For those who are curious. The low prices were a stipulation by the previous owners of the park before they agreed to sell it to the city. They wanted everyone to be able to continue to enjoy it. The city still honors the agreement and keeps the prices low. There is also a wildlife sanctuary and educational center right next to it that are good places to visit as well.

I've been going to this park for a few years now, especially since it's near my girlfriend. Sadly, Falling Star and Bay Beast, the small bounce tower, are currently being removed. Everything else is still riding great! The Scrambler is also getting renovated! This is a wonderful value of a park, and that ejector hill near the end of Zippin Pippin is just insane! And there are pelicans in the bay! I remember when you'd never see them this far north!
They have a nice collection of older rides.
I can't help falling in love in the ghetto with the shake, rattle, and zippin of the pippin. It's like a dream with a V8 engine! Man what a great ride (:

I'm glad you compared Bay Beach to Knoebel's, but the latter is certainly a larger park with more attractions, so it's more likely to attract out-of-staters. What they both have in common is that old amusement park openness, so that everyone in a family can go together, including tiny kids and grandparents, without having to pay a ridiculous price just to walk in. Since corporate parks are all about profits, they don't care how overpriced anything is, or who they leave out of the fun. I wish there were more of both of these parks.

I went to bay Beach almost every summer from elementary to highschool..my extended family lives in the green bay area and it was a must every trip..zipping pippin is a great coaster and bay beach will always have a strong place in my life

Very good review, have family in the Fox Valley, so go yearly. Another thing that might Lure people to the park, is just two hours north is Door County, while it doesn't have coasters it is known as the cape cod of the Midwest and is very beautiful. We go there for a few days to. They have boating, hiking, lots of cool beach stuff and things to do. No chains either, even for a coaster lover like us, its a great break in the middle of a good MidWest Coaster trip to relax for a few days, and you have to drive past Bay Beach From Mount Olympus to get to it, so why not stop, do the Pippin, spend a few days in Door county, then head down to Great America and Indiana Beach

@@CanobieCoaster Most people don't. Next time you go, look it up. Its the Cape Cod of the Midwest, Beautiful beaches, forests, light houses, the Historic Washington Island, if coaster people like a Drink the Island has Nelsons Pub where bitters were invented, lavender farms, historic things to do and eat. Even a coaster lover would love it. Wanna dine and have lunch and a malt or a cone at a Soda Fountain thats been there since 1919? Door County has that. If your doing the big midwest coaster loop, its worth a stop for a few days, recharge then get back on the trip to more parks.
Really wish more cities would get behind having amusement parks like this. It’s something I wouldnt mind my taxes going to instead of bloated salaries for the trustees or a random millage for yet another basketball and tennis court.

The low prices are amazing.
The repeat business a lot of families will go there more then 6 times a year because of how cheap it is. When I was a kid being lower middle class we went almost 12 times a year. But I don't think the park is about making $$ it's about giving people a cheap fun time

Bay beach just raised their prices now. Almost all rides went up by 1 ticket but Zippin pippin went up by 2
Still worth it.

I heard those prices, and I was like "really? How do they stay open." I would call this "Dollar Menu Syndrome," or maybe "Penny Candy Syndrome." 😂
I don't think this park aims to turn a big profit like most parks given they're owned by the own.

were you able to get the famed ejector death hill coming back into the station? i saw one shot you were on a pretty empty train and usually it only happens when it fills up and gets really hauling.

I think the only rides i havent been on yet here is every kiddie ride the old ferris wheel and the slide, it wasnt open when i went there the last few times unfortunately :/

This park is in Green Bay, Wisconsin yet it has no attractions themed to the Green Bay Packers? That's messed up.
It would be cool if they did that and I imagine it may be possible since the town owns both the park and team.
