I bought my 2014 used with 28500 miles on it in June of 2020 from the estate of the original owner. Truck has 40500 miles on it now. Zero issues and still entirely happy with the truck. Ran 14.28 @ 92.5 mph at Mission Raceway bone stock with a 250 pound topper and the spare in place. Good value for the money.
I have a 2017 RT. Red just like the one he was showing. It has 100k, runs and drives perfect. Did have to put a new water pump but other than that no issues. Love it.
My son started college in 2023 and I bought him a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Express Hemi regular cab short bed with the 3.92 rear and LSD. It is extremely fast off the line. In fact much faster than my 2015 Mustang GT PP with a manual transmission.
@@REALD3DO My son loves the truck but the fuel economy is horrible as a commuter vehicle and I hate the choppy ride of the short wheelbase but I bought it to keep him safe in the event of a crash.
My 2015 Granite Metallic has 175,000 miles on it and still looks and runs like new! I have Ramboxes just like this one. Switched mine to 20X10 rims with 285X50 V rated tires . Also have 2X4 Bell Tech drop . Rides and drives great and is easier to get in and out of after being lowered. Other mods include Stainless Works Long Tube Headers and their quiet exhaust, JLT Cold Air Kit and a 93 octane canned tune. I live out in a rural area and run the hell out of it. It gets 15.5 on the Interstate driving 80.
i love this truck. Its beautiful. I was negotiating for a Red 2015, and ended up with a white 2016 for $200 more. 30K plus TnL. Great Deal. The size and weight are perfect, and if you take care of it, that 5.7 hemi will run forever.
It has nothing to do with the exchange rate. The price was the same up here when the CAD and USD were at parity a few years ago. That's just the pricing for the market.
I have a 14 ram rt and going from florida to Pennsylvania i averaged 22mpg while living in florida i averaged weekly 26mpg and i was always picking fights with mustangs and challengers daily and still got great city mpgs
Absolutely love my 15 R/T. I Could not help but notice Ram went back to the chrome rings around the projectors... When I first went to order my truck I was disappointed that the 15s came with the black rings around the projector, now I've come to really love the blacked out projectors... And I cannot seem to find the headlights with the black ring anymore... My old coworker said that Ram actually snuck the new headlights in the 15s without getting the OK from DOT (or whoever certifies the headlights for on road use), and that's why the had to go back to the chrome rings around the projector... Can anyone confirm that? If I ever need to replace a headlight assembly, will I need to buy the chrome ring projectors?
I’ve been having mine since 2014 and I’ve been planing on selling an now that I’ve seen this video the last part (25 years from now) that made me not want to sell it so I’m not …but I will be getting a Rebel soon and have 2 trucks 😁
Hey David! Yep, before I was ever at TFL I was working with my dad and my brother here at Truck King. This is also my new permanent home. I've moved on from TFL and plan to upload TONS of new truck content here in the future, so stay tuned.
Ehh... Classic? Just make a Tradesman 4x2 with chrome package, and skip the dopy heavy 22"s for comfortable 17"s and save $20K! Add $800 for aftermarket leather and the same truck.
You could build it - but it still wouldn't be an R/T. It would be like all these people riding around with a fake Shelby, fake 69' SS camaro etc. There's a considerable difference between a classic collectible and a knock off. Not saying this truck makes much sense for most people but neither did super birds etc back in the day. Only time will tell.
Untill Ram, calls it a Lil Red Express, its just a Sport model with an R/T sticker on it. S/C it and put a Hellcat sticker then maybe it'll be part of the, collectible trucks... 454SS, Lightning, Lil Red Express. etc. Otherwise, whoppidy doo. :)
Robert Landeche you can buy it in a 4x4. If your looking for a single cab 4x4 I'd buy the express. It come with a jump seat so you can ride with 3 people if necessary. It wasn't mentioned in the video, but the r/t has the full center console.
R/T was only sold in USA and Canada as a 2WD truck. There is a Sport 4x4 version that is 4x4 but it’s has different suspension and can not get the 22” rims.
5K lb towing!? That doesn't make sense. Did you try to see what kind of MPGs (or L/100km) you could get? What exactly makes it an RT other then wheels and tires? Is it lower? Stiffer sway bar?
@@d3miiig0d46 I don't think it is... it's a regular cab, short box ram... maybe a little lowered, bucket seats and badges. What else makes it mainly for racing?

That’s cool man! I just purchased one a few months back, a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Express with the same options as your sons XD

i really enjoyed this review. You guys definitely deserve more subs.
I love my white 17’ R/T. Such beautiful trucks!!
$51,000? Here in Texas you can drive off the lot in one for $36,000. Most I've heard of someone paying is $40,000.
The Canadian Dollar is garbage right now.
It has nothing to do with the exchange rate. The price was the same up here when the CAD and USD were at parity a few years ago. That's just the pricing for the market.
Of course it also reflects the 75 cent value of a Canadian dollar. After exchange there is also dealer mark up because so few came to Canada
in colorado its 25 k
@@vanessahernandez8532 I would imagine Colorado not a big market for 2wd pickups
Thumbs up for awesome comments about having toys. Hello from Seattle.
I love my 2017 rt first owner and still own her she’s amazing
I think his prediction is on point. I believe that model he showed will be a sought-after classic.
Awesome! love my 2016 RAM R/T! nice Review! 👍 for being in Ontario Canada!
Not a Dodge truck fan, but there's no arguing about Hemi power.

One of the best reviews I’ve ever seen, Of anything really 👌🏻
Wow, thanks!
nice vid lol this truck is sexyer than my first 3 wifes lol
Absolutely love my 15 R/T.

looked at the specs, and it said it could pull 8,500 pounds.A Ford geo can pull 5,000.The price is 37 for a RT,too.
Nope. The R/T is 5030 pounds towing. You likely looked at the non-R/T regular cab, short box, 2WD truck which is rated at 8500 pounds.
@@davidnicol8997I think it’s the wheel combo and tuning that does that because it has the gears

51 damn in the US you can get them for 33
that was $38K USD at the time
I'm pretty sure it's ZF trans, not a Torqueflite.

5000 lb towing? Thats less than the challenger
Can you used it on the snow?
why would you?
$51,000???
Did the dealer have a gun???
You can go out the door for 35K without much of a beef. My cousin just did.
North of the border we simply pay more than you do. Sad, but true.
Damn shame....

Hahahahaha
38K USD at the time
Can you get the r/t with 4WD?
not in USA or Canada but yes in Mexico
Why not in usa? 😲
Nice video can’t do a burnout tho
Oh, it does a mighty burnout, thay was sad what they did .
how much it weights and does it come in AWD or 4WD

Angeline & Glen Comeau ????? Are you serious lmao
Angeline & Glen Comeau it comes with 4.10 gears and 2600stall converter..yeah you can put that on regular but you be wasting more money.
the low tow rating is due to the rims. The exact same spec 2wd ram with 20" rims is rated at 9000lbs
22 inch chrome rims 90lbs each, on a sport truck a waste. go with 20 inch ally wheels
swoosh50 aluminum
Facts are off lol a toyota with a 4 banger can tow 5000 pounds
51,000 shit the truck cost 37,000 ...
guero palma But remember he said "as it is" which means that truck probably has some extra features. And i think there in Canada im not sure.
I'm not gonna say it isn't a fun truck but, if that's your idea of a road toy you need to live a little.
