AZKi was formerly a member of INNK music, an offshoot of Hololive. A while back she was transferred over to Hololive after INNK was disolved, she's also gotten a new model so she looks fairly different. Also, some of them aren't singing cause they weren't available to record for this song, but it was made to introduce all of the current members, so they were still included.

If you thought Aqua was adorable, you should listen to her song "aqua color pallete". It's basically a massive heartfelt letter of gratitude for her fans. Of course there are other songs but that one is my favorite.

With the MK tournament back in 2021 where she was fully expected to get her back-to-back champion then lost to suisei by a point and cried her heart out on stream.. Then basically the next day had her 1M subs celebration stream with the mario kart loss expectations still riding on her, she tried to sing Aquairo Palette and just lost herself in more tears. I can't. I love the song but it still makes me tear up hearing it lol.

However, when COVID hit, Japan closed its borders to prevent the spread of the virus into the country. Haato got stuck outside the border, which led to the extended Australia stay and consequently the birth of her Haachama alter-ego as a coping response to (1) being stranded in a foreign country (2) that is known for giant poisonous bugs and animals (3) while having no preparation to do so in terms of food, lodging, or general finances.
Yeah, Korone was either sick or didn't see the memo (couldn't remember which), Haachama was away in Australia, Coco got confused because she didn't know it was a song so she didn't join, and Fubuki had other Hololive Projects that she couldn't join.

So far, Hololive Gen 5 (HoloFive/NePoLaBo), Hololive Gen 6 (HoloX), Hololive Indonesia Gen 1 (Area 15), Hololive Indonesia Gen 2 (Holoro), and Hololive English Myth and Council have done separate videos of their Ochame Kinou covers and this song has become a tradition for most new Gens to sing. Maybe you can listen to them as a part 2 to this video?
For various reasons, a few members unfortunately could not record their parts for this song. Inugami Korone, Akai Haato (Haachama), Kiryu Coco, and Shirikami Fubuki. They've all got original songs and covers that they do great versions of!

As I'm getting to this Vid early today I'll share some interesting stuff. At the time of this Cover's release Hololive's JP Branch only had generations 0 to 4, All the girls in this MV; except for Flare of Gen 3 and all of Gen 4, were animated using their 3D models. Of the girls shown two of them are sadly no longer a part of Hololive, those two being Kiryu Coco and Uruha Rushia. The original version of this song was made using the UTAUloid Kasane Teto, what is an UTAUloid you ask? Basically a free software version of VOCALoids created by fans of VOCALoids, it pretty hard to find the original these days. Hololives 5th and 6th JP generation also did a cover each of this song, as did all of Hololive EN; MYTH, Project HOPE, and COUNCIL.
To add to this if you ever wanted to look back at the two members who have left Hololive. You'll be able to look back at Kiryu Coco's stuff as she "Graduated" I.e. retired from Hololive on amicable terms. Unfortunately the situation was not the same for Uruha Rushia as she was "Fired." And as a result her YT channel was wiped clean of all content. Though I have no doubt that someone out there has uploaded her VODs or MVs somewhere as at one point in time she was Hololive's biggest earner in superchats.

Man, that's a blast from the past! That cover came out before EN was even a thing. That was such a different landscape. 4th Gen and Flare didn't even have 3D avatars yet. Since you said about missing a lot of members right during Aki's Part I will recommend her original song Shallys.
Btw, during the intermission in the song, most of those 3D clips were from a sorta anime show they do on the main channel called "Holo no Graffiti" Or "HoloGra" for short. It's mostly super absurdist comedy with tons of references to each members either lore, or stuff that has happened during their streams. It would make for great reaction content btw, there's quite a lot of episodes to go through since they make a new one each week, and it has been going for a few years.

This song was how I got myself familiar with Hololive members back when I first got exposed to this rabbit hole myself and is good for getting an idea oh exactly how large this group is. This video includes a couple members that unfortunately are no longer active, and was released before their 5th and 6th generations debuted so there is still more to discover! Highly recommend checking out the EN version of this song as well, they did great in this! Also, of the girls in this that were unable to voice their parts in time for this (hence why they were quiet) I highly recommend checking out Kiryu Coco's "Weather Hackers". AZKI is also from Gen 0, she and Suisei were part of the same musical branch, that was one of AZKI first models, she just recently joined Hololive proper so not many know about her but she is an amazing singer, and has a lot of Collab songs with other members. Regarding the cheeky part each gen tends to have a Kusogaki (cheeky brat sort of). The animations you saw are from Hologra which are short animations anime style made on Hololive's main channel, you should watch them they tend to have subtitles. Also would like t recommend Omaru Polka's cover of Envy Baby!

I can absolutely agree with you, hololive is just..fun. The most heartwarming community I was ever part of, just good vibes, fun stuff and always just..good The ones not singing missed the recording date for various reasons, like not being in the country or straight up ignoring it as they didn't understand the mail they got for it If you love Aquas voice so much you have to listen to "aqua color palette" ! its one of my all time favorite songs and has bis nostalgic value to me already since it was the first song I found after joining the community also there are more ochame kinou versions out there since this one only has gen0-4 of the jp members, EN, ID and the of JP have done their own versions aswell
The blond elf with floating twin tails is Aki Rosenthal. She was legitimately one of the most obscure Hololive members for a long time, but back in 2020 she got a big boost through a very uplifting fan project on Reddit aimed at gaining her more support. She's a really good dancer, a frequent guest on the main Hololive channel, and her 3D lives are well known for their excellent quality. "Wonder Shower Musical" I think is legitimately in the top ten Hololive concerts of all time, and might even be in the top five.
Ayame Nakiri on a thumbnail? Awesome choice! You won't find more cuteness (well, maybe Mumei can compete with her in that aspect). It's now time for Ochame Kinou in EN and ID versions, maybe on a stream or maybe as another video? Of course, it will still be the same song, but the performance of other talents from the hololive like Gura and Calii or Moon and Risu should convince you to listen to it again but in their version. And then, of course, it's worth checking out more group songs whether specific ones like Myth, Council or more general ones. I would like to recommend Nanashi Mumei with her song A New Start. We know you adore Gura, and Mumei is called Gura's sister or twin because of her very similar voice (which even they get confused, I recommend clips of it) and having a similar sense of humor, and it is sometimes said that they share the same brain cell. On top of that, Mumei is also very talented when it comes to singing. And the song itself, A New Start, is brilliant both musically and animation-wise. Covering this song is a bit of a tradition across hololive, newer gens of Hololive have sung this as a group. All of Hololive En sung it as well, fun cover, and the same goes for Holo ID 1 and 2. You said you liked Pekora's voice? unfortunately I don't know which song to recommend atm (possibly the Peko rap? her cover of the Alphabet song?) but I want to say that Pekora loves doing music but imo she is more of a content-making genius, everything she does is hilarious and her collabs with Marine are so much fun as well, they have a nice opposites-chemistry. I was glad to see you notice AZKi in this! If you're interested in her music, she has an original song "Inochi" which is a perfect entry point, or a song with Suisei called "The Last Frontier" which I think you will absolutely love. Her music catalogue is pretty much endless, and every single song is wonderful.
You should check out “Can you do the Hololive?” Beyond the stage version part 1+2. It’s a song watame made with the intros of all the holomem at the time, which goes up to gen 5 of JP, gen 1 of EN and gen 2 of ID, and they all perform their parts in the beyond the stage version
Not sure if you noticed the tiny blue haired lady that often pops dancing up in the bottom corners (first seen 1:38 in this video, 0:27 in the original). That is "Employee A" or A-chan for short. Basically, Hololive's origin story is that Tokino Sora and her best friend A-chan approached Motoaki "Yagoo" Tanigou, the CEO of the tech company COVER Corp to use his new VR technology to make Sora a virtual idol. Thus, Sora became the first idol in the company that would eventually become Hololive, and A-chan became the company's first employee, hence "Employee A". Nowadays, A-chan acts as the public face for all of the behind-the-scenes staff members, managers, producers, etc. while also generally filling those management/producer roles, herself.

The memories. This was the first Hololive video I ever saw and I didn't think I would fall into the rabbit hoe. But then the clips got me! I watched the PekoMiko looney toon battles, suicopath clips, wataoji moments, and the little duck that could.
Indeed Choco has lovely assets :P Her personality definitely plays off it too. Just to temper expectations, Hololive is entertainment in general, so not all members are big on the musical space. But as another comment mentioned, most of them have at least one banger original song.

I forget, I think she may have had a prior commitment. 5:43 AZKi and the rest of 'generation 0' didn't have generation marks by their names: AZKi, Sora, Roboco, Miko, and Suisei. AZKi is primarily a singer and only streams occasionally. This is also her older model, and she looks pretty different nowadays. And since you like Suisei and Towa so much, I definitely recommend Kanata (who has an amazing range) and Okayu (who also has a deeper, very smooth voice). Man I've been loving watching your reactions to Hololive! Found you on your Suisei's First Take reaction and I LOVED your enthusiasm! Might I ask if you've seen "Can You Do the Hololive?" yet? It's a song made by Watame to introduce all members(at that time) with their intro which was from Gen 0-4 before the debut of 5th, but Hololive made an official version that includes up to Hololive ID Gen 2. Would love to see you react to it if you haven't yet! To be specific, you can google "can you do the hololive watame" for the original version where Watame does all the greetings, and there's "Can You Do the hololive? Beyond the Stage ver. [STAGE1+2 edit]" which is the updated one where each member does their own voices. EDIT: Since I rarely comment on YT, might as well add more for this one haha I'd also love to see you react to both "hololive summer shiny smily story". There's two versions of it, one back in 2019, and a newer one in 2022. They're both just 1:44 long so it should be easy to find.
The crazy thing to consider is that with EN, ID and two more JP generations since this, this is less than half of them. I’ve always found it funny that the four who didn’t show up for this are four of the five (alongside Miko, with her hugely viral clips) I would directly credit with first helping to make Hololive popular in the west. Haachama was the first Hololive member who could speak some English, Fubuki had lots of great meme moments and Korone’s cuteness was constantly clipped. Then there was Coco, who was fully fluent in English, had all the memes, and basically laid the ground work for Holo EN to be a thing. Despite missing the four, this video instantly became huge with fans all over and is now regarded as a theme of sorts for Hololive, to the point that new generations since always have to record their own version.
I remember when this was really big like everyone listed to this a lot. Other generations/branches have also covered Ochame Kinou by group as it's become a thing so you might wanna watch those, too. Sad not all of the members in the video are still here but if you're further in the rabbit hole, you'd find them again elsewhere. Hololive have their own anime shorts series called HoloGraffiti on their official channel you might wanna check out (the clips on the instrumental part of this video is from that series). There are so many Hololive members in different generations and branches you haven't seen them all yet and many of them have great original songs/covers. You could also check out Holostars (the boy group counterpart of Hololive).
Ochame Kinou, the Hololive anthem and welcoming song. It is basically a rite of passage for all the new generations. Also at 2:15 yes you barely scratched the surface of what there is to discover in terms as talent. People will more likely recommend you the most popular/exposed talents so you're going to miss out on some real gems (and I'm not even talking necessarily about hidden gems but some talents like Sora / Azki). I know it's the rules of the channel and it's the people who decide, but I have to admit that it's sometimes frustrating (although I understand that the number of talents to cover can be overwhelming at first). So I hope that with time you will have the opportunity to know those gems. *On that note, small suggestion for your Tuesday Hololive streams on Twitch: why at the end of each watch-along won't you react to the songs that were submitted to the previous vote but didn't earn their place for a reaction on TH-cam? That way you already have content ready - instead of randoms clips - and we, the viewers, get what we voted for (at least some of us)*
Ochame Kinou is basically Hololive anthem song now... everytime a new gen debut, they usually do this cover song. you might want to check out ID and EN version too.
It has become a tradition of sort for a new generation that debuted to cover this song. This cover was released when Hololive was still only up to JP gen 4. JP gen 5 and 6 have their own cover of the song. As well as Hololive ID branch, and of course EN branch.
I'm glad you enjoyed this song. We, in the rabbit hole, affectionately refer to this song as the "Hololive Anthem". This version only has 24 members because at the time Hololive was that small, only generations 0-4 + Gamers. Since then they added 5th and 6th generations to the Japan branch, as well as 2 brand new branches: Hololive English with 2 generations + IRyS (Myth + CouncilRyS), and Hololive Indonesia with 3 generations of their own! And EACH of those newly added branches and generations since then has made their OWN cover of this song as well!
This song is a good way to figure out which Hololive talents are in what generation in the Japan branch of Hololive. The groups of five that you see them together as are each of the generations that debuted together. The only exception is the one group of four are called Hololive Gamers and they're not part of the generation count. Hololive JP gen 5 and gen 6 have their own version of this song, as well as Hololive Indonesia and Hololive English. It's worth viewing those videos as well to learn who those talents are.
I highly recommend checking out Kiryu Coco who was part of Gen 4 Hololive, and is considered to be a legendary member from Hololive. Two songs I’d recommend from her would be Weather Hackers and Kiseki Musubi (the second of the two has translated lyrics in the captions and is done with the entire 4th Gen group)
From what I understand, Korone overslept - this was around the time where her short streams were 12 hours, Haachama (Akai Haato) was studying in Australia, Fubuki was overworking herself and her manager forced her to take a break and Coco thought it was a tech test and didn't bother to come in to record. The final non-speaking one, Coco, is an absolute legend. You have her to thank for convincing YAGOO to open an English branch. She's the very reason why vtubing caught on in the west.
Ive been watching your Hololive reactions for a while now and Ive been having fun! You bring alot of supporting energy. I would love it immensely if you could react to "Weather Hackers" by Kiryu Coco. Both the "Safe" and "Coco" versions. (There are two versions, one with safe lyrics and one with Lyrics meant for Coco) Coco graduated from Hololive on July 1st 2021 and we miss her every day. My dream is that every new Hololive fan learns about Coco's legacy as the strongest Dragon Kaichou. Tatsunokos never leave because Kiryu Kai is forever. Thank you for your positivity and keep it up!
I also forgot to mention that Coco is in this Ochame Kinou cover, but she doesn't sing due to reasons. I believe this was done during the time when Coco still vehemently refused to sing, but also there's a rumor that she overslept and missed the recording. lol As a proud forever Tatsunoko, I can admit Coco doesn't have the most traditionally "good" singing voice, but she put a lot of practice in to get better, and we love her expression and enthusiasm and will support her no matter what!
If you like the "cheekiness" you should check out their weekly animation comedy shorts. Its called HoloGraffiti (HoloGra for short)... theres a playlist on the HololiveOfficial TH-cam channel (and YES there are english subtitles) with like 200 something episodes now i think.. and theyre usually like 1-3 minutes long usually ending in some sort of joke/pun or other madness. could do like.. serveral eps at a time type of reaction session. Edit: those panels in the break at the middle where you mentioned Cleaning Lady Aqua.. all of those cuts are actually FROM HoloGra now that I see them. lol.

As I'm getting to this Vid early today I'll share some interesting stuff.
At the time of this Cover's release Hololive's JP Branch only had generations 0 to 4,
All the girls in this MV; except for Flare of Gen 3 and all of Gen 4, were animated using their 3D models. Of the girls shown two of them are sadly no longer a part of Hololive, those two being Kiryu Coco and Uruha Rushia.
The original version of this song was made using the UTAUloid Kasane Teto, what is an UTAUloid you ask? Basically a free software version of VOCALoids created by fans of VOCALoids, it pretty hard to find the original these days.
Hololives 5th and 6th JP generation also did a cover each of this song, as did all of Hololive EN; MYTH, Project HOPE, and COUNCIL.
To add to this if you ever wanted to look back at the two members who have left Hololive. You'll be able to look back at Kiryu Coco's stuff as she "Graduated" I.e. retired from Hololive on amicable terms. Unfortunately the situation was not the same for Uruha Rushia as she was "Fired." And as a result her YT channel was wiped clean of all content.
Though I have no doubt that someone out there has uploaded her VODs or MVs somewhere as at one point in time she was Hololive's biggest earner in superchats.

Man, that's a blast from the past! That cover came out before EN was even a thing. That was such a different landscape. 4th Gen and Flare didn't even have 3D avatars yet.

Btw, during the intermission in the song, most of those 3D clips were from a sorta anime show they do on the main channel called "Holo no Graffiti" Or "HoloGra" for short. It's mostly super absurdist comedy with tons of references to each members either lore, or stuff that has happened during their streams. It would make for great reaction content btw, there's quite a lot of episodes to go through since they make a new one each week, and it has been going for a few years.

This song was how I got myself familiar with Hololive members back when I first got exposed to this rabbit hole myself and is good for getting an idea oh exactly how large this group is. This video includes a couple members that unfortunately are no longer active, and was released before their 5th and 6th generations debuted so there is still more to discover! Highly recommend checking out the EN version of this song as well, they did great in this!
Also, of the girls in this that were unable to voice their parts in time for this (hence why they were quiet) I highly recommend checking out Kiryu Coco's "Weather Hackers". It's absolutely incredible!

AZKI is also from Gen 0, she and Suisei were part of the same musical branch, that was one of AZKI first models, she just recently joined Hololive proper so not many know about her but she is an amazing singer, and has a lot of Collab songs with other members.
Regarding the cheeky part each gen tends to have a Kusogaki (cheeky brat sort of).
The animations you saw are from Hologra which are short animations anime style made on Hololive's main channel, you should watch them they tend to have subtitles.

The blond elf with floating twin tails is Aki Rosenthal. She was legitimately one of the most obscure Hololive members for a long time, but back in 2020 she got a big boost through a very uplifting fan project on Reddit aimed at gaining her more support.
She's a really good dancer, a frequent guest on the main Hololive channel, and her 3D lives are well known for their excellent quality. "Wonder Shower Musical" I think is legitimately in the top ten Hololive concerts of all time, and might even be in the top five.

I would like to recommend Nanashi Mumei with her song A New Start. We know you adore Gura, and Mumei is called Gura's sister or twin because of her very similar voice (which even they get confused, I recommend clips of it) and having a similar sense of humor, and it is sometimes said that they share the same brain cell. On top of that, Mumei is also very talented when it comes to singing. And the song itself, A New Start, is brilliant both musically and animation-wise.

If you're interested in her music, she has an original song "Inochi" which is a perfect entry point, or a song with Suisei called "The Last Frontier" which I think you will absolutely love. That is "Employee A" or A-chan for short. Basically, Hololive's origin story is that Tokino Sora and her best friend A-chan approached Motoaki "Yagoo" Tanigou, the CEO of the tech company COVER Corp to use his new VR technology to make Sora a virtual idol. Thus, Sora became the first idol in the company that would eventually become Hololive, and A-chan became the company's first employee, hence "Employee A". Nowadays, A-chan acts as the public face for all of the behind-the-scenes staff members, managers, producers, etc. while also generally filling those management/producer roles, herself.

This was the first Hololive video I ever saw and I didn't think I would fall into the rabbit hoe. But then the clips got me!
I watched the PekoMiko looney toon battles, suicopath clips, wataoji moments, and the little duck that could.
Indeed Choco has lovely assets :P Her personality definitely plays off it too.
Just to temper expectations, Hololive is entertainment in general, so not all members are big on the musical space. But as another comment mentioned, most of them have at least one banger original song.

5:43 AZKi and the rest of 'generation 0' didn't have generation marks by their names: AZKi, Sora, Roboco, Miko, and Suisei. AZKi is primarily a singer and only streams occasionally. This is also her older model, and she looks pretty different nowadays.
And since you like Suisei and Towa so much, I definitely recommend Kanata (who has an amazing range) and Okayu (who also has a deeper, very smooth voice).

It's a song made by Watame to introduce all members(at that time) with their intro which was from Gen 0-4 before the debut of 5th, but Hololive made an official version that includes up to Hololive ID Gen 2. I'd also love to see you react to both "hololive summer shiny smily story". There's two versions of it, one back in 2019, and a newer one in 2022. They're both just 1:44 long so it should be easy to find.
The crazy thing to consider is that with EN, ID and two more JP generations since this, this is less than half of them.
I’ve always found it funny that the four who didn’t show up for this are four of the five (alongside Miko, with her hugely viral clips) I would directly credit with first helping to make Hololive popular in the west. Haachama was the first Hololive member who could speak some English, Fubuki had lots of great meme moments and Korone’s cuteness was constantly clipped. Then there was Coco, who was fully fluent in English, had all the memes, and basically laid the ground work for Holo EN to be a thing. Despite missing the four, this video instantly became huge with fans all over and is now regarded as a theme of sorts for Hololive, to the point that new generations since always have to record their own version.

Also at 2:15 yes you barely scratched the surface of what there is to discover in terms as talent. People will more likely recommend you the most popular/exposed talents so you're going to miss out on some real gems (and I'm not even talking necessarily about hidden gems but some talents like Sora / Azki). I know it's the rules of the channel and it's the people who decide, but I have to admit that it's sometimes frustrating (although I understand that the number of talents to cover can be overwhelming at first). So I hope that with time you will have the opportunity to know those gems.
*On that note, small suggestion for your Tuesday Hololive streams on Twitch: why at the end of each watch-along won't you react to the songs that were submitted to the previous vote but didn't earn their place for a reaction on TH-cam? That way you already have content ready - instead of randoms clips - and we, the viewers, get what we voted for (at least some of us)*

This version only has 24 members because at the time Hololive was that small, only generations 0-4 + Gamers. Since then they added 5th and 6th generations to the Japan branch, as well as 2 brand new branches: Hololive English with 2 generations + IRyS (Myth + CouncilRyS), and Hololive Indonesia with 3 generations of their own!
And EACH of those newly added branches and generations since then has made their OWN cover of this song as well!

This song is a good way to figure out which Hololive talents are in what generation in the Japan branch of Hololive. The groups of five that you see them together as are each of the generations that debuted together.
The only exception is the one group of four are called Hololive Gamers and they're not part of the generation count.
Hololive JP gen 5 and gen 6 have their own version of this song, as well as Hololive Indonesia and Hololive English. It's worth viewing those videos as well to learn who those talents are.

PekoMiko War (Their duet music video) is one heck of a song. They're HILARIOUS together.
From what I understand, Korone overslept - this was around the time where her short streams were 12 hours, Haachama (Akai Haato) was studying in Australia, Fubuki was overworking herself and her manager forced her to take a break and Coco thought it was a tech test and didn't bother to come in to record. The final non-speaking one, Coco, is an absolute legend. You have her to thank for convincing YAGOO to open an English branch. She's the very reason why vtubing caught on in the west.

Coco graduated from Hololive on July 1st 2021 and we miss her every day. My dream is that every new Hololive fan learns about Coco's legacy as the strongest Dragon Kaichou.

As a proud forever Tatsunoko, I can admit Coco doesn't have the most traditionally "good" singing voice, but she put a lot of practice in to get better, and we love her expression and enthusiasm and will support her no matter what!
