That Bell Broozer will be my first, 90% it’s a regular full face, but when low speed around the sea side and it’s sunny for those 3days, I can be a rebel and have an open face for a brief joyous moment
When you buy a helmet like a Bullitt- you got to realise your buying the retro look & experience. It’ll be noisy, prolly get some water inside & look amazing. It’s not going to be (nor try to be a state of art touring/ race helmet). If your open to it, you’ll love it.
Glad to see the Hedon in the list. It does look so good. I'm a Shoei fan and own a Shoei head but I'm gonna try the better looking Hedon, and if that don't fit I know the Shoei will (although I do think the new Shoei is more 70's classic than 60's?! Thank for the re-cap.
Biltwell gringo S terrific helmet for $220. Most important Great visibility - must see well to live. Visor Not air tight- great air circulation even with the windshield down -you feel the air but you really don’t hear it -simple design is very good through the wind. Fits glasses no prob. Good manufacture support here in CA USA

@Kendall Brayden i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I'll wait for The Arai Neo to compare with Glamster. Also, when will you get color and graphic options for The Phoenix from Qwart? Thanks for your videos, all are very useful and informative. Last but not least and on a side note, I love your hair!
I tried the Arai in a shop a while ago, the interior is just better than the shoei (haven't tried the glamster yet but judging by the look of those liners it's probably similar to the RYD which I own), it feels more plush and it just feels more comfortable, but it's also a lot heavier than the shoei. Tbh the Arai is a more comfortable and superior helmet
I was looking at these beautiful retro helmets when buying my z900RS SE. However, I went for a modern Shoei GT Air2 with outstanding features a retro wont offer. Unfortunately.
What are your thoughts on this collection coming into 2020, what do you like ? and what don't you like? do you have one of these already or are you figuring out what suits you best.
Im watching this Video just now because im interested in the Shoei Glamster. I allways disliked the Bell Bullit because the Visor is too large in my opinion, I think it makes the helmet look like a retro astronauts helmet. With the top vents that are not closeable und the missing option for a pinlock its not a option for me because I like riding in fall and winter too. For the really really hot sommer days and short trips I have a Biltwell Gringo with a pair of Roeg goggles and for what it is and its price point its perfect. But now I need something for higher Autobahn speeds, longer rides and also for the occasional rain and I think that the Shoei is the perfect Option for me.
@@UrbanRiderlondon yep the Shoei for me too, its down to your review, yo really explain the pros and cons wonderfully. It should blend nicely with my SDR 2020
some biiiiiiig words to open this VT with, how many takes...? anyways these videos are super useful walkaround, especially when we all cant get to a shop, keep up the good work!
I went with a 3 button full face helmet and I'm honestly regretting it. I use glasses so the visors I use for those kind of helmets have to be with an adapter. This means that the buttons are prone to pop off whenever I open and close the visor and there isn't an airtight seal around the opening. I've been looking at the Equilibrialist visors but god damn things are too expensive for what they're worth.
Nice review thank you The main question I have remains the same, why, spend a $1000 on a beautiful helmet like the Hedon, which is truly a work of art, when after 5 years at most, it will become obsolete and take a spot on a shelf at home somewhere gathering dust....? Is it safer? No, I’d rather spend a grand on a leather jacket that will last a lifetime and buy a $300 helmet that meets the same safety features, expensive helmets are a total waste of money,
More expensive helmets tend to be more comfortable and lighter, they generally are quieter and have better ventilation. The thing with safety compliance is the cheaper helmets do meet them, but the more expensive once exceed them, there’s plenty of videos comparing, testing and even cutting up cheap and expensive helmets to show the difference
@@OLICIT That can be the case, but here with the Hedon it is not. The Hedon isnt more expensive because it has better venting or more safety features, its expensive because it is a luxury product. Its made with more premium materials and more time consuming techniques. There are people out there in the retro segment that will chose the hedon because of that and thats totally fine but you will have to accept the premium price for a premium product.
I normally find a good fit in Shoei lids (my GT-Air fits like a glove) but I really like the look of the Bell Bullitt. I see you said that "...the Bullitt is aimed at a intermediate round shape..." but how does that compare to the Shoei range?
@@UrbanRiderlondon ...or for the same width I might find it a bit tight across the forehead? I think that, when all this Corona madness is over I might find a stockist and go try one on. Only way to be sure I suppose. Thank you. :)

The second Helmet from the left, reminds me of Daft Punk.
I don't think they used that one actually
YES! Had the same thought. That's a very nice helmet.
The new arai rapide(neo) is by far the best retro helmet on the market at the moment.
It is very cool
No AGV X3000? Most comfortable helmet I've tried, and AGV is not slouch on safety, up there with Shoei and Arai.
That's a great option too
The issue with the gringo is the chrome trimming. It scratches the visor/lid.
Can someone list the downsides of the Bell Broozer? Because, to be my first purchase, I can't find one...
I can‘t find different visors for the Shoei Glamster. Won‘t there be a slightly darker one available?
