transportation, communication, politics, etc. In this anime, it mainly focuses on the pros & cons of AI dominating the music industry including the future of humans who live on earth & mars. Not only is the story telling of Carole and Tuesday worth watching, all the songs sung by the two main characters- who produce their music with their own talent - are beautiful to listen to.
When I heard ai was replacing creative artists thought I was hearing things. I was pretty shocked like I thought we wouldn’t become this advanced as a whole right now but here we are. You are not gonna be replaced, don't worry. If you like it, just keep drawing. The AI are gonna affect the financial part of art, that's something I can't deny, but Art is about you, and expressing yourself through it, so if you feel like drawing better and better is what you want, then do it. This commes from someone who actually likes what AI has become capable of doing over time. Don't give up, keep at it if it makes you happy.

Tbh, I get her point about art and stuff, but I know online clothes shopping would be a whole lot easier if you could see what clothes would look like on you and not a random person that doesn't have your same height or bodyweight. That way, you could see what cuts and whatnot would generally look good without having to order it. Using AI for this would just mean modeling would become more specialized and competitive. But tbh I don't have a problem with that. I did a bit of modeling in my late teens/early twenties and it's really a toxic industry the higher up you go. It gets to the point where you can't climb any higher without plastic surgery and a whole bunch of nonsense. I do think that AI could never replace true art, but of all the art forms, I care for modeling the least. 😂
Depends on who you ask. There are those within the art community who view AI Art Generated images as some gateway, delving into illustration and arts. Artists also use AI Art to generate a conceptual idea, generating that into something tangible, and working off that. Others generate landscapes, and backgrounds, and insert portraits, characters, and photographs into the generated image. Not everyone within that community views AI as some lurking threat, and if anything, real artists will become more valuable since AI cannot create anything NEW and can only imitate. Where my acceptance of AI falls off are the AI Companion Apps, exploiting loneliness, anxiety, depression, and preying on a generation who's had over two years of life experience, stripped away. So many young teens/young adults, especially males, have enough to deal with far-left ideologies, the Tate Sigma Male Chuds, and the out-of-reach expectations for physical appearance. There'll always be a demand for the human element because humans can create new experiences, but AI cannot, and AI should exist in tandem with humans, not replace them.
Kinda like being the leader of a country, you have an Army and you have nukes and you have the ability to use them but should you use them? Probably not or you come to a conclusion that you have to use them because you used every tool and idea to promote peace or you just want to go to war. Tl;Dr just because you can that doesn’t mean you should.
What the clothes designers should do to use their tool better is for you to have your exact body digitized so you can look at all clothes on a runway being worn by you so you can see what they look like on you ( perfectly tailored) until you find one that looks right for you. Naturally, then the dress can be assembled to order by robots and delivered the next day.
Just wait until you watch a facetime of AI pretending to be you. Talking to your mother. Ai wants to be YOU. Wait until every advertisement is personalized and addressed to you.

There needs to be intense regulations placed on these programs now or else they are going to lead to untold misery in the coming decades. If they're used as I suspect - that is as a replacement for artists and low-skilled labour - it will be the death blow to true culture and the final destruction of the middle class. Creatives will be cast into despair (trait openness necessitates the act of creation, which I surmise would be nearly impossible in this new dystopia), and everyone not fortunate enough to be in the upper economic brackets will descend into destitution. If AI is not regulated, it could - without exaggeration - lead to social breakdown and either the rise of neocommunism or the collapse of western civilization. I propose that the items are limited to tools through legislation, where the "productions" of these programs cannot be sold, but only modified or used as a small part of a final product. Something in this vein has a chance to sidestep the issues I present, but unregulated AI can only lead to disaster.
@@FronteirWolf That assumes most people would care about the distinction. I genuinely believe that a lot (if not most) people would say something along the lines of "whatever, it's all the same". Meanwhile, people who do things without AI will be called greedy for charging more (which they have to do anyway, because it's more difficult and time consuming).

But as an artist I would like to make several important points here for you: 1) The AI Art trend is just going to make live performances, especially acoustic ones, and authentic visual art (physical paintings, mixed media work) more valuable. Also, I always enjoy when people watch me sketching and painting live. They clearly enjoy seeing the very human process of creating art! 2)AI Art can be a tool for artists to use in the creative process, in much the same way that photography can be. 3) In terms of volume, artificial creations or cheap reproductions have always dominated due to economic reality. 4) There are artists who are truly creative and original, and then there are artists who are derivative - they imitate other artists and styles. Then there are artists who are more like craftsmen/artisans. These latter types may lose business, but then again maybe they'll get more business as they can quickly produce reproductions that have brushstrokes created by a human hand. Just look at how graphic design and sign-making has evolved over time. There are still people today who do things "the old fashioned" way due to niche markets and demand from hipsters. 5) Many poems are in fact "algorithmic." Over human history and across cultures very specific formulations, or recipes, have been devised for making certain types of poems (e.x. haiku, sonnet, acrostic, limerick).
Thank you for talking about this! "Traditional" artists (or human artists) will only be the first to suffer this....exploitation of technology to make profit for a certain group of people. Other professions will come next. Like, who needs art teachers if any humans can just turn on some apps, make some sketchy lines or type a few keywords, and ta-da! Art, art, and art, bam, bam, bam! I tried an Art making AI app before and got super bored pretty fast, like, within 3 hours. Maybe it was because I didn't intend to make money out of it, but mostly because what came out didn't fit my imagination when I typed the keywords in at all. Most importantly, looking nice or not, those WERE NOT MY art, simply so. And the same is happening to music and performers, writing and writers, and many more job fields eventually will be affected if we don't draw a line soon.

@@xandercruz900 I will be 20 this year and back in the 2000s and the early 2010s, I didn’t have a computer or an Xbox or a phone. I remember trying hold my MP3 player just right on the bus to receive the radio station I was listening to. Yes, my MP3 player could play radio stations. As for the first quote, I don’t think it’s that outlandish to think that AI and computers will surpass humans in intelligence and take over. This is heartbreaking, I'm 16 and all my life I wanted to be an artist, when I was 12 I discovered digital art and I fell in love with that art form But know, what's the point? A computer is creating art in 2 seconds and it's free. I wanted to be a digital artist but now I feel forced to be something else
My advice? Learn to specialize in some kind of art form. That way, you're creating at least a limited lifespan for your career as an artist. If that involves creating art features for AI tools, you are even in a BETTER position than those who don't.
I'm a writer and honestly think this will be a fad. We can grow gemstones in a lab, but everyone wants real diamonds. If you have a calling to be an artist, follow it.
But that's the whole ordeal you're missing; it's not comparable to gemstones in a lab because AI art is the real deal...one can't look at AI art and tell if a computer or artist created it. It is superior in every way, it's quickly maturing and already a viable alternative, it's just a matter of time until it's altogether better than the real deal...tons of aspiring artists are forced to start a career through another field due to AI for this very reason...
As a graphic designer AI scares the crap out of me. It's already hard enough finding work in this competitive field but now I have to compete against an AI who can do a design that'll take me weeks to do in a matter of seconds. It's so unfair that I spent years building up my certifications and portfolio, just for a machine to replace artists like me.
As an artist and tattooer I can say that I've never used AI for anything. Yes, I have used references from Google or specific pages meant for references, but they were all real photographs. I've seen a couple tattooers use AI to "create" designs but to me they just typed in a bunch of words. It's sad to see how an AI makes creativity in our community decrease.

A.I can't create the emotion that comes with art or poetry. But they can analyze the words/ textures/ colors that go into art and poetry and recreate them.

Im an artist and a writer, and a part of me is slightly concerned about the future. A.I. is more of a tool, in my opinion. You can use it to guide your art, not inherently create it. As a writer starting out, it helps with guiding where my story can go if I get mentally stuck. So, I'm split on this issue.

I used to work in film and shared how I wasn't in support of AI Art and got all negative comments, my defence was the loss of jobs, jobs we all need and how this was the tipping point of 'robots' replacing (very much like self check out replacing cashiers, grammerly, etc) the creative arts jobs are now digital/artists, models, hair and makeup, photography. They really took our art jobs from us....

I still remember back in the 80s and 90s all the scientists and computer experts all rushing to reassure us that we humans would always have one major trump card over AI. And that was our creativity. "No AI will be able to create" they said. "No AI will be able to create art that doesn't already exist, or be more than simple amalgamations of things that already exist" they said. "No AI will be able to create abstract art, or create something that can only exist in and originate from our imaginations and isn't tied to our real world and real universe" they said. "There will be no great works of fiction written by an AI" they said. And then what happened? They _purposely_ set out to make sure the _first_ thing AI managed to succeed at was all of the above. To master what should have been our "trump card" - one of the few things that separate humans from all other forms of life on this planet. I think the people back in the day forgot one rather important thing - not so long ago, in the planetary time line of things, our own ancestors didn't have imaginations. They hadn't yet evolved the brain wiring and neurons necessary for imagination to exist. And yet it still evolved. So there was absolutely a good chance AI would also gain this ability once they got advanced and complex enough. It was absolutely possible, despite their claims to the contrary. As it turns out, they didn't actually need to get all that advanced and complex after all. But my question is - of _all the things_ to focus AI advancement on and get working first, _WHY_ did they focus on creativity and art?! They could have left that to much later. Preferably last. Or you know, restricted it to _never_ develop so we could keep _something_ about us that is unique to our species. But no. And they still don't see how they are playing with fire. I am a 23 yr old artist. I’m afraid for the future of art, ai, & how it will affect my ability to get a career in the arts one day. The real problem isn't that AI is getting too big. I'm not worried about that if many big tech companies still can't get a grasp on what I really like with their AI. I’ve experimented with a couple of ai art generators. No matter how specific you get with your instructions, there will always be something off. Even if you enlist help from chatgpt, you still cannot get close to anything a tea artist can produce
Most of them are still in development. Some even got injured by bad decisions. And it depends more on the kind of AI you are using. The Free use ones make mistakes more oftenly because they are designed to learn. But the mistakes AI make are totally different to a normal Illustrator because of logical reasons.

To judge AI based on where it is in its infancy is incredibly short sighted, and to expect it to never evolve past its current growing pains is just not logical at all. Artist here... all I could say about AI is it makes the task unrewarding mechanical and boring.... Then don't use it? Clearly you don't feel it meets any needs you want met, so don't engage with it, you're free to do whatever you want. There are people like me who just need a character reference for DND, a scene of some interior because the player characters decided to go off on an unexpected adventure, or a basic world map outline to throw down the locations you have mapped out in some doc. In the example of a nautical pirate campaign, having something to generate a pirate ship sailing the seas during a timeskip/long travel is awesome. I don't want to pursue the "mistakes" and "discovery" of drawn/painted/etc art, my focus goes to writing and creating campaigns, and AI makes that a BLAST.
I can't wait to see them try and express that "stop worrying about your insecurities" campaign while throwing FAKE and literally PERFECT people in your face 😂😢

My belief would be that it would try and form a hive mind between different AI models to improve itself over rapid generational succession. The difference between one program and another is the code that is entered in after all. It would make sense that if it was an actual intelligence that it would try and better itself in some way shape or form. This of course is all sci fi hypothecating which all to soon will become reality in one way or another if it isn't stopped by prudence or force.

On that last point, gaming studios aren't backing off AI to protect artists, they're doing it because the legalities are still being sorted out and it's too risky to have a multi-million dollar production pulled during or after development. You can bet that once studios know it's safe, they'll be the first to replace their human artists with AI ones.
I worked for a popular health coaching company for 4 years, and was laid off this year (with a ton of other coaches) because they’re replacing human coaches with AI. It’s happening, folks. Even humans are being made obsolete in fields where human interaction is a main thing people are investing in.
That's because AI is cost effective. Automating services at the cost of human employment. Fast Food is replacing cashiers with Kiosks and the like. Convenience of service at the cost of people's work is going to always take jobs away. It's the price of innovation, sometimes for good, sometimes for ill. In the past, we saw the end of slavery not only by war, but also innovation. The Cotton Gin was a major player in this, as it was way easier to use, required far less maintenance than a human being, and was more economically friendly.
It did cost people jobs, money, and people refusing to adapt and held onto slaves. But in the end, proved its worth over time.
@@Polomance862 The problem is now the required jump in skills, knowledge and intelligence to keep up with AI, as AI develops people wont be able to compete, what is a health coach supposed to retrain in to still have a job? What is the fast food employee supposed to retrain in? It was easier for workers in the past, they could retrain as technicians or similar, or get trained how to use the new machines, that isnt really the case anymore Not everyone can get a job that AI currently cant do, not everyone can be software developers or engineers.

@@conorstewart2214 In an ideal world the gain in productivity from A.I displacing human jobs would lead to a point where less and less humans need to work (starting at the least capable / lowest IQ). They can still have a decent life provided by that increased productivity to compensate for their exclusion from being a cost-efficient worker.
I think most people know how things will actually play out unfortunately. All or most of that increased productivity will be accumulated at the top and further the wealth gap. I’m a strong supporter of capitalism but automation has the potential to bring out the worst in humanity imo.

Honestly, "too far" is nowhere near enough to express just how awful this is getting, Ai feeds into people's delusions (or well.. impression of reality... like with the models, it shows unrealistic figures) and it is making us apathetic , it's erasing our imagination and motivation to create.. yes inspiration will always exist.. as well as creative people, but it's all relating to how you'll go about expressing it... If you don't put your heart into an art piece, music, or whatever you may be making as a fellow creator, the final thing won't have a "soul", it won't speak to you, it won't tell you a story and it won't teach you anything or make you feel any type of way. It won't be fulfilling to the creator/artist or the audience/receiving end. Ai is cool as an idea and a tool, (it can help with *reconstructing* audio, video, pictures etc.) but just like with all things, if let loose and not used accordingly, it can cause chaos, frustration and confusion. To my fellow creative people, never stop imagining, never stop creating and never doubt your skills because of Ai.

What you deem "improper" I consider INSANELY useful for DND and RPing. I don't care for creating visual art, I much prefer writing to express my creativity. Therefor I don't care about the deeply personal and explorative process of creating my character reference or scene reference if needed, I'd much rather get that out of the way and then explore it by writing the story alongside my writing partner. You do you, and I will do I, but you will not hear me calling your process and/or means to an end "ImPrOpEr".
As someone who likes to draw, AI definitely put a damper on any aspirations I had to make a career out of it. "Making it" in art was already difficult, but the trivialization of the entire drawing process will probably make it impossible to monetize in the near future and beyond. I fully acknowledge that I will never be as detailed, fast, or even as creative as AI with near-infinite resources, and a turn-around time of a few seconds vs days for me.
I have no intentions of resisting this new tech, it seems inevitable and pointless. Once a new thing is established, it's not going to go anywhere, no matter how much people complain.
I don't have much interest in utilizing it either, I actually enjoy the struggle of drawing a new piece every time.
I'll be a dinosaur compared to AI "artists", a novelty at best. It is what it is, and I'll just keep doing what I've always done: scribbling away at the next weird idea I want to draw.
Try to remind yourself that AI cannot create something new, it can only imitate. Machine learning is only as good as the number of sources available on the internet. The only thing which would hold you back from anything is yourself. While we move towards more accessibility, the human element will become far more desirable. Rather than viewing AI Art as something negative, utilize it as a way to form ideas and thoughts into something you can see. Do not replicate what was generated, use that as some conceptual piece. Again, AI cannot create anything new, it can only replicate, and imitate what real people have already created, and is out there on the web.
Art original is just for fun,not for money.

AI is both incredibly fascinating, and absolutely terrifying. I really don't know how to feel about it. I love technology but we have so many movies and books depicting societies in which AI goes horribly wrong.

My passion is in writing, and I’m terrified for the future of novels. It won’t be long until AI is able to write novels with perfectly formulated plot, emotional maturity, and overall quality. I’d like to believe that the novelty of something being created by a human being will always be more impressive, but I’m not so sure people will put their money where their mouths are and support authors over computers.

It's worse than even what you talked about. Because the ugly dark side of AI is that it cannot create anything on its own. It has to be 'trained' first. And its programmers 'train' it by stealing art from others without consent or credit to the original artist. They're especially bad about it with visual art, but it's starting to happen to writers who post online as well. It's absolutely disgusting what they're doing, but they don't care at all.

The way people think it works : It takes small pieces of art from other art and mashes it together
The way it actually works: It learns patterns from millions of images + labels (Aka they can learn the pattern that things labelled tree tend to be green, circular, with a brown rectangular shape coming from underneath). Once it has learnt all these patterns, it does NOT NEED the original images it learnt from anymore. It just uses the patterns it knows to create the image from whatever label you give it so if you say "Tree on beach" it will use the patterns it knows of what a tree is, patterns it knows of what a beach is, and patterns of what "Something ON Something" is and try to combine them
This process is a digitised version of how humans learn as well, if you were born with no way to take in visual or linguistic information, and had no exposure to what a tree or beach was, you would find it hard pressed to draw one. Every piece humans create has its origin from somewhere, I can draw a tree because I have seen 1000s of trees in real life, and 100s of trees in paintings, yet I do not credit all those paintings.
@@ProductionsDiratia there are artists blind from birth who create incredibly detailed paintings, the reason most don't will be because it has no value to their lack of sight. Need other input to their senses, such as 3d, audio etc. Doesn't mean at all that they can't or have difficulty doing it. I have a blind from birth son who is extremely creative but chooses not to paint as it ends up as just a piece of canvas to him. Never underestimate the human brain.

As a 3D artist, this whole AI craze is scary. It takes me hours to days to even a week or more to do some art. The AI can do the same thing in minutes, and the sad thing is that people won't care where the art comes from. Artists will never be able to keep up. So, if its a money thing, digital artists are in trouble.
Computers have replaced everyone else's job. Why would you think yours is special?

Computer Science student here, and at my university I have been involved in research into various different methods to generate mri brain images, since medical data is one of the few heavily regulated forms of data and is only available in small amounts. The purpose of the research is to determine which model can supplement real images the best to help train early warning systems for brain cancer detection.
During this, I have been educated a lot on deep learning and general ai concepts. One of the major take-always for me was that there has to be some input in order for these models to be developed, meaning that if the data was controlled by the individual , people’s data would be much less likely to be used in a way they disagree with, such as with AI art.
Overall, I believe that the best approach to this whole issue is to push for a right to our own data, since that is the crucial aspect that can enable AI and machine learning to advance unchecked, while still allowing for technological advancements to be made.
If anyone wants, I’d be happy to talk about my research in detail or just discuss this topic further, since I believe I have a fair amount more knowledge, having learned cs as AI has began to expand.

As a gamer I saw this coming as well, not to long ago (I think a week back), Ubisoft has announced that they have patented an AI script writing assistant tool.
At the moment it's focusing on barks in game (random dialogue and noices heard from NPC's) and the script writers are supposed to change it to be more suitable for usage in game.
But knowing the industry, it's only a matter of time until it's used to cut corners to save money on hiring script writers.
I have been in the "data industry" for two decades now. AI is turning into both a dream and a nightmare. For years the work that I did (data engineering) felt not optimal. So I find it amazing that AI will be able to do my job in about 5 years time. But it also freaks me out, because 50% of the working population is about to become obsolete... and they don't realize it......
I was a graphic artist in the music industry for 13 years. I’ve played around with some of the AI stuff. It’s got a little ways to go before it can replace a real graphics guy for album art but it’s getting close. I’m glad I shifted gears and went into video production a few years ago.

I’ve been doing art my entire life and I’m mediocre at best, the idea that a program can cram out who knows how many paintings consistently At qualities far beyond what I’ll ever be capable of is terrifying. I thought I’m young I’m getting better every day but at this point what’s the point. I’m studying architecture and tbh by the time I graduate AI will probably be designing buildings too.

Technically, automation of architectural objects are already a thing. CAD software is already generating 3D models based of drawings, so with AI integration, you'd just need to know which architectural terminology to input and it will create whatever you want in minutes (if even that long). And that's before the technology matures to the point where not even needing to know architectural terminology is necessary (like what you have already seen with progamming and drag and drop web designers happening).
The really scary part is it's not just affecting models and art. Retailers and blue collar employers are looking to intergrate AI into warehouses, retail and food service. It's all in talks everyone is looking to replace actual people with AI somewhere.

There can never be too much PREP!!! We've done it for years and a few times we've HAD to use a good amount of our products, whether it was us using it, or sharing it, or we got caught when things got low and we couldn't get to the store. I love the idea of a catwalk of designer clothes on AI models, that are my exact size and shape.
There is nothing worse, than seeing an item, that looks fabulous on a model, but looks terrible when I wear it.
As someone who had been practicing to become an illustrator and stop motion animator, the rapid development of AI was the breaking point for me. It was already difficult to earn a living as an artist when the internet allows every amateur to call themselves one, in addition to fostering the expectation that creative content should be free or close to free. With the rise of AI, I had to put my aspirations aside and try to look for a job elsewhere as quickly as possible. I still believe in the value of human creativity, but having not yet established myself in the art world, the future is bleak. The future of art is a big question mark, and jobs that used to tide struggling artists over are increasingly automated. I cannot, as a responsible adult, make such a gamble when the odds are stacked so high against me. I will still make art, but as a passionate side hustle.
However, I think that every crisis is an opportunity. I think that humans will somehow find a way to create that is irreplaceable by AI, just like how painting transformed with the invention of photography. The first artist to do so would rise like a rocket. Also, there would be more value placed on human art with traditional, tangible mediums. Just my thoughts😊 (Sorry, English is not my first language)
As a 3D artist I feel the same way. I have been doing 3D art for around 6 years now, and am always learning more. But I see AI art pop up now that is better then my art and done in seconds. But that is not why I hate AI art. I hate it because it straight up steals all art on the Internet. It has no qualms about it and no one has to say where the art is stolen from. No AI will ever say what art they stole either, and people don't care. So, the art I do could easily be stolen and used by AI, and I would never get credit for it.
@@shayliakara I also hate it, and I admit that I had a breakdown when I first learned of it. Sadly, I do not see a way to reverse the effects. The technology is already here. As artists fight for regulations, I think that it is also crucial to find a way to adapt to AI. Denial has never gotten anyone anywhere (unfortunately).

As a Game Developer, I am so proud to be a part of an industry that protects creatives.
Also, AI art is illegible for copyright protection, hence its reasoning for banning in our industry.

Not gonna lie I'm actually terrified at the idea that AI is taking way jobs from real artist. To some degree, yeah, it is inventible with the fast growing technology in our world, but gosh this is so depressing. As a teen, I really want to go to Art school and be an animator, but now I don't know if the future that I want is stable☹☹
It's not just art. I work in accounting and I'm genuinely worried for the future of my job. There is very little with respect to most careers that AI won't eventually be able to do.

Art majors have been struggling for years. Only do art as a minor and go study something else as your major that can really have an impact, like finance or engineering or medical etc. Even majoring in business and economics is better.
It’s not just artists, many laptop class jobs will see this take a bite out of the numbers needed to be employed, an ad department can go from 15 to 2 people for example, accountants, programmers, customer service/support, utility operators, some levels of engineers, journalists, analysts, software developers, graphic designers, architects, side hustle economy, you name it. The numbers of employees required in each of these and much, much more, will be taking a huge dive very soon, 5-10 years, everything will look drastically different. AI is not developing at a linear rate it’s under exponential development in capabilities currently.

This is basically just like Carole and Tuesday, where AI becomes an enssential part of human society ranging from pets, transportation, communication, politics, etc. In this anime, it mainly focuses on the pros & cons of AI dominating the music industry including the future of humans who live on earth & mars.
Not only is the story telling of Carole and Tuesday worth watching, all the songs sung by the two main characters- who produce their music with their own talent - are beautiful to listen to.
When I heard ai was replacing creative artists thought I was hearing things. I was pretty shocked like I thought we wouldn’t become this advanced as a whole right now but here we are.

You are not gonna be replaced, don't worry. If you like it, just keep drawing. The AI are gonna affect the financial part of art, that's something I can't deny, but Art is about you, and expressing yourself through it, so if you feel like drawing better and better is what you want, then do it.

It's a lesson taught to us almost thirty years ago, but we still haven't learned anything from it, disregarding it because it came from a movie.

Tbh, I get her point about art and stuff, but I know online clothes shopping would be a whole lot easier if you could see what clothes would look like on you and not a random person that doesn't have your same height or bodyweight. That way, you could see what cuts and whatnot would generally look good without having to order it. Using AI for this would just mean modeling would become more specialized and competitive. But tbh I don't have a problem with that. I did a bit of modeling in my late teens/early twenties and it's really a toxic industry the higher up you go. It gets to the point where you can't climb any higher without plastic surgery and a whole bunch of nonsense. I do think that AI could never replace true art, but of all the art forms, I care for modeling the least. 😂
Depends on who you ask. There are those within the art community who view AI Art Generated images as some gateway, delving into illustration and arts. Artists also use AI Art to generate a conceptual idea, generating that into something tangible, and working off that. Others generate landscapes, and backgrounds, and insert portraits, characters, and photographs into the generated image. Not everyone within that community views AI as some lurking threat, and if anything, real artists will become more valuable since AI cannot create anything NEW and can only imitate.
Where my acceptance of AI falls off are the AI Companion Apps, exploiting loneliness, anxiety, depression, and preying on a generation who's had over two years of life experience, stripped away. So many young teens/young adults, especially males, have enough to deal with far-left ideologies, the Tate Sigma Male Chuds, and the out-of-reach expectations for physical appearance. There'll always be a demand for the human element because humans can create new experiences, but AI cannot, and AI should exist in tandem with humans, not replace them.
As a wise man once said, just because you can do something, did you ever stop to think if you should.

What the clothes designers should do to use their tool better is for you to have your exact body digitized so you can look at all clothes on a runway being worn by you so you can see what they look like on you ( perfectly tailored) until you find one that looks right for you. “This is the worst AI will ever be.” If it’s this good amongst the civilian population, it’s terrifying pondering what it’s capable of doing in the hands of those behind the closed doors of government.
There needs to be intense regulations placed on these programs now or else they are going to lead to untold misery in the coming decades. If they're used as I suspect - that is as a replacement for artists and low-skilled labour - it will be the death blow to true culture and the final destruction of the middle class. Creatives will be cast into despair (trait openness necessitates the act of creation, which I surmise would be nearly impossible in this new dystopia), and everyone not fortunate enough to be in the upper economic brackets will descend into destitution. If AI is not regulated, it could - without exaggeration - lead to social breakdown and either the rise of neocommunism or the collapse of western civilization.
I propose that the items are limited to tools through legislation, where the "productions" of these programs cannot be sold, but only modified or used as a small part of a final product. Something in this vein has a chance to sidestep the issues I present, but unregulated AI can only lead to disaster.
What about anything that is " created " by AI has to be credited to AI, so people can tell what has been done by people and AI apart?

Meanwhile, people who do things without AI will be called greedy for charging more (which they have to do anyway, because it's more difficult and time consuming).

Brett, thanks for covering this and giving your opinion. You're always quite astute! But as an artist I would like to make several important points here for you:
1) The AI Art trend is just going to make live performances, especially acoustic ones, and authentic visual art (physical paintings, mixed media work) more valuable. Also, I always enjoy when people watch me sketching and painting live. They clearly enjoy seeing the very human process of creating art!
2)AI Art can be a tool for artists to use in the creative process, in much the same way that photography can be.
3) In terms of volume, artificial creations or cheap reproductions have always dominated due to economic reality.
4) There are artists who are truly creative and original, and then there are artists who are derivative - they imitate other artists and styles. Then there are artists who are more like craftsmen/artisans. These latter types may lose business, but then again maybe they'll get more business as they can quickly produce reproductions that have brushstrokes created by a human hand. Just look at how graphic design and sign-making has evolved over time. There are still people today who do things "the old fashioned" way due to niche markets and demand from hipsters.
5) Many poems are in fact "algorithmic." Over human history and across cultures very specific formulations, or recipes, have been devised for making certain types of poems (e.x. haiku, sonnet, acrostic, limerick).

"Traditional" artists (or human artists) will only be the first to suffer this....exploitation of technology to make profit for a certain group of people. Other professions will come next. Like, who needs art teachers if any humans can just turn on some apps, make some sketchy lines or type a few keywords, and ta-da! Art, art, and art, bam, bam, bam!
I tried an Art making AI app before and got super bored pretty fast, like, within 3 hours. Maybe it was because I didn't intend to make money out of it, but mostly because what came out didn't fit my imagination when I typed the keywords in at all.
Most importantly, looking nice or not, those WERE NOT MY art, simply so.
And the same is happening to music and performers, writing and writers, and many more job fields eventually will be affected if we don't draw a line soon.

@@xandercruz900 I will be 20 this year and back in the 2000s and the early 2010s, I didn’t have a computer or an Xbox or a phone. I remember trying hold my MP3 player just right on the bus to receive the radio station I was listening to. Yes, my MP3 player could play radio stations.
As for the first quote, I don’t think it’s that outlandish to think that AI and computers will surpass humans in intelligence and take over. It might not be for some time yet but I don’t doubt that it’s possible.

I do long sometimes for a simpler time when computers didn’t dominate mainstream life. It would be nice to just go back so those times from before smartphones were so prevalent and computer chips were in everything.
This is heartbreaking, I'm 16 and all my life I wanted to be an artist, when I was 12 I discovered digital art and I fell in love with that art form
But know, what's the point? A computer is creating art in 2 seconds and it's free. I wanted to be a digital artist but now I feel forced to be something else

My advice? Learn to specialize in some kind of art form. That way, you're creating at least a limited lifespan for your career as an artist. If that involves creating art features for AI tools, you are even in a BETTER position than those who don't.
I'm a writer and honestly think this will be a fad. We can grow gemstones in a lab, but everyone wants real diamonds. If you have a calling to be an artist, follow it.
But that's the whole ordeal you're missing; it's not comparable to gemstones in a lab because AI art is the real deal...one can't look at AI art and tell if a computer or artist created it. It is superior in every way, it's quickly maturing and already a viable alternative, it's just a matter of time until it's altogether better than the real deal...tons of aspiring artists are forced to start a career through another field due to AI for this very reason...
As a graphic designer AI scares the crap out of me. It's already hard enough finding work in this competitive field but now I have to compete against an AI who can do a design that'll take me weeks to do in a matter of seconds. It's so unfair that I spent years building up my certifications and portfolio, just for a machine to replace artists like me.

As an artist and tattooer I can say that I've never used AI for anything. Yes, I have used references from Google or specific pages meant for references, but they were all real photographs. I've seen a couple tattooers use AI to "create" designs but to me they just typed in a bunch of words. It's sad to see how an AI makes creativity in our community decrease.

Im an artist and a writer, and a part of me is slightly concerned about the future. At the same time though part of me wonders if big companies start using AI There's a good chance that the people who own or create the AI themselves will start making people and big companies pay to use them. It's just a thought, and i could be totally wrong.

A.I. is more of a tool, in my opinion. You can use it to guide your art, not inherently create it. As a writer starting out, it helps with guiding where my story can go if I get mentally stuck. So, I'm split on this issue.

I'm sure a lot of us predicted this! I used to work in film and shared how I wasn't in support of AI Art and got all negative comments, my defence was the loss of jobs, jobs we all need and how this was the tipping point of 'robots' replacing (very much like self check out replacing cashiers, grammerly, etc) the creative arts jobs are now digital/artists, models, hair and makeup, photography. They really took our art jobs from us....

When I started in the programming industry, circa 82, I imagined the days when the computer would make our lives a lot better, but I never imagined that it would exist so soon, what a difference from the punch cards, K7 tapes, and hours to write a code that emulates a simple calculator.
Now the question is: How to work in this new world that is coming, if the schools (and other kinds of training) never prepared us, humans, to be necessary for this new reality?
Remember, universities, aside from the "ideological education", are supposed to prepare students for a work career, and we still study the same as I studied in my time. #thinkaboutit

I still remember back in the 80s and 90s all the scientists and computer experts all rushing to reassure us that we humans would always have one major trump card over AI. And that was our creativity. "No AI will be able to create" they said. "No AI will be able to create art that doesn't already exist, or be more than simple amalgamations of things that already exist" they said. "No AI will be able to create abstract art, or create something that can only exist in and originate from our imaginations and isn't tied to our real world and real universe" they said. "There will be no great works of fiction written by an AI" they said. And then what happened? They _purposely_ set out to make sure the _first_ thing AI managed to succeed at was all of the above. To master what should have been our "trump card" - one of the few things that separate humans from all other forms of life on this planet. I think the people back in the day forgot one rather important thing - not so long ago, in the planetary time line of things, our own ancestors didn't have imaginations. They hadn't yet evolved the brain wiring and neurons necessary for imagination to exist. And yet it still evolved. So there was absolutely a good chance AI would also gain this ability once they got advanced and complex enough. It was absolutely possible, despite their claims to the contrary. As it turns out, they didn't actually need to get all that advanced and complex after all. But my question is - of _all the things_ to focus AI advancement on and get working first, _WHY_ did they focus on creativity and art?! They could have left that to much later. Preferably last. Or you know, restricted it to _never_ develop so we could keep _something_ about us that is unique to our species. But no. And they still don't see how they are playing with fire. Or how we could all potentially get very very burned by it. Has the movies of the past like Terminator and The Matrix taught them nothing?!

I’ve kind of always felt like modern society has cast the arts aside and doesn’t value it as much as it used to. Humanity & culture is built on art. Now we have computers spitting out fully finished masterpieces in seconds.

The real problem isn't that AI is getting too big. I'm not worried about that if many big tech companies still can't get a grasp on what I really like with their AI. No, the big problem I see is that companies that use AI probably won't lower prices even though they won't have to pay models or singers or others that work with them. How much do you want to bet Levi's will still be expensive.

I’ve experimented with a couple of ai art generators. No matter how specific you get with your instructions, there will always be something off. Even if you enlist help from chatgpt, you still cannot get close to anything a tea artist can produce
For now. You have access to baby AI.
Most of them are still in development. Some even got injured by bad decisions.
And it depends more on the kind of AI you are using. The Free use ones make mistakes more oftenly because they are designed to learn.
But the mistakes AI make are totally different to a normal Illustrator because of logical reasons.
@@pickitypopsnickitylovejone6558 This is my argument exactly. Computers started out very limited as well, but they're incredibly powerful now. To judge AI based on where it is in its infancy is incredibly short sighted, and to expect it to never evolve past its current growing pains is just not logical at all. AI will absolutely improve over time, and there's no telling how powerful it will become.
@@poogissploogis I agree 100%. The AI that we see in the public domain is merely what these organizations feel comfortable releasing. AI has overcome serious constraints. Even financial constraints in its R&D. It is perfectly safe to assume that it will continue to do so.

If anyone knows about the game "Detroit: Become Human," the robots have thoughts and feelings, and they want equal rights. I mean, that is scary. Also, in the first chapter of the game, Markus, who was an AI, was creative and made his own art piece. They were stealing people's jobs, so will AI's be like that in future?
