Thank you for this great gift Bhante. Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu! Anumodami. 🌻☀🌻
As one who has read H.P. Lovecraft, It’s a great Joy to know there are actually quite the opposite kind of beings to “Eldritch Horrors” abiding in the depths of Space & Consciousness. What a relief.
    😌🙏
I find recollection of Queen Samavati foremost in Loving-kindness, as a Non-Returner Ariya Deva in the Pure Abodes fantastically inspiring.
Are Non-Returners also considered Brahmas & therefore gender-neutral? Would Queen Samavati still be known as such in the Pure Abodes?
Thank you & Be Well Venerable Sir.

I asked a question in my mind, "breath meditation is the type promoted as the meditation taught by the buddha, I wonder if he also taught visualisation, mantra or others", and today you appeared in my suggested videos, and so good, thank you, I am going to enjoy going through all of your videos. Since my last samadhi I don't watch much of anything unless it is this type of talk, I am fortunate in that I also live alone.

anyone who mistakes the negation of functioning existent persons as authentic vipassana is to be spurred.
correct view as lord buddha explained it is that the existent person exists, and is not the same as body and mind nor separate than body and mind. nevertheless the existent person functions in the world and with their own experiences. whereas those who negate functioning persons assert that only impersonal processes exist in the world devoid of 'i', mistaking the existent 'i' as the self to be negated, which the buddha taught is nihilism and extremely harmful.

@pewin7, The images are culturally bound (Thai in this case) and they are imagination of various artists. Your own imagination is as good as anyone's. It is the qualities of devas that count, not the looks, but having a graphical reference may be helpful to some people.

Is there any method of contacting a Deva, at least in a manner that has direct reciprocity?

I don't understand the graphic at 17:05. It says "4th Jhana Brahmas" and that there is "one only for entire cosmos". But how can that be if it says "brahmaS" (plural)? Ajahn also said "brahmaS (of great fruit)". So, are there more than one or not?

Hi @JayBowen, I saw your comment only now, and I don't think Ajahn looks here often. I'm the one who made the video but the schematic that I used, with Brahma & Jhana levels, is Ajahn's, and even though I think I can answer your question, I don't think it should be me -- maybe you can ask Ajahn at one of his live-streams (on Thursdays at 6 pm ET, here: th-cam.com/channels/xFJivkktIisM6wFxkNFS_Q.html)
