the part at the end where "younger you would be so proud of your art now" made me cry😭😭 this entire video was so awesome thank you so much i know me and a lot of other artists really needed to hear this message
this is genuinely such a life changing thing to hear. i have so many ideas and it feels like i never want to do them until im ready, but if i wait until im ready i wonder if ill ever have the time to do all of them. how many projects and ideas i have ideas for, are going to be left unknown and lost to the void because i never put it out there, even a shoddy version of it? sometimes rough drafts of other artists things, ideas and concepts that other people had can lead to someone else making their passion project that lasts a lifetime. every form of art, experience level forgotten, truly molds the world with each creation. i love all of the art in this, physical, musical and spiritual and cant wait to absorb them all
This video is very inspirational for me as a artist/musician as well (+writer ahaha....) it can feel so overwhelming thinking about all of my project ideas/thousands of WIPs lol. In reality the creation processes of these projects are always much more grounded and "smaller" in reality than I make them be in my head. At the end of the day, at the end of my life would I rather have done the thing or not done the thing? The answer is obvious. Thank you for sharing your work
im really glad i found this video. honestly, everything you talked about in this video i relate to a lot. its one of my biggest struggles, i have so many things art and even music related that i wish to do, but i never feel capable enough. i never thought i was a perfectionist, but i know im afraid of failure. i appreciate you saying that people should just start no matter what skill level because i needed to hear that message. i dont want to keep putting my passions off, especially when i know i have the time and drive if i only took the first step. so again, thank you for this video :) also, your background music is very relaxing, almost nostalgic in a way? ill look forward for new uploads, your work is wonderful and inspiring!
Such a sweet message, executed beautifully. The music really pulled it all together, so I was pleasantly surprised when I read that it's all you! Thank you for making this!
Thanks for posting this video. I needed to hear that, I've wanted to try posting smth for a while but I'm insecure about it as I rarely post about my ocs :o) I really appreciate the video, made me realise it doesn’t matter if it's not doing well in social media as long as I enjoy it
this video was really encouraging for me, have quite a few projects i want to start but have barely touched and i really needed a push like this. Also i love the pieces and music you showed! I can definitely see the Adrianne Lenker inspiration and its so beautiful to have your own music playing instead of other's
Thank you so much - you inspired me to draw my idea that I’ve been thinking about for 6 months 😂 just a dude sitting by a campfire… that was literally it and I never drew it yet so I just wanted to say thank you 🙏
I am afraid i won't be accepted as an professional artist with a lack of fundamentals. I practiced fundamentals for so long that I lose the motivation to make any projects anymore because I never improved in my work.
I definitely understand that - sometimes it can help to step away from expectations and actually stop trying so hard to improve and focus on creating work you, yourself, enjoy making and seeing
thanks for this video, really beautiful. love your art + music too :] i worry sometimes about not being good enough to do something or i try biting off more than i get chew and get frustrated when its bad, so this video was a great reminder. good luck on your projects! and to everyone else here too!
So glad I found this video, I loved the whole vibe and your thoughts and how you expressed them felt so genuine and inspiring. I am currently working on my portfolio and trying to get over that fear of not being good enough yet and just doing and creating all the art that I want and need to create in spite of all the fear. So thank you for the encouraging words and the inspiration. And I love your artstyle! excited to see more of your art/videos, keep up the great work
This video started randomly and it's exaclty what I needed to hear, thank you! I loved the music and drawings btw! I'm looking forward to see more of your art. 💗
i’m curious if you upload your music anywhere? or maybe you could post a video with your songs and no talking, i would listen to your music in the background while drawing
THIS MEANS SO MUCH SGHSGSJSJS Sadly I don’t yet but I do plan to start posting music this year!! Taking my own advice haha I can totally put up a music compilation for you sometime though :]
Nice video! you're right I should stop waiting but its hard Im not ready for some things yet but thats alright Ill keep making progress and eventually Ill shoot my shot
You have no idea how badly I needed to listen this. I’m full of ideas all the time but cause my job that takes all my day I cannot finish them even if I start them, and I know that I spent all my free time scrolling on instagram feeling shitty about wasting my time but not doing anything cause I want it to be perfect. I’ve been too focus on pretending to be interesting to the others instead of actually do something interesting for myself and I hate that. But I just deleted instagram to see if I can do something productive in 30 days and really get things done like I want to. And I want to be a creator, not a consumer. Thank you so much for your words🩷🩷🩷 I’m sorry if you don’t understand everything I wrote, English is not my first language but I’m trying to get better at it.
I really do get that, social media can be extremely draining :( Good luck with your creative process! Remember that even if you do end up doom scrolling again sometimes or don’t feel like making art some days that doesn’t define you as an artist or person, it’s just a small moment in your life long journey
Thank you for this. I'm insecure about my art regression but i need to accept the fact that I'm really just growing and adapting ❤

I guess starting the projects you’ve always wanted to does just force you to practice and get better like you wanted in the first place 😅
