i ride an average of 400-800 km a month - and i switched to pirelli p-zeros and was initially very pleased with the ride and how easy they were to mount - but then the punctures began .. over and over and over and over - sometimes twice on one ride - not pinch flats , not dirty rims - just iffy tires that will puncture on a whim. I've had more flats on pirelli's at speed than any other bike tire - period. Despite the pirellis actually feeling better and being waaaaaay easier to mount I have absolutely no confidence in their ability to maintain pressure - the thought of the pirellis flatting out when I'm bombing the local hc climb terrifies me.. there is no worse feeling than your tire suddenly going flat and squirly when you are descending at ludicrous speed - so today I went back to Continental GP5000's .. maybe when Pirelli has put another decade into testing these I'll give them another try - but for now I recommend pirelli for those who get paid to tell you about them , those who go slow , those who have to have the latest branding , and of course - those who don't mind flying into pavement at 80kmph wearing lycra.

If someone isn’t that much in to cycling or can’t afford having 2 pair of tires one for winter and one for the rest of the year, what would you recommend having as an all around all year tire? 4s or race vélo ?
GCN Tech, I have asked what the weight of the rubber spikes on the tires add up to. You go on about grams this, aerodynamic that, yet ignore the added weight and turbulence the rubber spikes on the tires produce. Well?

Do you run latex tubes in your carbon rim brake clinchers?
It would be interesting to explain how you film these time comparative time trials, because many studies show that even being followed by a car provides lower air resistance. On many shots we feel you guys are being followed, overtaken and following a car or a motorbike
i ride an average of 400-800 km a month - and i switched to pirelli p-zeros and was initially very pleased with the ride and how easy they were to mount - but then the punctures began .. over and over and over and over - sometimes twice on one ride - not pinch flats , not dirty rims - just iffy tires that will puncture on a whim.
Is the compounds of that tire simillar to the F1 tire?
I currently have a 2011 Trek Madone 3.1 which came with Bontrager R1, 700x23c and I am currently using Continental GatorHarshell Black in 25mm. Will the Pirelli P Zero 700x26C fit properly on those wheels?
Nice vid really appreciate it. However you are comparing a winter tyre with a summer race tire so surely to be expected? Why not against the Velo (the non 4s version) which the Race is actually the upgrade from?
Look mum, I cycle with just one hand.
Look mum, I cycle with no hands.
Look mum, i cycle with no teeth. 🤪😅
No teeths means weight savings ;)
Hi Ollie, hope this message finds you well. My tires are 28c, rear is Pirelli cinqurato and front is Pzero race. I couldn’t get the same identical pair as in India there is shortage of tires import due certain govt restrictions. Do you think with this setup is fine or should I place the Pzero race to the rear wheel and cinqurato to the front? If yes then why, please advise. Have a good day :)
How do they compare to the Pirelli Cinturato Velo?
Hi Ollie, are you keeping the Pirellis or the 5000???
Ollie technically dropped himself in this vid 🤣🤣🤣🤣
If someone isn’t that much in to cycling or can’t afford having 2 pair of tires one for winter and one for the rest of the year, what would you recommend having as an all around all year tire? 4s or race vélo ?
Are there for Ecuador ?
are wider tires faster? And what combination of rim and tire works well?
lord half might seem?!
How about a look at the other colors available?
GCN needs a electric motorcycle to record in movement! Much noise...
Ollie. Are you going back to tubeless on your steed or switching to to these?
IMO ... tan sidewall looks great on retro bikes and gravel bikes.
Imagine his time when he gets an Ollie post for his bike. :)
GCN Tech,
I have asked what the weight of the rubber spikes on the tires add up to. You go on about grams this, aerodynamic that, yet ignore the added weight and turbulence the rubber spikes on the tires produce. Well?
Maybe I'm an idiot, but I can't find this PSI/width calculator on Pirelli's website that Ollie is talking about??
I just used tlr version with tubes last weeks. Well
Quality video Ollie!!! Think I will be ordering for summer but I wonder who can track stand best at GCN!???
Cant wait to try this tyre on my Trek Madone bicycle. I have always used Pirelli tyres on my 1000cc Honda Fire blade Motorbike they make the fastest racing tyres they also have the same thread pattern as my Pirelli Corsa motorbike tyres.
woooohoo yellow tires for my classic bianchi that arent slow
Ollie were they filming you riding using a tractor or has the exhaust fallen off your camera vehicle 😂
Did they recommend any pressures for my TT trike?
l would require 4S tire for safety sake or less punctures and weather grip ALSO 47 secs is not alot of difference to me ,it takes more time n frustration to fix a flat !! Now lets see if the 4s comes with tan side walls ....
Would love to see Ollie Vs Tom Last by name last by nature!
