Well based on his response when they asked him if he liked her, he definitely did, so this outcome was far worse. His dad just sabotaged him. If she had expressed interest back, it at least would've made for a funny story, since he could explain that his dad was trying to mess with him but didn't realize he actually liked her, so his dad inadvertently helped them out.
I disagree, I think it's kinda obvious that he likes her so it's worse that she said no. But the good part is that he can just blame it on his dad and he has proof so the relationship will probably be fine.

I think younger people generally have 100s of tabs open because it’s stuff we intend to look at at some point (whether we do or not is another story lol), whereas Boomers don’t understand tabs at all and so never close any. My mum will have like 5 tabs of the exact same website open and when I tell her to close tabs she asks how. lol
