Why blocks the cam phaser in the retard position, which removes torque and increases fuel consumption for normal driving? Retarded the cam timing gives more power at high revs but takes away some at low revs so why lock it late? ??
To eliminate the VVT function, freeing up piston to valve clearance for much larger than stock camshaft durations.
i have a 5.3 getting swapped with 6.0 with vvt will this work instead of doing vvt delete?
