I have a 12 year old 20kw Generac Generator and it has been absolutely Trouble Free. I do my own maintenance yearly and I would highly recommend buying one. The auto connect when the power goes off and disconnect when the power returns removes the tension a power outage causes. Love It !!

Ya know, when power goes out and my Generac kicks in, I just turn up the volume on the television and keep on watching Yellowstone...

Normally the right side lowbeam is set just a little bit higher than the drivers side from the factory. That 1-2 inch difference is normal. Usually ( in a Toyota anyways ) one 5urn on the headlight adjustment screw will raise or lower the beam by 1 degree at about 25 feet. You didn’t show if you managed to get the cover back on the headlight housing. Since Toyota put the headlight bulb mounting hole “ off centre” in the housing in many cases the plastic cover can’t be put back on properly. I put Lasfit H11s in the lowbeam and 9005 s in the high beam of my son’s Buick Encore. The build wasn’t an LA I think it was a LC. The bulbs all wen5in easily except for the passenger side lowbeam. Due to a smaller opening in the housing the bulb was almost impossible to get into the hole because the wiring harness was up against the side of the inside of the housing. I removed the included gasket and put the halogen one on and it was still too tight. The Lasfit 4 bulb kit included two sets of even thinner gaskets. On3of those allowed the bulb to be screwed in. The lowbeams were almost like high beams so I lowered the adjustment screw two full turns. The beam is still further down the road than the lowbeam halogens were so I will lower it a couple more turns on the drivers side as he’s had a couple drivers flick their high beams at him. The Buick doesn’t have projector beams.

I don't care how loud my generator is. All my neighbors have dogs. So were even.

Great review...Thanks. My biggest concern is that we live in a residential neighborhood (like you do), and the noise of it running 24/7 until the power is restored may drive my neighbors crazy. Have you investigated any noise reduction options, such as a better muffler or housing to put over the unit?

Hi Guys, I've watched a few of your videos and must say I like your work. I am looking at replacing my L83 in a 2015 Silverado 1500 with a 416ci Gen V L86 (or LT) with new injectors fuel, oil and water pump of course. Could you advise on best place to source a long block? I've found a few but some are set up for boost with lower compression. Keeping it NA so don't need that. Or is this the type of build you guys do.

How much torque was that wrench set to for the bolts ?

So I installed mine but the sequential turn signal is not working, it only gives me solid amber light when blinking.

I was interested to see where they laid in the port injectors on a NA motor. Others I’ve seen have the port in the blower manifold.

Generac I purchased one 8 years ago, works fine except when it breaks down. I was to get a $50 reward for recommending another that purchased, Generac Coned me out of that reward by not paying it, otherwise a good investment.

No issue with you or what you did but I do have an issue with Generac and the noise these generators put out. The old ones were smaller but much quieter and they do have the technology to make them quieter

So who installed your Generator. I noticed that the bonding wire between the neutral and the ground bar is still installed on the transfer switch. You might want to ask a local qualified electrician about it, by code that wire should be removed. The disconnect that is directly supplied by the meter can have the neutral bonded to the ground. The transfer switch is considered a sub panel and should not be bonded.

Home Assistant + Genmon + CasOS + USR-TCP232-306 . If you have a spare PC or a Raspberry PI, then the entire cost is $30 . No monthly /yearly fees. If you use a Raspberry Pi you don't even need the USR-TCP232-306 , which is what cost the $30. The cost to maintain ( oil, 2 plugs, and a filter) cost less than $20.

I do hate my neighbor for making so much noise when power outage. We were out of power for 5 days and the noise from neighbor across the street was absolutely horrible.

What about is the maintenance free through out the warranty
