I didn´t pay too much attention to this album when it came out, but then, when I found myself driving on a road trip. I listened to this whole album while driving and it changed my life. Whenever I listen to this album, it sends me back to the good times I had.

Many of lana's music took me some time to appreciate it. I feel like she always releases it before I'm ready and then one random day I stop to listen to the album and it hits me so hard. It's like she predicts my next life chapter it's crazy

Please do Blue Banisters after this as it immediately follows this album and not do Ocean Blvd, because conceptually and journey wise it makes sense for Ocean Blvd to be the last album as she intended.

Can’t wait to the Blue Banisters reaction, it’s one of my favorite albums. You should expect a more chill album like Chemtrails but it does everything better from production to vocals, some songs are really gonna impress you. It’s an album from COVID times so it’s more intimate

Oh you are so going to love Blue Bannisters and DYKTATUOB (Did you know there’s a tunnel under ocean blvd). She truly becomes a poet at her fullest in those, this album was only the beginning of her journey to unleashing her potential. Loved that you reacted to this! I do agree with some songs it can be a bit awkward with the music but can’t wait to see you react to the others ones. Stay safe and don’t burn out if you’re feeling too stressed doing these. You can always stop and take a break.

Side note, can we talk about how hard working lana really is. Since 2019 lana has finished NFR,COTCC,BB and Ocean blvd and, also a country album that still on the works and music for shows and also touring and festivals. If we do a time lines its crazy like September 2019 release NFR and possibly starts working on COTCC and also on the idea of a country album, then in 2020 she announces COTCC but it had a different name it was supposed to be called (White Hot Forever) but she ended up changing it to COTCC, this album gets a rocky roll out and it gets pushed back to 2021, but in 2020 still shes making country music cause she says that she did the cover of “ Take me home country roads” in 2020 and, also you can tell the country sound i also present in COTCC especially in the song “Dance till we die“ . March 2021 she releases COTCC and also starts hinting at a new album already which also had a whole different name it was supposed to be called “ Rock Candy Sweet “ but then changes it too Blue Banisters and actually When it comes to Rock Candy Sweet i think she liked the song a lot but not enough for the album but when euphoria season two happens lana is in the sound track with a song she made for Euphoria called “Water color eyes” which I think its Rock Candy Sweet because the lyrics do mention “ I think that you're sweet like rock candy “ so maybe Water color eyes was Rock candy Sweet maybe she made it but liked it but not for BB but maybe she thought it was perfect for euphoria but also she wanted to make it into something new so Water color eyes came out in 2022, which she does revamp a lot of music with COTCC, BB And Ocean blvd too COTCC has a lot of Ultraviolence unreleased music and BB some 2017 songs from an unreleased album with two other artists anyways now coming back to BB in 2021 this album has a rocky roll out because of drama and also a lot of the songs getting leaked lana is upset but still releases singles for it and on a random October date of 2021 BB is released with almost no promotion and actually lana even said she was unsure to release it but it still was released so BB is called the Unrereleased album. Okay now right after BB release we get Water color eyes and lana is already in talks about a new album Ocean blvd and also her dads album which she also made music for that you should check out because they are good songs anyways, so late 2022 lana starts hinting the lead single for it and in December of 2022 DYKTTATUOBLVD is released and in 2023 before the album release we get two more singles one in February and one in march then bam march 24 2023 ocean blvd gets released with love by fans and critics anyway later she starts touring and also in june i think or july she releases the music with her father then in December 2023 she releases the cover of Take me home country roads which is good and then 2024 before the Grammys she says that her new country album lasso is gonna release this September but, before that in july we get her highly anticipated collab with quavo “Tough” which is a good song then in September no news about Lasso and this is why i feel like the fans need to realize lana never set a date for lasso and also lana announcing it felt like to test the waters about how people would react and the music industry she later said recently that we are getting 2 more singles before the end of the year so we are waiting for those which one of those 2 singles is rumored that she played it at her birthday concert called “The mirror” which she played in the beginning of her show and is a unreleased song that sounds phenomenal anyways here we are November 2024 a new album in the way nee singles and actually lana says she might redo all of lasso and re name it so we really dont know but she has to release it before she performs in stage coach in april which is basically country Coachella because people are gonna need some country songs to turn up too unless she does cherry country remix featuring nikkie lane idk but anyways but yeah and also actually forgot to mention but early 2024 in February 14 she also released a song for a apple tv show and the song is called “ Blue Skies “ but yeah , thats a messy time lime about some of the things lana has released and done these past years.

This album wasn’t my favorite and not because it was a bad album I just feel like it was very minimal maybe cuz there were only 11 songs in it, there was only a few songs that really stood out to me overall. But after listening to it a couple times I started appreciating more songs the more I listened. I couldn’t describe it at first cuz it wasn’t as country to me, but more folk sound!! I like how this album sounded as if she was almost gently whispering in ur ear, because of the subtle instruments her voice sounds more upfront & focus. I’m so happy you did this one, when u said u were gonna do another reaction by the end of November I was like nooo😭 I can’t wait that long. But I appreciate the reactions and the time u take to make them. Also the people in her album are her close friends, and childhood friends, 2 backup dancers she got very close to(you’ll notice them later in her mv), and her sister chuck! Just people who are very important to her overall and mean a lot to her. Lana is the one smiling brightly in white standing next to the little girl. Her sister is at the very far left of the table. Hopefully by the time you listen to DYKTTATUOB you listen to it in December. I remember going through a really rough time in December and when she released her single on December 7, I used to cry a lot just listening to it, it was hard for me to actually listen to it without getting emotional. the album now gives me nostalgia when it’s Christmas time. I know the album was later released in march but it perfectly fits in December for me😌🫶🏼

So, like most of her other albums she added a cover, 'For Free' is a song by Joni Michell. Also, the original version of 'let me love you like a woman' is called 'Pink champagne' and it was made for ultraviolence. It's more melancholic and kinda trippy, it you like that vibe you can find it on yt ❤️

The Men in Music Business Conference was called PARA (Professional Audio Retail Association) and it was at a hotel called Loew’s in South Beach, not Orlando. Liz Grant was the waitress. My parents own a stereo dealership and went with me and my brother. There was maybe 15 people in a closed door room (The dealership owners) while the workers attended classes. My parents were talking about their new design center which was doing a lot of big art stuff with the building. They also mentioned that I (Keenan Rodammer) was fighting a juvenile court case. I did a report on Denis Wilson from The Beach Boys and it turns out he drowned in Marina Del Rey. I threatened to kill my classmate named Marina if she didn’t change her name to Lana Lynn Harding on instant messenger. I told Liz Grant (who was the 19 year old waitress wearing a white dress) to either use Lana Del Rey as a stage name or another name my friends came up with, “Sparkle Jumprope Queen”. She chose Lana. I’m 33 now and have always lived in Michigan.

The song “Dark But Just a Game” was my brother and I as kids playing GoldenEye 007 for N64 and writing. At the time we wanted a 20 year time capsule album with that song on it for our new friend to sing.

The whole album is her battling what she wants vs what the people want! fame vs art. She wants to be simple and not go bigger in this time in her life I love this album because she doesn’t want to change for other people and for the wrong reasons! You do hear old Lana peaking through in some of the tracks. these next two/three albums are more for her personal growth and how the fame has hurt her so badly that she doesn’t want to do it anymore and just get away and leave forever but she’s staying for the ones who love and support her no matter what. 😊

This album and the next one is SIMPLE for a reason they wanted it to be like a quiet whisper after her big album of Norman Rockwell and these next two albums are different and not trying to do to much very folk inspired and chill
