I own a 2008 e85 3.0si and had the backbox delete first thing when i got the car and i loved it since. It can be quiet when you want, but loud when you floor it!
As a mature Z4 owner I will rather keep my car as standard as I consider pop/bang to be on top of the chav list, an Eisenmann exhaust may be an option for me. All to their own, I cannot be upsetting my neighbours as I live in a small cul de sac.
Had a BMW 330 e46 with eisenman race exhaust, best sounding car I owned. For now I have z4 3.0 with stock exhaust and Im just sad everytime a rev it... Eisenman is so expensive so thinking of a ebay exhaust for 400 dollars.
I think it sounds awesome!! Purists will always say you shouldn't do it but im sure your aware of that lol. I have a 2.0 e85, im wondering how much difference a back box delete will make to mine now
Hi, I have had the back box removed on my Z4 3Li and it's now far too loud and drones. Wish I had left it as it was. I'm thinking of having a smaller muffler fitted to quieten it down a bit but don't want to throw more money at it without results. I just want it to sound more like a sports car and not a boy racers piece of junk.
trying to figure out what to do with mine to make it sound cooler, i have a z4 2.5LI, would back box removal sound bad in that too you think, if it would, any ideas on what i should do?
Hi Ben.The big z4s have so so so much character.Great looking great sounding. The 3.0i strangely does sound better than the 3.0 si.Both sound magnificent though.God I want a coupe..Great fun video mate👍👍👍😉
If you own a car show and it’s all about the car... make sure you dot the i’s and cross the t’s.... present a clean car! And pops and bangs... not on my Z4! 😄
@@be1441 even better excuse to hose it down. Salt corrodes the car’s undercarriage. I’m sorry. I just subscribed to your channel an I own a black Z4M Coupe myself and I admire it so much it woes me. Probably OCD 😂
I liked the video and your editing / enthusiasm , but all those pops and bangs from a car like the Z4 are not in keeping with the ethos of the vehicle. Save that chavvy crap for 1.0 Fiestas and ST’s. Imo an e86 should be left alone, it’s a classic design and all of these ‘mods’ (cheap wheels, budget tyres, crap coilovers and straight piping the exhaust) is frankly cringeworthy and just cheapens the look and feel of the car. Edit: I feel the audience of a video like this would enjoy enjoy watching the car being restored to its former glory (new OEM parts, detailing / refurbishing etc which is a little more unique and would provide interesting content moving forward. (All imo of course)
@Rubedo Alaberti I was only providing constructive feedback. And ultimately it’s only my opinion. If you enjoy this kind of modification that’s fair enough 🙂 I just personally don’t think this kind of content suits the car or is especially conducive to increasing view count.
Ben: 'A straight piped roadster'
Its joel: 'you talking bout me ben aren't you?'
Guilty 😅
Want a deeper sounding roadster to listen to ;) lol
Can't beat an inline 6 with a back box delete. I used to have a 323 e46 with a 30 quid straight pipe and it sounded insane

Gosh I love the si coupe
"Ive never been under the car"? Common man...:)
The cats are in the manifold though!
Can you just get a portion of sound deadening removed? I'd like a bit of gruff but not droning or uzi sounds. Got a 3.0si

If your cats are actually gone that can be tuned out so the light isn't on. Same with the O2 sensors.
Everybody want’s these days pops&bangs...
That’s for me the only reason I’ll never have this... Unless it’s standard.
sounds like a knackered tractor.

I backbox deleted my 2.0. It was very raspy and didn't sound anywhere near as good as the bmw straight 6
@@be1441 yeah I thought it might be a tad raspy. Will have to see if I can find some footage of one done. Thanks for the info 🤙
So a back box delete alone will make pops and bangs?
Yes on the 6 cylinder engines 👌🏼

what are the rims on the black one and which sizes?
18”. They are CS style wheels from cm wheels
@@be1441 thanks!, you are driving them in 18 x 8 offset 40 & 18 x 9 offset 48 ?
I cut the back box off my 2003 Z4 IT SOUNDS GREAT AND BETTER FUEL MILEAGE
Like the parka jacket pal where did u get it form?
Footasylum

it's a winters day and the roads are salty...
too much bass ;)
Why are the cars so dirty for the video? 🤷🏻♂️🥴
Probably cause its winter and the roads are all salty 🤷♂️

Sounds broken.
Boring, what's the point here, a question is asked and no actual conclusion...
Thanks for watching
