That's a monster of a machine. I was just thinking that a wheel on the front would be a good idea when you mentioned it. (The rear of the ski could do with an upturn. I can see it digging in in reverse). 👍

i like this project. looks like fun. im a silly guy in nh also. my project is just the opposite of this. i put cars tires on a snowmobile. its starting to look like a can-am spyder!

If you got the brakes working you could apply them independently to each track to make it turn better I think. Looks really fun!
