I get the impression from Jen’s intro that she is hearing from people who think she pauses too much. She really doesn’t. First off, while Geoff doesn’t really push the copyright thing, others do, and TH-cam actually requires reactors to pause now and then TO REACT (they sometimes block videos if people don’t do that). A reaction video is a video OF THE REACTION to the music, and that means stopping to comment. An analysis video is even more likely to pause for comments. Most of us are here because we actually want to hear what Jen has to say. Stick around-she’s great, and if you can adjust your expectations and hear her out, you’ll appreciate Geoff (and the others she reacts to) even more because you’ll learn about the skills it takes to do some of the things he does.
@@JenniferGlatzhofer thank you for your quality reactions. It’s fun to watch some people who just appreciate music, but I really enjoy the analysis from people who actually understand the techniques we’re seeing. It’s so easy to miss details like mouth shape and how it changes the character of the sound.
@@lkayh absolutely! I have always been a casual listener of music. Even when I was really into music I don’t think I could’ve read back the lyrics, and I certainly didn’t pay a whole lot of attention to what the background vocals were doing. But now, after watching reactors especially people like Jennifer, I get so much more appreciation of the music. Not just because I understand that so much more goes into it, but I have learned from her videos about mouth shape and changing the vowels. I now appreciate just how intricate even a simple arrangement can be. And when they do an arrangement by Geoff or Layne - those are so complex. Every time I listen (if I start paying attention rather than just enjoying it) I hear something new. And for someone who has never really TRULY listened to music that is an Epiphany.
@@janetdw I was a music theater major in college, but it’s been a long, LONG time since I thought about stuff like this. Fully let his inner Elvis loose for all to see. Geoff the custodian. The moves and his clone's name tags Goff, Jeoph, and Jeff. Props to his choreographer. That wiggle oh my goodness. He said it took him eighty takes to get that last note C1.
Yay. Been waiting for this one. Geoff said it took him 80 takes to finally hit that C1 at the end. As much as we all are blown away by his range, “way down” that low is even a stretch for him.
IDK what's the highlight of the clip for me: Jeff eating cocporn from a dustpan, Joeph singing into the toilet brush, or Goff furiously writing down hate comments. Mans gettin more and more chill with every video
This time Geoff finally gave names to his clones. Goff is giving a critique comparing it to "Far Over The Misty Mountains Cold", while Jeff is eating popcorn out of the dustpan and Jeoph sniffs and then licks a toilet brush.
Great reaction as usual. This is now my favourite video with Ain't No Sunshine talk about polar opposites! Layne was on steadicam for this. Some of us are still wondering how they got through, because those two crack each other up normally. Geoff has such a lovely self deprecating sense of humour it's good to see him showing it here. Of course vocally it's incredible.

Jennifer, I'm having a wonderful day when you react to Geoff or to Voiceplay! I go back and watch your reactions to them all the time. This one was so much fun, especially after the heartbreaking Ain't No Sunshine. Thanx for your joy when you react, you are terrific!
I think the misty mountains thing at the end there was making fun of all the trolls that keep saying that in the comments every video he puts out XD. Love your reaction you were so giddy! Also, Geoff's cover of Misty Mountains next?
I didn't know about the original song but just looked it up and apparently JD Sumner sang it this low (same key) in Elvis' recording of the song. So it's not just an ode to Elvis but also to JD. Awesome.
Yes, this was pure joy! Both the song and your reaction. I loved the playfulness in your voice when you say " so without any further ado". It's like an inside joke and it makes my day! You're getting closer to those subharmonics. You brighten up even the brightest days! Knowledgeable too!
Funny video, great arrangement by Geoff, well analysed, love it. Your reaction also reminds me on my times trying to write down arrangements by listening to the music next to my piano.
Yet another really fun reaction video. This has got to be in most people's top 5 songs of Geoff's. Great energy and it's so obvious how much fun he's having quite literally performing this cover. And your reaction observations were on point, as always. Love your reactions, girl! I love your explanations about the anatomical variants for different notes and classes of notes. Glad I subscribed so long ago!
There has been some disagreement among fans as to whether that C1 is his lowest note ever, considering it took him 80 takes to do it. It's true that he apparently did a B0 in the Halo theme, but can we assume that was a subharmonic and this one wasn't? Some say his C1 was a chest growl. I am totally confused by all this and hope he can clear it up, though to me, frankly, I don't much care. Its all so much fun.
It really sounds like it has the same "texture" a subharmonic has, and it doesn't make a lot of sense for his lowest chest note to jump from F1 all the way down to C1. I think people are just amazed that it took him so many takes, but Geoff seems like a perfectionist - he'd want that last "spotlight" low note to have power and smoothness. I'm sure the B0 took equally as long.
I've been looking foreward to this one! I couldn't help thinking, "Oh, Jennifer will love this!" when I saw it. I hope this gives you all kinds of ideas for your own vocal performances. The only thing is I think you could have tried a little harder to get that C1. :-) Thanks for doing this one so quickly.
I ❤️ your reaction. So much fun. Did you notice the name tags? I always enjoy your technical experience. You add so much to the video by understanding more of how he does what he does. Loved the video! Loved your reaction.
Consensus seems to be that that is indeed a C1 at the end. I think that may be the lowest note Geoff (or anyone in VP) has recorded as an actual lyric-carrying vocal so far.
Have you been working on your vocal fry? Cuz there were a couple of times in this video where I'm pretty sure that Geoff hit some crazy low note, you paused and then matched pitch (maybe an octave higher...but still crazy low!!) The only one I could pinpoint was where BV Geoff hit a note around the 11:24 mark, then you hit it at 11:26. I don't know what that note was, but all I can say is, "WOW!! Good job, Jennifer!!!" Wait,....haven't I heard you say you were a soprano in a previous video? Hmmm....You might want to re-think that.
I really like your analysis, you are lovely and deserve way more subscribers. Geoff put a lot of fun in this rendition, something we need more of in these trying times. I got a kick out of toilet brush Jeoff and eating popcorn out of the dustpan Jeff.
I posted this on some Elvis fan groups and they thought it was great. Elvis and JD Sumner(bass backup singer) would be impressed with Geoff's rendition.

@@barbarakennedy2667 I can’t imagine anyone who would lmao. I’m a 100% straight guy, and I know I certainly don’t. I only thought it would be a fun/silly point to tease Miss Jennifer over, especially so if it was a genuine coincidence and not intentional ;) lmao
React to JINJER - Pisces
You missed the very end. Which is hilarious an inside joke.
Okay I spoke before you said it sorry
The shocking part is the Geoff considers himself a tenor. Tenors DON’T sing C1 in chest! I’m a baritone and there’s no way I can even think about that note.
Well, he considers himself a baritone - he just used to want to be a rock tenor when he was younger. Either way, he's ridiculous!
That C1 isn't chest, it's a subharmonic. Still amazing. In the original J.D. Sumner actually sings that C1 in chest voice
@@charlesdaloz2547 I had to listen closer. His subharmonics are too good. Hard to tell sometimes.
elvis and jd recorded this in 1977-- hard to beat jd tho- just saying
I like Geoff, he has a beautiful voice; but I do not like the song.
he can go all the way to b0 xD
Like the song but hate the video, I just turn away and listen
