I don't think is dead, but is definetely not evolving (at least in a significant way) anymore. What we have today is mainly a repetition of what was done from the early 70's until the mid 90's.
This is an imitation of early 80s heavy/power metal - their sound, the way they dress and even the lyrics 'we are defenders of steel!' Seriously is this a Manowar parody ?
BIG THANKS FOR THIS ;) I remember watching this live on my 100" projector at home in Australia. Amazing show.. for me the best metal band ive ever heard... those vocals !!!! and thunderous riffs and beats.. 3 guys make the sound of a nordic god!!
Ahhha what a performance !!!,,,it's reeking energy spirit and power from the ancient past. It's goose-bumping hair raising and spine chilling metal mood. And the crowd hymned at the end for the band showed their inner respect for fascinating Grand Magus. Hail thy Warriors.
Shit, I remember being too late for this show. We were hearing them from the distance as we entred the area but we needed to change our tickets for bracelets first. I think we didn't even made it to the stage for the last song :D But gladly I saw their show last year at another festival. But the Rock Hard Festival is always so great! Edit: Okay, we made it to the last song. Found myself standig in the crowd lol. Good for me!
Great upload, many thanks. Any way you could put up time stamps in the information bar so you can skip to certain songs, or at least just know what songs are on the set list?
The sound is very bad on this recording, Have seem them live and can confirm they sound great, this does not do them justice. Certain things here sound a little flat and the singer's volume is a bit low, probably combination of being an outdoor gig and poor recording equipment. Admittedly he does seem to miss a note here and there. Sorry if this was a bit of a ramble, I always hate it when good bands end up with bad sound at festivals, have even seen big names like Slayer fall victim to poor festival sound.
