4 on hail marys, actually. 2 during the Browns game and 2 in earlier games this season. So in reality, he has 16 TDs to 5 legit INTs in 13 games. He finished the season with 2500 passing yards and 600 rush yards. With his averages per game, if he stayed healthy and played all 17 games, he would've finished the season with 3300+ pass yards and 800+ rush yards with around 24 passing TDs and 8 rushing TDs. Again, that's based off of his per-game averages. That's a really good season, especially for a QB of a Bears team that wasn't good for most of the year.
Those are terrible stats what's are you talking about and he only had 4 rushing tds. 20 overall tds. For instance Desmond ridder played the exact same amount of games às Justin Fields and ridder had 2,800 yards 17 total tds (3 less then Fields) 12 passing 5 rushing.
Justin Fields is only 24 years old and still has a lot of work to do to improve his game. He finished his season with 2,562 passing yards, 16 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. We don’t know what the future holds for him, so let’s see what happens. He does appreciate the opportunity to play for the Bears organization.
1 interception was a bad call by officials happened on a end of first half Hail Mary and the Browns corner did hold on to it. And it’s important to keep in mind Fields also missed 4 games this season
This is his best season so far and his production is getting better every year he also missed 4 games so that’s huge if they keep him they could have a bright future and he could be a pro bowler in 3 years max keep him and give him time

Pocket presence and awareness is awful? 😂 how do you think he evades so much would be sacks , half the time he gets sacked is a line melt down or more often coverage sacks. He is actually pretty good in the pass with decent pocket time , fields is a vertical passer not a hitch and out route QB which Getsy failed to understand.
He also could've thrown for 3500 of he didn't have 3 games were he couldn't reach 200 yards and 2 games of under 100. He had only ONE 300 yard game all year and only 3 games were he cracked 250. 4 games wouldn't have gotten him 1000 yards

Every time I watch this I keep thinking, really? You really want to get rid of a guy that can do these things? His ability to escape, his ability to throw the ball in windows, different angles, he makes so many difficult plays look easy… And you want to give up and start over again with a quarterback that has questionable character And runs away from problems? We "overrate" him because we watch the games and see what's actually going on. It's easy to look at a final score and blame the QB for a loss, but us Bears fans witnesses our defense give up 32 PPG for 15 straight games, and NFL record, while also having the 32nd ranked O Line and 30th ranked WR core during the 2022 season. He was the only person who was productive during that stretch, and he was the only reason the Bears were competitive in games while our defense was giving up all of those points every single week. Yet, the team finish the season going 7-6 since week 5, with 3 of those losses coming on absolute meltdowns by the coaches. The team let's Fields down more often than not, and that's why we want to keep him. Put an actual team around him and watch him flourish. He and Moore were the top ranked QB/WR duo this year. There's plenty of things you can point to that shows you why he's not the problem, nor has he ever been the problem.
These highlights should be evidence that Justin Fields isn’t the problem in Chicago, I hope he isn’t shipped off and Poles see this rebuild through. He did say it would be a 3 year rebuild and I’m hoping that with Fields showing you that he can overcome a shitty OC and an oline that’s flim flamy that he can see this rebuild through as well.

If the Bears decide to move on from Fields, I will trust Ryan Poles and his assessment. Personally, however, I think that would be a big mistake. People really don't understand how depleted of talent the Bears still are. We still don't have good OL depth. We don't have a competent center. The talent dropoff between Moore and Mooney, and Kmet and Tonyan is staggering. I know it sounds like excuses, but Fields absolutely can play, and not many QBs can overcome all these deficiencies at once. Fields still needs work, that much is certain. But this was always going to be a multi-year process when Ryan Poles took over and stripped down the roster. Not to mention that this dude is giving it his all each week and puts his body on the line. Love the kid, and hope he can continue to grow with the Bears.
fields lack of pocket awareness should scare you. Idk whos the QB coach but my god he should be banned from coaching football at any level. their #1 priority should be to improve his pass drop back footwork because its so slow, inconsistent every time and clumsy.
Justin Fields has made so many spectacular plays, that it almost looks so easy for him… And yet people keep focusing on the negative, but most of the losses were not all on him anyway… Many times the protection was bad, many times receivers weren’t open… You give him just enough time, give him more weapons, and this offense will get so much better and hopefully the OC will be a better choice to lead Justin Fields into the next few years of success… Hopefully they keep him instead of starting over again which makes no sense. Continuity matters, he’s only had less than two seasons playing as a starter under a different regime, coaches etc. They only had one viable number one receiver, a very good all-around tight end, but otherwise not much else, add more weapons, get some better blocking and depth, solidify the defensive line and this team could be a playoff team in a matter of a year or two… And that’s what you go with you don’t start over again take a couple more years to develop a quarterback that is an unknown in the NFL… You go with what you know, you keep the player that has so much promise, has such a high ceiling… His size, speed, athleticism, arm strength I’ll be honed into a much better and more professional NFL quarterback if you just have the patience. but the Chicago media and some fans just don’t understand the meaning of patience when it comes to quarterbacks which is why they struggle finding a qualified, really good quarterback for so many decades… They keep rushing it, they keep assuming that two years is enough time, the Packers have been preparing their quarterbacks for three or four years before they get to start a game… The Bears need to do the same thing and continue to develop fields for the next year or two and then make it because he has fully figured out the NFL game, once he has enough weapons and protection, he can be as good as anyone.

JUSTIN FIELDS is him !!! He is in my personal opinion, the Chicago Bears franchise QB , if that doesn’t prove anything then the last stretch of wins they have will , they should just build more around him and they have a solid foundation to get back into the playoffs in 2024-25
As a Bears fan, I hope they don't get rid of Justin Fields. He's our guy, he just needs to make quicker decisions on the field. The Bears will regret it if they get rid of Fields for an over-hyped rookie. Mark my words. 🐻⬇❤

Simply, he does far more for this team than a QB in this system should have to. It reminds me of when they criticized Neal Anderson and he was running and catching almost every play.
Fields is the guy for me. If it's not with the Bears I hope he wins a Superbowl ring somewhere else, somewhere that he's more appreciated. I feel that strongly about him that even if he lands with the Packers, or another team I hate, I'll be wishing for him to succeed. The problems we've had in 2023 lie firmly at the feet of the coaches. If Getsy is still here next year then we might as well give up. Please let us not waste 2 x 1st round picks on players that he'll misuse or ruin. The cheese heads must be rubbing their hands in glee that they've dumped him on us, got better themselves and prevented us from moving forward. Happy days in Wisconsin 😢

Every time I watch this I keep thinking, really? You really want to get rid of a guy that can do these things? His ability to escape, his ability to throw the ball in windows, different angles, he makes so many difficult plays look easy… And you want to give up and start over again with a quarterback that has questionable character And runs away from problems? I mean seriously, continuity matters, you have to keep working with a player who has so much talent, you don’t give up after two seasons as a starter… You go to year three and you see what happens after you acquire more talent and then you can make a really smart decision but what I see is a quarterback, if given proper guidance, can become a great quarterback for the Bears.it’s a pretty easy decision for me…

Nah we just see that true untapped potential so we may go overboard a little.
We "overrate" him because we watch the games and see what's actually going on. It's easy to look at a final score and blame the QB for a loss, but us Bears fans witnesses our defense give up 32 PPG for 15 straight games, and NFL record, while also having the 32nd ranked O Line and 30th ranked WR core during the 2022 season. He was the only person who was productive during that stretch, and he was the only reason the Bears were competitive in games while our defense was giving up all of those points every single week. Yet, the team finish the season going 7-6 since week 5, with 3 of those losses coming on absolute meltdowns by the coaches. The team let's Fields down more often than not, and that's why we want to keep him. Put an actual team around him and watch him flourish. He and Moore were the top ranked QB/WR duo this year. There's plenty of things you can point to that shows you why he's not the problem, nor has he ever been the problem.

These highlights should be evidence that Justin Fields isn’t the problem in Chicago, I hope he isn’t shipped off and Poles see this rebuild through. He did say it would be a 3 year rebuild and I’m hoping that with Fields showing you that he can overcome a shitty OC and an oline that’s flim flamy that he can see this rebuild through as well.
lol throwing to wide open guys isnt evidence. the guy lacks awareness in the pocket and anything after his first read he folds. His drop back foot work is beyond horrendous. He could be so much better with good coaching but even then his lack of awareness will hold him back.

If the Bears decide to move on from Fields, I will trust Ryan Poles and his assessment.
Personally, however, I think that would be a big mistake. People really don't understand how depleted of talent the Bears still are. We still don't have good OL depth. We don't have a competent center. The talent dropoff between Moore and Mooney, and Kmet and Tonyan is staggering. I know it sounds like excuses, but Fields absolutely can play, and not many QBs can overcome all these deficiencies at once.
Fields still needs work, that much is certain. But this was always going to be a multi-year process when Ryan Poles took over and stripped down the roster. Not to mention that this dude is giving it his all each week and puts his body on the line. Love the kid, and hope he can continue to grow with the Bears.
fields lack of pocket awareness should scare you. Idk whos the QB coach but my god he should be banned from coaching football at any level. their #1 priority should be to improve his pass drop back footwork because its so slow, inconsistent every time and clumsy.

Justin Fields has made so many spectacular plays, that it almost looks so easy for him… And yet people keep focusing on the negative, but most of the losses were not all on him anyway… Many times the protection was bad, many times receivers weren’t open… You give him just enough time, give him more weapons, and this offense will get so much better and hopefully the OC will be a better choice to lead Justin Fields into the next few years of success… Hopefully they keep him instead of starting over again which makes no sense. Continuity matters, he’s only had less than two seasons playing as a starter under a different regime, coaches etc. They only had one viable number one receiver, a very good all-around tight end, but otherwise not much else, add more weapons, get some better blocking and depth, solidify the defensive line and this team could be a playoff team in a matter of a year or two… And that’s what you go with you don’t start over again take a couple more years to develop a quarterback that is an unknown in the NFL… You go with what you know, you keep the player that has so much promise, has such a high ceiling… His size, speed, athleticism, arm strength I’ll be honed into a much better and more professional NFL quarterback if you just have the patience. but the Chicago media and some fans just don’t understand the meaning of patience when it comes to quarterbacks which is why they struggle finding a qualified, really good quarterback for so many decades… They keep rushing it, they keep assuming that two years is enough time, the Packers have been preparing their quarterbacks for three or four years before they get to start a game… The Bears need to do the same thing and continue to develop fields for the next year or two and then make it because he has fully figured out the NFL game, once he has enough weapons and protection, he can be as good as anyone.
