    What I’m MOST pleased to see is less and less micro-usb ports on new devices. I hate them with a passion!
    Great review Omar👍😊

    Omar can you please show us how this mic performs while you do an interpretive dance routine? No specific reason just trying to check out your moves before I challenge you to a dance battle.

    Thanks for your review.
    One important information that is lacking in literally all reviews about the Deity Pocket Wireless kit, including yours, is that the Deity receiver doesn't have a headphone port therefore is not compatible with iPhones for any serious shooting unless you add an audio mixer to the equation as any mixer/adapter will have a headphone port.
    I had to buy a Beachtek audio adapter (about £200) to be able to use the Deity with my iPhone 13 Pro. Actually, I returned the Deity but bought it again. This because I really wanted to be able to use their plug-on XLR transmitter (HD-TX). The downside is that now I can monitor the audio but can only use the Deity when I also use a big phone cage because of the size of the Beachtek.I did try the much smaller Rode AI Micro but the Rode reduced the volume of the sound considerably (and yes. I did add gain on the Rode app in my iPhone)
    I used this Deity pocket wireless (receiver/lavaliere/3.5 mm to XLR adapter) to record a piece to camera I shot with a JVC 850 for a news story. It was all good. I am happy that I can use the Deity for both my broadcast camera and my iPhone.

    I listen this on good quality PC speakers and I find the Rode sound to be a bit better, when both were clipped on the T-shirt. But at nearly half price (according to the video description), if I was buying, I would take the Deity. We are talking about non-professional devices after all.

    • @showdaKOs
      @showdaKOs 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Go 2 (with 2 transmitters) is at 300, the Go at 200 and the Deity at 170. The Rode is more expensive sure, but I would like an in depth comparison before buying either. Or, in fact a Deity pocket Duo at 240, 250 (I think this are much more versatile with 2 receivers).

    Note: The Rode Wireless Go receiver can be used while charging, so there is an advantage to having separate ports.

    I have used Deity in my film projects. I've been using the Deity Connect dual channel lately but I constantly have signal problems when I have another dual channel kit running. The advantage of the deity is that they are super cheap compared to sennheiser or lectrosonics, but the price justifies the mistake. therefore, as a sound director, I do not recommend them.

    Will any USB type-c to 3.5mm work with the Deity pocket?

    • @Matthew_Raymond
      @Matthew_Raymond 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Others might work, but not every cable works with every device. There’s no real standard. I suggest you research which cables work with each device beforehand. For example, my Fujifilm X-T30 works with one cable I bought, but not the other. Personally, I think using your USB charging port as the audio out is one of the dumbest trends in electronics, made dumber by the fact that manufacturers clearly didn’t have a standardized implementation.
