I remember watching this film as a 14-year-old boy then a Muslim, with my father. My father a Muslim, was stunned and marveled at this miracle. I can't forget the look on his face. he was moved by this miracle. I'm now 53 and a born again Christian. I gave my life when I was a teenager. And I am happy I made that live changing decision.

I was 5 or 6 years old when this amazing movie came out. Me and my 3 yr old sister cried 😢. How on earth did we know ? The Holy Spirit touched us at the age of innocence, beautiful 😍 ❤
I remember watching this as a kid when it was a mini series on NBC back in the mid 70's. Still one of the best versions around. It wasn't until years later that I was told about a small but significant characterisitc in this film. When JESUS is on screen...never to do you see Him blink. Gives you the true feeling that He is always watching over us unworthy servants.

But yes, it is true you get to see him in many scenes looking straight at the camera unblinking, what was very early on in Cinema used to have been always told actors to avoid and directors did stop them or cut off on scene or at editing. She could master it like no others trying it, people went to see her films just to get those moments...it was said men felt chest palpitations and fell off their seats, like women went to fill cinemas for those moments they felt connected to Rod Valentino and faintings ensued to many more, very emotionally sensitive. I saw born 6 years after this was film. I saw it for the first time when I think I was 3. My parents and family told me that this was the only thing I would watch as a child, on repeat.
No matter what color eyes my Lord Jesus Yeshua had is not significant ….I was so moved by this movie that I never went back into another direction...I was into buddhism, hinduism, different types of meditation retreats and never felt peace of mind until I came back to Jesus ….for me it was a confirmation that Jesus is lord of lords ...saviour and messiah....Jesus died for all of our sins.... we must all repent.

The Jews at the time believed that a person's soul hung around for 3 days after which the soul went to Heaven or elsewhere.That's why Jesus waited the 3 day period so everyone would accept Lazarus as to being dead.So,when Jesus called Lazarus forth,the miracle would be realized by the witnesses.This was also meant to foretell His(Jesus's) own Resurrection.

This is the best Jesus movie ever (it's a mini-series but still). And Robert Powell potrays Jesus perfectly. Amazing and convincing. The music is so emotional and deep. All the other actors do it so well too.

This was Jesus's finest miracle. Its in front of not only the disciples but the family of lazarus too. He proved his own philosophy of 'I am the resurrection and the life ". He raised lazarus up. Proving it. Secondly. The fulfilment of' I went to the country under the earth' is achieved too. Jesus walks from a high point down to the metaphorical mouth of darkness to bring back the soul.
Robert Powell's portrayal of Jesus is the most convincing and moving I've ever seen. I remember being 15 when this came out and have watched it many many times since. There's never a time that I'm not moved to tears. I hope that he realized the importance of this role and that his own heart is right with Jesus. It would be such a shame to be used of God in such a way and not know him.

I cried my heart out through out this movie
I remember watching this as a kid when it was a mini series on NBC back in the mid 70's. Still one of the best versions around. It wasn't until years later that I was told about a small but significant characterisitc in this film. When JESUS is on screen...never to do you see Him blink. Gives you the true feeling that He is always watching over us unworthy servants.

But yes, it is true you get to see him in many scenes looking straight at the camera unblinking, what was very early on in Cinema used to have been always told actors to avoid and directors did stop them or cut off on scene or at editing. It was a line crossed by Garbo, that was risky but made her career and became her trademark. She could master it like no others trying it, people went to see her films just to get those moments...it was said men felt chest palpitations and fell off their seats, like women went to fill cinemas for those moments they felt connected to Rod Valentino and faintings ensued to many more, very emotionally sensitive. In some moments the hair and make up applied to Powell, makes him appear like those early images of Christ in the Eastern Empire known as the Pantocrator. This scene moves me to tears..... it is such a powerful portrayal of the miracle.....I have no idea what it was like to witness this, but this evokes the feeling of AWE and WONDER that surely moved through the crowd when the Lord shouts 'Lazarus come forth!' and he exits the tomb....

The Jews at the time believed that a person's soul hung around for 3 days after which the soul went to Heaven or elsewhere.That's why Jesus waited the 3 day period so everyone would accept Lazarus as to being dead.So,when Jesus called Lazarus forth,the miracle would be realized by the witnesses.This was also meant to foretell His(Jesus's) own Resurrection.

This was Jesus's finest miracle. Its in front of not only the disciples but the family of lazarus too. He proved his own philosophy of 'I am the resurrection and the life ". He raised lazarus up. Proving it. Secondly. The fulfilment of' I went to the country under the earth' is achieved too.

Robert Powell's portrayal of Jesus is the most convincing and moving I've ever seen. I remember being 15 when this came out and have watched it many many times since. There's never a time that I'm not moved to tears. I hope that he realized the importance of this role and that his own heart is right with Jesus. It would be such a shame to be used of God in such a way and not know him.
